1 Yahvé dit à Moïse:	1 The LORD said to Moses,
2 “Voici ce que tu diras aux Israélites: voici le prix du rachat d’une personne que l’on a consacrée à Yahvé par un vœu.	2 "Speak to the Israelites and tell them: When anyone fulfills a vow of offering one or more persons to the LORD, who are to be ransomed at a fixed sum of money,
3 S’il s’agit d’un homme de 20 à 60 ans, tu l’estimeras à 50 sicles d’argent selon le sicle du sanctuaire.	3 for persons between the ages of twenty and sixty, the fixed sum, in sanctuary shekels, shall be fifty silver shekels for a man,
4 Si c’est une femme, ton estimation sera de 30 sicles.	4 and thirty shekels for a woman;
5 Un garçon de cinq à 20 ans, sera estimé à 20 sicles, une fille du même âge à 10 sicles.	5 for persons between the ages of five and twenty, the fixed sum shall be twenty shekels for a youth, and ten for a maiden;
6 Un garçon d’un mois à cinq ans sera estimé à cinq sicles d’argent, une fille du même âge à trois sicles d’argent.	6 for persons between the ages of one month and five years, the fixed sum shall be five silver shekels for a boy, and three for a girl;
7 Au-dessus de 60 ans, un homme sera estimé à 15 sicles, une femme à 10 sicles.	7 for persons of sixty or more, the fixed sum shall be fifteen shekels for a man, and ten for a woman.
8 Si celui qui a fait le vœu est trop pauvre pour payer le rachat, on le présentera devant le prêtre qui fera une estimation, en tenant compte des moyens de celui qui a fait le vœu.	8 However, if the one who took the vow is too poor to meet the fixed sum, the person must be set before the priest, who shall determine the sum for his ransom in keeping with the means of the one who made the vow.
9 Si on offre à Yahvé un animal, il est donné à Yahvé. Il est donc consacré,	9 "If the offering vowed to the LORD is an animal that may be sacrificed, every such animal, when vowed to the LORD, becomes sacred.
10 on ne le changera pas. On ne mettra pas une vilaine bête à la place d’une bonne, ni une bonne à la place d’une vilaine. Si l’on remplace un animal par un autre, ils seront l’un et l’autre consacrés.	10 The offerer shall not present a substitute for it by exchanging either a better for a worse one or a worse for a better one. If he attempts to offer one animal in place of another, both the original and its substitute shall be treated as sacred.
11 S’il s’agit d’un animal impur, que l’on ne peut offrir à Yahvé, on présentera l’animal au prêtre.	11 If the animal vowed to the LORD is unclean and therefore unfit for sacrifice, it must be set before the priest,
12 Le prêtre en fera l’estimation selon qu’il le trouve bon ou mauvais et l’on se fiera à l’estimation du prêtre.	12 who shall determine its value in keeping with its good or bad qualities, and the value set by the priest shall stand.
13 Si l’on veut le racheter, on ajoutera un cinquième au prix de l’estimation.	13 If the offerer wishes to redeem the animal, he shall pay one fifth more than this valuation.
14 Si quelqu’un consacre sa maison en la vouant à Yahvé, le prêtre en fera l’estimation selon qu’elle est bonne ou mauvaise et l’on s’en tiendra à l’estimation du prêtre.	14 "When someone dedicates his house as sacred to the LORD, the priest shall determine its value in keeping with its good or bad points, and the value set by the priest shall stand.
15 Si celui qui a voué sa maison veut la racheter, il ajoutera un cinquième au prix de l’estimation et elle lui reviendra.	15 If the one who dedicated his house wishes to redeem it, he shall pay one fifth more than the price thus established, and then it will again be his.
16 Si quelqu’un consacre à Yahvé une partie de son champ, l’estimation se fera d’après la quantité de semence que reçoit ce champ, à raison de 50 sicles d’argent pour une mesure de semence d’orge.	16 "If the object which someone dedicates to the LORD is a piece of his hereditary land, its valuation shall be made according to the amount of seed required to sow it, the acreage sown with a homer of barley seed being valued at fifty silver shekels.
17 Si quelqu’un consacre son champ l’année même du Jubilé, on s’en tiendra à cette estimation.	17 If the dedication of a field is made at the beginning of a jubilee period, the full valuation shall hold;
18 Mais s’il consacre son champ après le Jubilé, le prêtre évaluera le prix d’après le nombre d’années qui restent jusqu’au prochain Jubilé. Et il fera une réduction sur son estimation.	18 but if it is some time after this, the priest shall estimate its money value according to the number of years left until the next jubilee year, with a corresponding rebate on the valuation.
