DIODATI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Così portarono l’Arca di Dio, e la posarono in mezzo del padiglione che Davide le avea teso; poi offersero olocausti, e sacrificii da render grazie, davanti a Dio.	1 They brought the ark of God in and put it inside the tent which David had erected for it, and broughtburnt offerings and made communion sacrifices in God's presence.
2 E quando Davide ebbe finito di offerir gli olocausti, e i sacrificii da render grazie, benedisse il popolo nel Nome del Signore.	2 And when David had finished making burnt offerings and communion sacrifices, he blessed thepeople in the name of Yahweh.
3 E spartì a tutti gl’Israeliti, così agli uomini, come alle donne, una focaccia di pane, ed un pezzo di carne, ed un fiasco di vino per uno.	3 To all the Israelites, both men and women, to each, he then distributed a loaf of bread, a portion ofmeat and a raisin cake.
4 Ed ordinò d’infra i Leviti, alcuni ministri per rammemorare, e per celebrare, e per lodare il Signore Iddio d’Israele, davanti all’Arca del Signore;	4 He appointed some of the Levites as ministers before the ark of Yahweh, to extol, glorify and praiseYahweh, God of Israel;
5 Asaf era il capo, e Zaccaria il secondo dopo lui; poi erano Ieiel, e Semiramot, e Iehiel, e Mattitia, ed Eliab, e Benaia, ed Obed-Edom. Or Ieiel sonava con salteri e con cetere; ed Asaf con cembali.	5 first Asaph, second Zechariah, then Uzziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-Edom and Jeiel, who played the lyre and harp, while Asaph played the cymbals.
6 E Benaia, e Iahaziel, sacerdoti, sonavano del continuo con trombe, davanti all’Arca del Patto di Dio	6 The priests Benaiah and Jahaziel continually blew the trumpet before the ark of the covenant of God.
7 ALLORA, in quello stesso giorno, Davide diede primieramente questo salmo in mano ad Asaf, ed a’ suoi fratelli, per celebrare il Signore:	7 On that day, David was the first to assign to Asaph and his kinsmen the giving of thanks to Yahweh:
8 Celebrate il Signore, predicate il suo Nome, E fate chiari e conti i suoi fatti fra i popoli.	8 Give thanks to Yahweh, call his name aloud, proclaim his deeds to the peoples.
9 Cantate a lui, salmeggiategli, Ragionate di tutte le sue maraviglie.	9 Chant to him, play to him, sing about al his wonders!
10 Gloriatevi nel Nome della sua santità; Rallegrisi il cuor di coloro che cercano il Signore.	10 Take pride in his holy name, let your heart rejoice, you seekers of Yahweh!
11 Cercate il Signore, e la sua forza; Ricercate del continuo la sua faccia.	11 Seek out Yahweh, seek his strength, continual y seek out his presence!
12 Ricordate le sue maraviglie ch’egli ha fatte; I suoi miracoli, e i giudicii della sua bocca;	12 Remember what wonders he has done, what miracles, what rulings he has given,
13 O progenie d’Israele, suo servitore; Figliuoli di Giacobbe, suoi eletti.	13 you offspring of Israel his servant, you children of Jacob his chosen one!
14 Egli è il Signore Iddio nostro; I suoi giudicii sono per tutta la terra.	14 For he is Yahweh our God, his authority extends throughout the world.
15 Ricordatevi in perpetuo del suo patto, E in mille generazioni della parola ch’egli ha comandata;	15 For ever remember his covenant, the pact imposed for a thousand generations,
16 Del suo patto, ch’egli fece con Abrahamo, E del suo giuramento ch’egli diede ad Isacco.	16 which he concluded with Abraham, which was sworn by him to Isaac,
17 Il quale egli confermò a Giacobbe, per istatuto; E ad Israele, per patto eterno;	17 since he confirmed it as a law for Jacob, as an eternal covenant for Israel,
18 Dicendo: Io ti darò il paese di Canaan, Per sorte della vostra eredità;	18 saying, 'I wil give you the country; Canaan is the measure of your inheritance,
19 Quantunque voi siate in piccol numero, Ben poca gente, e forestieri in esso.	19 'though you are few in number, only a few strangers there!'
20 E mentre essi andavano qua e là da una gente ad un’altra, E da un regno ad un altro popolo;	20 As they wandered from nation to nation, from this kingdom to that people,
21 Non permise che alcuno li oppressasse, Anzi castigò dei re per amor loro,	21 he would not let anyone oppress them and on their account he admonished kings,
22 Dicendo: Non toccate i miei Unti, E non fate male a’ miei profeti.	22 'You are not to touch my anointed ones, my prophets are not to be harmed!'
23 Cantate al Signore, o abitanti di tutta la terra, Predicate tuttodì la sua salute.	23 Sing to Yahweh, all the earth, day after day proclaim his salvation!
