1 What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound?	1 ¿Qué diremos entonces? ¿Qué debemos seguir pecando para que abunde la gracia?
2 By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?	2 ¡Ni pensarlo! ¿Cómo es posible que los que hemos muerto al pecado sigamos viviendo en él?
3 Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?	3 ¿No saben ustedes que todos los que fuimos bautizados en Cristo Jesús, nos hemos sumergido en su muerte?
4 We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.	4 Por el bautismo fuimos sepultados con él en la muerte, para que así como Cristo resucitó por la gloria del Padre, también nosotros llevemos una Vida nueva.
5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his.	5 Porque si nos hemos identificado con Cristo por una muerte semejante a la suya, también nos identificaremos con él en la resurrección.
6 We know that our old self was crucified with him so that the sinful body might be destroyed, and we might no longer be enslaved to sin.	6 Comprendámoslo: nuestro hombre viejo ha sido crucificado con él, para que fuera destruido este cuerpo de pecado, y así dejáramos de ser esclavos del pecado.
7 For he who has died is freed from sin.	7 Porque el que está muerto, no debe nada al pecado.
8 But if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him.	8 Pero si hemos muerto con Cristo, creemos que también viviremos con él.
9 For we know that Christ being raised from the dead will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him.	9 Sabemos que Cristo, después de resucitar, no muere más, porque la muerte ya no tiene poder sobre él.
10 The death he died he died to sin, once for all, but the life he lives he lives to God.	10 Al morir, él murió al pecado, una vez por todas; y ahora que vive, vive para Dios.
11 So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.	11 Así también ustedes, considérense muertos al pecado y vivos para Dios en Cristo Jesús.
12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal bodies, to make you obey their passions.	12 No permitan que el pecado reine en sus cuerpos mortales, obedeciendo a sus bajos deseos.
13 Do not yield your members to sin as instruments of wickedness, but yield yourselves to God as men who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments of righteousness.	13 Ni hagan de sus miembros instrumentos de injusticia al servicio del pecado, sino ofrézcanse ustedes mismos a Dios, como quienes han pasado de la muerte a la Vida, y hagan de sus miembros instrumentos de justicia al servicio de Dios.
14 For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.	14 Que el pecado no tenga más dominio sobre ustedes, ya que no están sometidos a la Ley, sino a la gracia.
15 What then? Are we to sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means!	15 ¿Entonces qué? ¿Vamos a pecar porque no estamos sometidos a la Ley sino a la gracia? ¡De ninguna manera!
16 Do you not know that if you yield yourselves to any one as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness?	16 ¿No saben que al someterse a alguien como esclavos para obedecerle, se hacen esclavos de aquel a quien obedecen, sea del pecado, que conduce a la muerte, sea de la obediencia que conduce a la justicia?
17 But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed,	17 Pero gracias a Dios, ustedes, después de haber sido esclavos del pecado, han obedecido de corazón a la regla de doctrina, a al cual fueron confiados,
18 and, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness.	18 y ahora, liberados del pecado, han llegado a ser servidores de la justicia.
19 I am speaking in human terms, because of your natural limitations. For just as you once yielded your members to impurity and to greater and greater iniquity, so now yield your members to righteousness for sanctification.	19 Voy a hablarles de una manera humana, teniendo en cuenta la debilidad natural de ustedes. Si antes entregaron sus miembros, haciéndolos esclavos de la impureza y del desorden hasta llegar a sus excesos, pónganlos ahora al servicio de la justicia para alcanzar la santidad.
20 When you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.	20 Cuando eran esclavos del pecado, ustedes estaban libres con respecto de la justicia.
21 But then what return did you get from the things of which you are now ashamed? The end of those things is death.	21 Pero, ¿Qué provecho sacaron entonces de las obras que ahora los avergüenzan? El resultado de esas obras es la muerte.
22 But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the return you get is sanctification and its end, eternal life.	22 Ahora, en cambio, ustedes están libres del pecado y sometidos a Dios: el fruto de esto es la santidad y su resultado, la Vida eterna.
23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.	23 Porque el salario del pecado es la muerte, mientras que el don gratuito de Dios es la Vida eterna, en Cristo Jesús, nuestro Señor.