19 Si celui qui a consacré son champ veut le racheter, il ajoutera un cinquième au prix de l’estimation et le champ lui reviendra.	19 If the one who dedicated his field wishes to redeem it, he shall pay one fifth more than the price thus established, and so reclaim it.
20 Mais s’il ne rachète pas le champ et qu’on l’a vendu à un autre, le champ ne pourra plus être racheté.	20 If, instead of redeeming such a field, he sells it to someone else, it may no longer be redeemed;
21 Et quand viendra l’année du Jubilé, le champ sera voué à Yahvé comme un champ voué par anathème. Il deviendra la propriété du prêtre.	21 but at the jubilee it shall be released as sacred to the LORD; like a field that is doomed, it shall become priestly property.
22 Si quelqu’un consacre à Yahvé un champ qui ne faisait pas partie de son patrimoine, mais qu’il a acheté,	22 "If the field that some man dedicates to the LORD is one he had purchased and not a part of his hereditary property,
23 le prêtre en calculera le prix selon la date de l’année du Jubilé. Cet homme paiera le jour même le prix fixé, et ce paiement sera une chose sainte pour Yahvé.	23 the priest shall compute its value in proportion to the number of years until the next jubilee, and on the same day the price thus established shall be given as sacred to the LORD;
24 À l’année du Jubilé le champ reviendra à celui qui l’avait vendu et au patrimoine duquel il appartenait.	24 at the jubilee, however, the field shall revert to the hereditary owner of this land from whom it had been purchased.
25 Toutes tes estimations seront faites en sicles du sanctuaire. Le sicle est de 20 guéras.	25 "Every valuation shall be made according to the standard of the sanctuary shekel. There are twenty gerahs to the shekel.
26 Cependant personne ne pourra consacrer le premier-né de son bétail, car le premier-né, veau ou brebis, appartient déjà à Yahvé.	26 "Note that a first-born animal, which as such already belongs to the LORD, may not be dedicated by vow to him. If it is an ox or a sheep, it shall be ceded to the LORD;
27 S’il s’agit d’un animal impur, on le rachètera au prix de ton estimation en y ajoutant un cinquième, et s’il n’est pas racheté, il sera vendu selon ton estimation.	27 but if it is an unclean animal, it may be redeemed by paying one fifth more than its fixed value. If it is not redeemed, it shall be sold at its fixed value.
28 Mais lorsqu’on aura voué à Yahvé par anathème une personne, un animal ou un champ qui font partie de son patrimoine, ceux-ci ne pourront ni être vendus, ni être rachetés, car tout ce qui est voué à la mort par anathème, appartient à Yahvé et à lui seul. C’est une chose très sainte.	28 "Note, also, that any one of his possessions which a man vows as doomed to the LORD, whether it is a human being or an animal or a hereditary field, shall be neither sold nor ransomed; everything that is thus doomed becomes most sacred to the LORD.
29 C’est pourquoi aucune personne vouée par anathème ne pourra être rachetée: elle sera mise à mort.	29 All human beings that are doomed lose the right to be redeemed; they must be put to death.
30 La dîme prélevée sur les semences de la terre ou sur les fruits des arbres appartient à Yahvé: c’est une part consacrée à Yahvé.	30 "All tithes of the land, whether in grain from the fields or in fruit from the trees, belong to the LORD, as sacred to him.
31 Si quelqu’un veut racheter quelque chose de sa dîme, il y ajoutera un cinquième.	31 If someone wishes to buy back any of his tithes, he shall pay one fifth more than their value.
32 Le dixième du gros et du petit bétail, de tout ce qui fait partie du troupeau, sera consacré comme dîme à Yahvé.	32 The tithes of the herd and the flock shall be determined by ceding to the LORD as sacred every tenth animal as they are counted by the herdsman's rod.
33 On ne fera pas de choix entre bon et mauvais, on ne remplacera pas l’un par l’autre. Et si l’on fait un échange, la bête remplacée et celle qui la remplace seront consacrées: on ne pourra les racheter.”	33 It shall not matter whether good ones or bad ones are thus chosen, and no exchange may be made. If any exchange is attempted, both the original animal and its substitute shall be treated as sacred, without the right of being bought back."
34 Tels sont les commandements que Yahvé donna à Moïse pour les Israélites sur la montagne du Sinaï.	34 These are the commandments which the LORD gave Moses on Mount Sinai for the Israelites.
