KING JAMES BIBLE | VULGATA |
---|---|
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. | 1 Canticum graduum. Lætatus sum in his quæ dicta sunt mihi : In domum Domini ibimus. |
My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. | 2 Stantes erant pedes nostri in atriis tuis, Jerusalem. |
He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. | 3 Jerusalem, quæ ædificatur ut civitas, cujus participatio ejus in idipsum. |
Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. | 4 Illuc enim ascenderunt tribus, tribus Domini : testimonium Israël, ad confitendum nomini Domini. |
The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand. | 5 Quia illic sederunt sedes in judicio, sedes super domum David. |
The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. | 6 Rogate quæ ad pacem sunt Jerusalem, et abundantia diligentibus te. |
The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. | 7 Fiat pax in virtute tua, et abundantia in turribus tuis. |
The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore. | 8 Propter fratres meos et proximos meos, loquebar pacem de te. |
Propter domum Domini Dei nostri, quæsivi bona tibi. |
