1 Corinthians 3

1 But I, brethren, could not address you as spiritual men, but as men of the flesh, as babes in Christ.	1 - Ed io, o fratelli, non potei parlare a voi come a spirituali ma vi parlai come a gente carnale, quasi bambini in Cristo.
2 I fed you with milk, not solid food; for you were not ready for it; and even yet you are not ready,	2 Vi ho dato del latte da bere, non del cibo solido: non eravate ancora in grado di tollerarlo.
3 for you are still of the flesh. For while there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not of the flesh, and behaving like ordinary men?	3 Ma neanche ora siete in grado, poichè siete ancora carnali. Dal momento che vi sono tra voi gelosie e contese, non è egli vero che siete carnali, e vi conducete secondo l'uomo?
4 For when one says, "I belong to Paul," and another, "I belong to Apollos," are you not merely men?	4 Quand'uno dice: «Io son di Paolo», e un altro: «Io d'Apollo», non siete uomini! E che cos'è Apollo? che cosa Paolo?
5 What then is Apollos? What is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, as the Lord assigned to each.	5 Sono dei ministri di Colui al quale avete creduto, secondo che a ciascuno ha dato il Signore.
6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth.	6 Io ho piantato, Apollo ha innaffiato, ma è Dio che ha fatto crescere;
7 So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth.	7 di modo che nulla è il piantatore, nulla l'innaffiatore, ma è tutto il Dio che fa crescere.
8 He who plants and he who waters are equal, and each shall receive his wages according to his labor.	8 Il piantatore poi e l'innaffiatore sono la stessa cosa; ciascuno riceverà la propria mercede secondo la fatica propria;
9 For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, God's building.	9 poichè noi siamo cooperatori di Dio; il campo di Dio, l'edificio di Dio siete voi.
10 According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and another man is building upon it. Let each man take care how he builds upon it.	10 Secondo la grazia di Dio a me concessa, io da savio architetto ho posto il fondamento, un altro ci lavora su. Ciascuno guardi come fabbrica;
11 For no other foundation can any one lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.	11 poichè nessuno può porre altra base oltre quella che già c'è, che è Gesù Cristo.
12 Now if any one builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw--	12 E se alcuno fabbrica sulla base cose d'oro, d'argento, pietre preziose, legni, fieno, paglia,
13 each man's work will become manifest; for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done.	13 l'opera di ciascuno si farà manifesta; il giorno del Signore lo mostrerà, poichè quel giorno si rivela nel fuoco, e il fuoco metterà alla prova quale è l'opera di ciascuno.
14 If the work which any man has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward.	14 E se rimarrà quel lavoro che uno ha sopraedificato, ne avrà ricompensa.
15 If any man's work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire.	15 Se l'opera di qualcuno sarà bruciata, ne soffrirà danno; egli però sarà salvato, così appunto per mezzo del fuoco.
16 Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?	16 Non sapete che siete il tempio di Dio, e che lo Spirito di Dio in voi abita?
17 If any one destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For God's temple is holy, and that temple you are.	17 Se alcuno guasta il tempio di Dio, Iddio guasterà lui; poichè il tempio di Dio è santo, quali pur voi siete.
18 Let no one deceive himself. If any one among you thinks that he is wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise.	18 Nessuno inganni se stesso; se alcuno fra voi crede di essere savio della sapienza di questo secolo, diventi stolto per farsi savio.
19 For the wisdom of this world is folly with God. For it is written, "He catches the wise in their craftiness,"	19 Poichè la sapienza di questo mondo è stoltezza presso Dio. Sta scritto: " Io impiglierò i savi nella loro malizia ".
20 and again, "The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile."	20 E di nuovo: " Il Signore conosce i pensamenti dei savi, e sa che son vuoti ".
21 So let no one boast of men. For all things are yours,	21 Di modo che nessuno si glorii quando si tratta di uomini;
22 whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future, all are yours;	22 ogni cosa è vostra, sia Paolo, sia Apollo, sia il mondo, sia la vita, sia la morte, sia le cose che sono ora, sia le avvenire, tutte son vostre;
23 and you are Christs; and Christ is Gods.	23 ma voi siete di Cristo e Cristo di Dio.
