1 Dio što je pripao plemenu sinova Judinih, po njihovim porodicama, bijaše prema granici edomskoj, na jug do Sinske pustinje, na krajnjem jugu.	1 The portion falling to the tribe of the sons of Judah, by clans, was near the frontier of Edom, from thedesert of Zin southwards to Kadesh in the south.
2 A južna im međa išla od kraja Slanoga mora od zaljeva što je na jugu;	2 Their southern frontier began at the tip of the Salt Sea, at the southerly bay;
3 izlazila je onda južno od Akrabimskog uspona, pružala se preko Sina i uzlazila južno od Kadeš Barnee, prelazila Hesron, penjala se k Adari i odatle okretala prema Karkai,	3 it proceeded south of the Ascent of Scorpions, crossed Zin and came up to Kadesh-Barnea from thesouth; past Hezron, it went on to Addar and turned towards Karka;
4 potom prelazila Asmon i dopirala do Potoka egipatskog i najposlije izbijala na more. To vam je južna međa.	4 the frontier then went on to Azmon, came out at the Torrent of Egypt and reached as far as the sea.This is to be your southern frontier.
5 Na istoku je međa bila: Slano more do ušća Jordana. Sjeverna je međa počinjala od Slanog mora kod ušća Jordana.	5 The eastern frontier was the Salt Sea as far as the mouth of the Jordan.
6 Odatle je međa uzlazila u Bet-Hoglu, tekla sjeverno uz Bet-Arabu, išla gore na Kamen Bohana, sina Rubenova.	6 The northern boundary began at the bay at the mouth of the Jordan. The boundary went up to Beth-Hoglah, passed north of Beth-ha-Arabah and went on to the Stone of Bohan son of Reuben.
7 Međa se zatim dizala od Akorske doline prema Debiru, okretala na sjever prema Gelilotu, koji leži naprama Adumimskom usponu, južno od Potoka; dalje je međa prolazila prema vodama En-Šemeša te izlazila kod En-Rogela.	7 The boundary then went on to Debir from the Vale of Achor and turned north towards the stone circleopposite the Ascent of Adummim, which is south of the Torrent; the boundary went on to the Waters of En-Shemesh and came out at En-Rogel.
8 Odatle se preko doline Ben-Hinom s juga dizala k Jebusejskom obronku, to jest k Jeruzalemu. Potom se uspinjala na vrh gore koja prema zapadu gleda na dolinu Hinon i leži na sjevernom kraju doline Refaima.	8 It then went back up the Val ey of Hinnom, coming from the south to the flank of the Jebusite -- that is,Jerusalem -- and climbed to the crest of the mountain barring the Valley of Hinnom to the west, at the northernend of the Val ey of the Rephaim.
9 S vrha te gore zavijala je međa na izvor Neftoah te izlazila prema gradovima u gori Efronu da zatim okrene k Baali, to jest Kirjat Jearimu.	9 From the mountain top, the boundary curved round to the spring of the Waters of Nephtoah, went on tothe towns of Mount Ephron and then turned towards Baalah -- that is, Kiriath-Jearim.
10 Od Baale međa je okretala na zapad prema gori Seiru i onda, prolazeći sjeverno od gore Jearima, to jest Kesalona, spuštala se u Bet-Šemeš te išla k Timni.	10 From Baalah, the boundary curved westwards to the highlands of Seir, skirted the northern slope ofMount Jearim -- that is, Chesalon -- went down to Beth-Shemesh and through Timnah,
11 Dalje je međa tekla k sjevernom obronku Ekrona, okretala prema Šikronu, prelazila visove Baale, pružala se do Jabneela da konačno izbije na more.	11 came out on the northern flank of Ekron, turned towards Shikkeron and, passing through thehighlands of Baalah, came out at Jabneel, and reached as far as the sea.
12 Zapadna je međa Veliko more s obalom. To su bile zemlje sinova Judinih, unaokolo, po porodicama njihovim.	12 The western boundary was the Great Sea itself. Such was the frontier surrounding the sons of Judah,by clans.
13 Hebrona Kaleb, sin Jefuneov, primi dio među sinovima Judinim, kako je Jahve naredio Jošui. Dao mu je Kirjat Arbu, glavni grad sinova Anakovih – Hebron.	13 Caleb son of Jephunneh was given a share within that of the sons of Judah, in accordance withYahweh's order to Joshua: Kiriath-Arba, the town of the father of Anak -- that is, Hebron.
14 Kaleb protjera odatle tri sina Anakova: Šešaja, Ahimana i Talmaja, potomke Anakove.	14 Caleb drove out the three sons of Anak: Sheshai, Ahiman and Talmai, descended from Anak.
15 Odatle krenu na stanovnike Debira, koji se nekoć zvao Kirjat Sefer.	15 From there he marched on the inhabitants of Debir; Debir in olden days was cal ed Kiriath-Sepher.
16 Tada reče Kaleb: »Tko pokori i zauzme Kirjat Sefer, dat ću mu svoju kćer Aksu za ženu.«	16 Caleb then said, 'To the man who attacks and takes Kiriath-Sepher, I shal give my daughter Achsahas wife.'
17 Zauze ga Otniel, sin Kenaza, brata Kalebova; i dade mu Kaleb svoju kćer Aksu za ženu.	17 The man who captured it was Othniel son of Kenaz, brother of Caleb, who gave him his daughterAchsah as wife.
18 Kad je prišla mužu, on je nagovori da u svoga oca zatraži polje. Ona siđe s magarca, a Kaleb je upita: »Šta hoćeš?«	18 When she arrived, he urged her to ask her father for arable land, but when she alighted from thedonkey and Caleb asked her, 'What is the matter?'
19 Ona odgovori: »Daj mi blagoslov! Kad si mi dao kraj u Negebu, daj mi i koji izvor vode.« I on joj dade Gornje i Donje izvore.	19 she said to him, 'Grant me a blessing! As the land you have given me is the Negeb, give me springsof water too!' So Caleb gave her what she wanted, the upper springs and the lower springs.
20 To je bila baština plemena sinova Judinih po porodicama njihovim.	20 Such was the heritage of the tribe of the sons of Judah, by clans.
21 Judina Međašni su gradovi plemena sinova Judinih, duž edomske međe prema jugu, bili: Kabseel, Eder, Jagur;	21 Towns at the extremity of the tribe of the sons of Judah, near the frontier of Edom in the Negeb:Kabzeel, Arad, Jagur,
22 Kina, Dimona, Adada;	22 Kinah, Dimon, Aroer,
23 Kedeš, Hasor Jitnan;	23 Kedesh, Hazor-Ithnan,

63 A Jebusejce koji su živjeli u Jeruzalemu nisu mogli protjerati sinovi Judini. Tako su ostali sa sinovima Judinim u Jeruzalemu sve do danas.	63 The Jebusites, however, who lived in Jerusalem, the sons of Judah were unable to dispossess, andthe Jebusites stil live in Jerusalem today, side by side with the sons of Judah.
