1 Cuando fueron deportados a Babilonia por sus infidelidades, todos los israelitas estaban registrados en las listas genealógicas y en el libro de los reyes de Israel y de Judá.	1 So all Israel was enrolled by genealogies; and these are written in the Book of the Kings of Israel. And Judah was taken into exile in Babylon because of their unfaithfulness.
2 Los primeros que volvieron a habitar en sus propiedades y ciudades fueron israelitas, sacerdotes, levitas y empleados del Templo.	2 Now the first to dwell again in their possessions in their cities were Israel, the priests, the Levites, and the temple servants.
3 En Jerusalén habitaron descendientes de Judá, de Benjamín, de Efraím y de Manasés.	3 And some of the people of Judah, Benjamin, Ephraim, and Manasseh dwelt in Jerusalem:
4 De los descendientes de Judá: Utai, hijo de Amihud, hijo de Omrí, hijo de Imrí, hijo de Baní, de los hijos de Peres, hijo de Judá.	4 Uthai the son of Ammihud, son of Omri, son of Imri, son of Bani, from the sons of Perez the son of Judah.
5 De los silonitas: Asaías, el primogénito, y sus hijos.	5 And of the Shilonites: Asaiah the first-born, and his sons.
6 De los hijos de Zéraj: Ieuel y sus hermanos: 690 en total.	6 Of the sons of Zerah: Jeuel and their kinsmen, six hundred and ninety.

9 con sus hermanos, según sus listas genealógicas: 956 en total. Todos estos eran jefes de sus respectivas familias.	9 and their kinsmen according to their generations, nine hundred and fifty-six. All these were heads of fathers' houses according to their fathers' houses.

11 Azarías, hijo de Jilquías, hijo de Mesulam, hijo de Sadoc, hijo de Meraiot, hijo de Ajitub, prefecto de la Casa de Dios;	11 and Azariah the son of Hilkiah, son of Meshullam, son of Zadok, son of Meraioth, son of Ahitub, the chief officer of the house of God;
12 Adaías hijo de Ierojam, hijo de Pasjur, hijo de Malquías; Masai, hijo de Adiel, hijo de Iajzerá, hijo de Mesulam, hijo de Mesilemit, hijo de Imer;	12 and Adaiah the son of Jeroham, son of Pashhur, son of Malchijah, and Maasai the son of Adi-el, son of Jahzerah, son of Meshullam, son of Meshillemith, son of Immer;
13 y sus hermanos, jefes de sus respectivas familias; 1.760 hombres para el culto de la Casa de Dios.	13 besides their kinsmen, heads of their fathers' houses, one thousand seven hundred and sixty, very able men for the work of the service of the house of God.
14 De los levitas: Semaías, hijo de Jasub, hijo de Azricam, hijo de Jasabías, de los hijos de Merarí;	14 Of the Levites: Shemaiah the son of Hasshub, son of Azrikam, son of Hashabiah, of the sons of Merari;
15 Bacbacar, Heres, Galal y Matanías, hijo de Micá, hijo de Zicrí, hijo de Asaf;	15 and Bakbakkar, Heresh, Galal, and Mattaniah the son of Mica, son of Zichri, son of Asaph;
16 Abdías, hijo de Semaías, hijo de Galal, hijo de Iedutún; y Berequías, hijo de Asá, hijo de Elcaná, que habitaba en los poblados de los netofatíes.	16 and Obadiah the son of Shemaiah, son of Galal, son of Jeduthun, and Berechiah the son of Asa, son of Elkanah, who dwelt in the villages of the Netophathites.
17 Los porteros eran Salúm, Acub, Talmón, Ajimán y sus hermanos. Salúm era su jefe,	17 The gatekeepers were: Shallum, Akkub, Talmon, Ahiman, and their kinsmen (Shallum being the chief),

20 Antiguamente, su jefe había sido Pinjás, hijo de Eleazar. ¡Que el Señor esté con él!	20 And Phinehas the son of Eleazar was the ruler over them in time past; the LORD was with him.
21 Zacarías, hijo de Meselemías, era portero de la entrada de la Carpa del Encuentro.	21 Zechariah the son of Meshelemiah was gatekeeper at the entrance of the tent of meeting.
22 En total de los elegidos como porteros de los umbrales era de 212, y estaban inscritos en sus poblados. David y Samuel, el vidente, los habían establecido en sus cargos permanentemente.	22 All these, who were chosen as gatekeepers at the thresholds, were two hundred and twelve. They were enrolled by genealogies in their villages. David and Samuel the seer established them in their office of trust.

