| 1 ¡Escuchen esto, sacerdotes, presta atención, casa de Israel, atienden, casa del rey, porque el juicio es con ustedes! Sí, ustedes han sido una trampa en Mispá y una red tendida sobre el Tabor. | 1 Hear this, O priests! Give heed, O house of Israel! Hearken, O house of the king! For the judgment pertains to you; for you have been a snare at Mizpah, and a net spread upon Tabor. |
| 2 Ellos ahondaron la fosa de Sitím y yo los voy a corregir a todos. | 2 And they have made deep the pit of Shittim; but I will chastise all of them. |
| 3 Yo conozco a Efraím y no se me oculta Israel: porque tú, Efraím, has inducido a la prostitución, Israel se ha vuelto impuro. | 3 I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from me; for now, O Ephraim, you have played the harlot, Israel is defiled. |
| 4 Sus acciones no los dejan volver a su Dios, porque hay en medio de ellos un espíritu de prostitución y no conocen al Señor. | 4 Their deeds do not permit them to return to their God. For the spirit of harlotry is within them, and they know not the LORD. |
| 5 La arrogancia de Jacob atestigua contra él; Israel y Efraím tropiezan por su propia culpa y junto con ellos, también tropieza Judá. | 5 The pride of Israel testifies to his face; Ephraim shall stumble in his guilt; Judah also shall stumble with them. |
| 6 Con sus rebaños y su ganado irán en busca del Señor, pero no lo encontrarán: él se ha librado de ellos. | 6 With their flocks and herds they shall go to seek the LORD, but they will not find him; he has withdrawn from them. |
| 7 Han traicionado al Señor, porque engendraron bastardos: ahora la luna nueva los va a devorar, a ellos junto con sus campos. | 7 They have dealt faithlessly with the LORD; for they have borne alien children. Now the new moon shall devour them with their fields. |
| 8 ¡Hagan sonar el cuerno en Guibeá y la trompeta en Ramá! ¡Den la alarma en Bet Aven! ¡Alerta, Benjamín! | 8 Blow the horn in Gibe-ah, the trumpet in Ramah. Sound the alarm at Beth-aven; tremble, O Benjamin! |
| 9 Efraím será una desolación en el día del castigo; entre las tribus de Israel, yo hago saber una cosa cierta. | 9 Ephraim shall become a desolation in the day of punishment; among the tribes of Israel I declare what is sure. |
| 10 Los jefes de Judá han sido como los que desplazan los límites: sobre ellos derramaré mi furor a raudales. | 10 The princes of Judah have become like those who remove the landmark; upon them I will pour out my wrath like water. |
| 11 Efraím está oprimido, se ha conculcado el derecho, porque él había resuelto ir detrás de la inmundicia. | 11 Ephraim is oppressed, crushed in judgment, because he was determined to go after vanity. |
| 12 Yo seré como polilla para Efraím y como caries para la casa de Judá. | 12 Therefore I am like a moth to Ephraim, and like dry rot to the house of Judah. |
| 13 Cuando Efraím vio su enfermedad y Judá su llaga, Efraím acudió a Asiria y Judá envió mensajeros al gran rey.