24 Raccontate la sua gloria fra le genti, Le sue maraviglie fra tutti i popoli.	24 Declare his glory among the nations, his marvels to every people!
25 Perciocchè il Signore è grande, e degno di gran laude; Ed è tremendo sopra tutti gl’iddii.	25 Great is Yahweh, worthy of all praise, more awesome than any of the gods.
26 Perciocchè tutti gl’iddii de’ popoli sono idoli; Ma il Signore ha fatti i cieli.	26 Nothingness, al the gods of the nations. Yahweh it was who made the heavens,
27 Maestà e magnificenza sono davanti a lui; Forza e letizia sono nel luogo dove egli abita.	27 in his presence are splendour and majesty, in his sanctuary strength and joy.
28 O voi, nazioni de’ popoli, rendete al Signore, Rendete al Signore gloria e potenza;	28 Give Yahweh his due, families of peoples, give Yahweh his due of glory and power,
29 Rendete al Signore la gloria dovuta al suo Nome; Recate offerte, e venite davanti a lui; Adorate il Signore nel magnifico santuario.	29 give Yahweh the glory due to his name! Bring an offering and enter his courts, bow down to Yahwehin his sacred court,
30 Tremate, o abitanti di tutta la terra, per la sua presenza; Certo il mondo sarà stabilito, senza potere esser più smosso.	30 tremble before him, al the earth! The world is firm, it cannot be moved,
31 Rallegrinsi i cieli, e festeggi la terra, E dicasi fra le genti: Il Signore regna.	31 let the heavens rejoice and earth be glad! Say among the nations, 'Yahweh is king!'
32 Risuoni il mare, e quello che in esso si contiene; Festeggino le campagne, e tutto quello ch’è in esse.	32 Let the sea thunder and al it holds, the countryside exult and everything that is in it,
33 Allora gli alberi delle selve sclameranno di allegrezza, Per la presenza del Signore; Perciocchè egli viene per giudicar la terra.	33 and al the trees of the forest cry out for joy at Yahweh's approach, for he is coming to judge theearth.
34 Celebrate il Signore; perciocchè egli è buono; Perciocchè la sua benignità è in eterno.	34 Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his faithful love lasts for ever!
35 E dite: Salvaci, o Dio della nostra salute, Raccoglici, e riscuotici dalle nazioni; Acciocchè celebriamo il Nome della tua santità, E ci gloriamo nella tua laude.	35 Say, 'Save us, God of our salvation, gather us together and free us from the nations, so that we maygive thanks to your holy name -- to be extolled whenever you are praised!'
36 Benedetto sia il Signore Iddio d’Israele da un secolo all’altro. E tutto il popolo disse: Amen; e lodò il Signore	36 Blessed be Yahweh, God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting! To which all the people said,'Amen, Al eluia!'
37 DAVIDE adunque lasciò quivi, davanti all’Arca del Patto del Signore, Asaf e i suoi fratelli, per ministrar del continuo davanti all’Arca, giorno per giorno del continuo.	37 There before the ark of the covenant of Yahweh David left Asaph and his kinsmen to maintain apermanent ministry before the ark as each day's ritual required,
38 Lasciò ancora Obed-Edom, figliuolo di Iedutun, ed Hosa, co’ lor fratelli, in numero di sessantotto.	38 and also Obed-Edom with his sixty-eight kinsmen. Obed-Edom son of Jeduthun, and Hosah weregatekeepers.
39 Lasciò eziandio il sacerdote Sadoc, co’ sacerdoti suoi fratelli, davanti al Tabernacolo del Signore, nell’alto luogo ch’era in Gabaon;	39 Zadok the priest and the priests, his kinsmen, he left before the dwelling of Yahweh on the high placeat Gibeon
40 per offerir del continuo, sera e mattina, olocausti al Signore sopra l’Altare degli olocausti; e per far tutto quello che è scritto nella Legge del Signore, la quale egli ha data ad Israele.	40 to bring burnt offerings to Yahweh unfailingly, morning and evening, on the altar of burnt offering, andto carry out al that is written in the Law of Yahweh laid down for Israel.
41 E con loro, erano Heman, e Iedutun, e gli altri ch’erano stati eletti, e nominatamente ordinati per celebrare il Signore perciocchè la sua benignità è in eterno;	41 With them were Heman and Jeduthun and the rest of those who were chosen and assigned by nameto give thanks to Yahweh, 'for his faithful love lasts for ever'.
42 erano, dico, con loro Heman, e Iedutun, con trombe, e con cembali, per li sonatori, e con altri strumenti della musica di Dio. E i figliuoli di Iedutun aveano la cura della porta.	42 With them were Heman and Jeduthun to play trumpets and cymbals, as wel as instruments foraccompanying sacred song. The sons of Jeduthun were in charge of the gates.
43 Poi tutto il popolo se ne andò, ciascuno a casa sua. E Davide se ne ritornò per benedire la casa sua	43 Then al the people went back to their homes, and David went back to bless his household.