25 Sus hermanos, que habitaban en sus poblados, tenían que ir periódicamente a estar con ellos durante siete días.	25 and their kinsmen who were in their villages were obliged to come in every seven days, from time to time, to be with these;

29 Otros tenían a su cuidado los utensilios, todos los vasos sagrados, la harina de las ofrendas, el vino, el aceite, el incienso y los aromas.	29 Others of them were appointed over the furniture, and over all the holy utensils, also over the fine flour, the wine, the oil, the incense, and the spices.
30 Pero los que hacían la mezcla de los perfumes aromáticos eran sacerdotes.	30 Others, of the sons of the priests, prepared the mixing of the spices,
31 Matatías, uno de los levitas, el primogénito de Salúm, el coreíta, estaba en cargado permanentemente de las ofrendas que se freían en la sartén.	31 and Mattithiah, one of the Levites, the first-born of Shallum the Korahite, was in charge of making the flat cakes.
32 Entre los quehatitas, sus hermanos, algunos estaban encargados de preparar cada sábado los panes de la ofrenda.	32 Also some of their kinsmen of the Kohathites had charge of the showbread, to prepare it every sabbath.
33 También había cantores, jefes de familias levíticas, que vivían en las habitaciones del templo, exentos de todo otro servicio, porque se ocupaban día y noche de su ministerio.	33 Now these are the singers, the heads of fathers' houses of the Levites, dwelling in the chambers of the temple free from other service, for they were on duty day and night.
34 Estos son, según sus listas genealógicas, los jefes de las familias levíticas que habitaban en Jerusalén.	34 These were heads of fathers' houses of the Levites, according to their generations, leaders, who lived in Jerusalem.
35 En Gabaón habitaban Abí Gabaón y Ieiel, cuya mujer se llamaba Maacá.	35 In Gibeon dwelt the father of Gibeon, Je-iel, and the name of his wife was Maacah,
36 Su hijo primogénito fue Abdón, y los otros, Sur, Quis, Baal, Ner, Nadab,	36 and his first-born son Abdon, then Zur, Kish, Baal, Ner, Nadab,
37 Guedor, Ajió, Zacarías y Miclot.	37 Gedor, Ahio, Zech-ariah and Mikloth;
38 Miclot fue padre de Simam. También estos habitaban en Jerusalén, lo mismo que sus hermanos.	38 and Mikloth was the father of Shime-am; and these also dwelt opposite their kinsmen in Jerusalem, with their kinsmen.
39 Ner fue padre de Quis. Quis fue padre de Saúl, Saúl fue padre de Jonatán, de Malquisúa, de Abinadab y de Esbaal.	39 Ner was the father of Kish, Kish of Saul, Saul of Jonathan, Malchishua, Abinadab, and Eshbaal;
40 El hijo de Jonatán fue Meribaal. Meribaal fue padre de Micá.	40 and the son of Jonathan was Merib-baal; and Merib-baal was the father of Micah.
41 Los hijos de Micá fueron Pitón, Mélec, Tajrea	41 The sons of Micah: Pithon, Melech, Tahre-a, and Ahaz;
42 y Ajaz. Ajaz fue padre de Iará; Iará fue padre de Alémet, de Azmavet y de Zimrí; Zimrí fue padre de Mosá;	42 and Ahaz was the father of Jarah, and Jarah of Alemeth, Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri was the father of Moza.
43 Mosá fue padre de Biná. El hijo de Biná fue Refaías; el hijo de Refaías, Elasá; y el hijo de Elasá, Asel,	43 Moza was the father of Bine-a; and Rephaiah was his son, Ele-asah his son, Azel his son.
44 Asel tuvo seis hijos, que se llamaban Azricam, Bocrú, Ismael, Searías, Abdías y Janán. Estos fueron los hijos de Asel.	44 Azel had six sons and these are their names: Azrikam, Bocheru, Ishmael, She-ariah, Obadiah, and Hanan; these were the sons of Azel.
