Ezekiel 35

1 The word of the LORD came to me:	1 Me fue dirigida esta palabra del Señor:
2 "Son of man, set your face against Mount Seir, and prophesy against it,	2 «Hijo de hombre: dirige tu mirada hacia la montaña de Seír y profetiza contra ella.
3 and say to it, Thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I am against you, Mount Seir, and I will stretch out my hand against you, and I will make you a desolation and a waste.	3 Le dirás: “Esto dice el Señor Dios: Aquí estoy contra ti, montaña de Seír. Extenderé mi mano contra ti y te dejaré solitaria y desolada.
4 I will lay your cities waste, and you shall become a desolation; and you shall know that I am the LORD.	4 Dejaré tus ciudades en ruinas, y quedarás solitaria, y reconocerás que yo soy el Señor.
5 Because you cherished perpetual enmity, and gave over the people of Israel to the power of the sword at the time of their calamity, at the time of their final punishment;	5 Porque mantuviste una permanente enemistad contra los hijos de Israel, y los entregaste al poder de la espada en el tiempo del desastre, cuando su pecado llegó al colmo,
6 therefore, as I live, says the Lord GOD, I will prepare you for blood, and blood shall pursue you; because you are guilty of blood, therefore blood shall pursue you.	6 por eso, por mi vida —oráculo del Señor Dios—, te anegaré en sangre, y la sangre te perseguirá. Porque no has aborrecido el crimen, el crimen te perseguirá.
7 I will make Mount Seir a waste and a desolation; and I will cut off from it all who come and go.	7 La montaña de Seír quedará solitaria y desolada, y exterminaré de ella a quien va y a quien viene.
8 And I will fill your mountains with the slain; on your hills and in your valleys and in all your ravines those slain with the sword shall fall.	8 Llenaré de cadáveres tus montes: en tus colinas, valles y torrentes caerán los traspasados por la espada.
9 I will make you a perpetual desolation, and your cities shall not be inhabited. Then you will know that I am the LORD.	9 Te convertiré para siempre en un desierto, no serán habitadas tus ciudades, y sabréis que yo soy el Señor.
10 "Because you said, 'These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will take possession of them,--although the LORD was there--	10 Por haber dicho: ‘Las dos naciones serán mías, me apoderaré de los dos países’ —y el Señor estaba allí— ,
11 therefore, as I live, says the Lord GOD, I will deal with you according to the anger and envy which you showed because of your hatred against them; and I will make myself known among you, when I judge you.	11 por eso, por mi vida, oráculo del Señor Dios, te trataré con la misma ira apasionada con que actuaste contra ellos llevado por tu odio. Y ellos me reconocerán cuando te aplique la sentencia.
12 And you shall know that I, the LORD, have heard all the revilings which you uttered against the mountains of Israel, saying, 'They are laid desolate, they are given us to devour.'	12 Reconocerás que yo, el Señor, había oído todas las injurias que proferías contra los montes de Israel cuando decías: ‘Están devastados. Nos pertenecen como despojos’.
13 And you magnified yourselves against me with your mouth, and multiplied your words against me; I heard it.	13 Habéis hablado contra mí con arrogancia y proferido palabras altaneras: yo lo he oído.
14 Thus says the Lord GOD: For the rejoicing of the whole earth I will make you desolate.	14 Esto dice el Señor Dios: Toda la tierra se alegrará cuando te convierta en un desierto.
15 As you rejoiced over the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so I will deal with you; you shall be desolate, Mount Seir, and all Edom, all of it. Then they will know that I am the LORD.	15 Como te alegraste cuando quedó desolada la heredad de la casa de Israel, así haré contigo: quedará desolada la montaña de Seír y todo el territorio de Edón, y sabrán que yo soy el Señor”».
