1 Now Joshua was old and advanced in years; and the LORD said to him, "You are old and advanced in years, and there remains yet very much land to be possessed.	1 Mivel Józsue már öreg és élemedett korú volt, azt mondta neki az Úr: »megöregedtél és koros vagy és igen terjedelmes föld maradt hátra, amely még nincs kisorsolva:
2 This is the land that yet remains: all the regions of the Philistines, and all those of the Geshurites	2 tudniillik a filiszteusok egész Galileája és az egész Gessúri,
3 (from the Shihor, which is east of Egypt, northward to the boundary of Ekron, it is reckoned as Canaanite; there are five rulers of the Philistines, those of Gaza, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Gath, and Ekron), and those of the Avvim,	3 az Egyiptomot öntöző Zavaros folyótól kezdve észak felé egészen Akkaron határáig, Kánaán földjének az a része, amely az öt filiszteus fejedelemségre, a gázaiakra, az asdódiakra, az askaloniakra, a getiekre, az akkaroniakra oszlik,

6 all the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon to Misrephoth-maim, even all the Sidonians. I will myself drive them out from before the people of Israel; only allot the land to Israel for an inheritance, as I have commanded you.	6 mindazoknak a vidéke, akik a hegyen laknak, a Libanontól egészen Miszrefót vizéig, s akik mindnyájan szidoniak. 7 Now therefore divide this land for an inheritance to the nine tribes and half the tribe of Manasseh."	7 és oszd el most ezt a földet a kilenc törzsnek és Manassze ezen fél törzsének birtokul.«
8 With the other half of the tribe of Manasseh the Reubenites and the Gadites received their inheritance, which Moses gave them, beyond the Jordan eastward, as Moses the servant of the LORD gave them:	8 Rúben és Gád már megkapták földjüket, amelyet Mózes, az Úr szolgája adott nekik, a Jordán folyón túl, a keleti oldalon:
9 from Aroer, which is on the edge of the valley of the Arnon, and the city that is in the middle of the valley, and all the tableland of Medeba as far as Dibon;	9 Ároertől kezdve, amely az Arnon patak partján és a patakvölgy közepén fekszik, Medebának egész síkságát Dibonig,
10 and all the cities of Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, as far as the boundary of the Ammonites;	10 és Szihonnak, az amoriták azon királyának, aki Hesbonban uralkodott, valamennyi városát egészen Ammon fiainak határáig,
11 and Gilead, and the region of the Geshurites and Ma-acathites, and all Mount Hermon, and all Bashan to Salecah;	11 továbbá Gileádot meg a gessúriták és a makátiták határát, meg az egész Hermon hegyet és az egész Básánt Szálkáig,
12 all the kingdom of Og in Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edre-i (he alone was left of the remnant of the Rephaim); these Moses had defeated and driven out.	12 Ógnak egész básáni birodalmát. 14 To the tribe of Levi alone Moses gave no inheritance; the offerings by fire to the LORD God of Israel are their inheritance, as he said to him.	14 Lévi törzsének Mózes nem adott birtokot, mert annak örökségét az Úrnak, Izrael Istenének tűzáldozatai és áldozati ajándékai alkotják, amint mondta neki.
15 And Moses gave an inheritance to the tribe of the Reubenites according to their families.	15 Rúben fiai törzsének tehát Mózes adott birtokot nemzetségeikhez mérten.
16 So their territory was from Aroer, which is on the edge of the valley of the Arnon, and the city that is in the middle of the valley, and all the tableland by Medeba;	16 Az ő területük lett Ároertől kezdve, amely az Arnon patak partján s ugyanazon patak völgyének közepén fekszik: az egész síkság, amely Medebára visz,

21 that is, all the cities of the tableland, and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, whom Moses defeated with the leaders of Midian, Evi and Rekem and Zur and Hur and Reba, the princes of Sihon, who dwelt in the land.	21 és a síkság valamennyi városa; mindez Szihonnak, az amoriták azon királyának a birodalma volt, aki Hesbonban lakott s akit Mózes a mádiánita fejedelmekkel, Hivvitával, Rekemmel, Szúrral, Húrral és Rebével, Szihon vezéreivel, annak a földnek lakóival együtt megvert;
22 Balaam also, the son of Beor, the soothsayer, the people of Israel killed with the sword among the rest of their slain.	22 Bálámot, Beor fiát, a jóst is megölték Izrael fiai karddal, a többi megöltekkel együtt.
23 And the border of the people of Reuben was the Jordan as a boundary. This was the inheritance of the Reubenites, according to their families with their cities and villages.	23 Rúben fiainak határa a Jordán folyó lett. Ez a rúbeniták birtoka, nemzetségeikhez mérten, ezek városaik és falvaik.
24 And Moses gave an inheritance also to the tribe of the Gadites, according to their families.	24 Gád törzsének és fiainak is adott Mózes birtokot, nemzetségeikhez mérten; ennek ez a felosztása,
25 Their territory was Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the Ammonites, to Aroer, which is east of Rabbah,	25 területe: Jázer, tovább Gileád valamennyi városa, meg Ammon fiai földjének a fele addig az Ároerig, amely Rábbával szemben van
26 and from Heshbon to Ramath-mizpeh and Betonim, and from Mahanaim to the territory of Debir,	26 és Hesbontól Rámót-Maszféig és Bétóninig és Maniámtól Debir határáig,
27 and in the valley Beth-haram, Beth-nimrah, Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon, having the Jordan as a boundary, to the lower end of the Sea of Chinnereth, eastward beyond the Jordan.	27 a völgyben pedig Béthárán, Bétnemra, Szukkót, Száfon – Szihon heseboni király országának többi része. 28 This is the inheritance of the Gadites according to their families, with their cities and villages.	28 Ez Gád fiainak, nemzetségeikhez mért birtoka, ezek a városok és falvaik.
29 And Moses gave an inheritance to the half-tribe of Manasseh; it was allotted to the half-tribe of the Manassites according to their families.	29 Manassze törzse felének és fiainak is adott birtokot, nemzetségeikhez mérten.
30 Their region extended from Mahanaim, through all Bashan, the whole kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and all the towns of Jair, which are in Bashan, sixty cities,	30 Ennek területe lett Maniámtól kiindulva az egész Básán, azaz Ógnak, Básán királyának egész országa, így Jaír valamennyi faluja, amely Básánban van, hatvan város,
31 and half Gilead, and Ashtaroth, and Edre-i, the cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan; these were allotted to the people of Machir the son of Manasseh for the half of the Machirites according to their families.	31 és Gileádnak a fele és Astarót és Edrái, Óg básáni országának fővárosai.
