Ezekiel 2

1 And he said to me, "Son of man, stand upon your feet, and I will speak with you."	1 E questa è la [visione della] similitudine della gloria di Dio Signore; e io vidi e caddi nella mia faccia, e udii la voce del parlante. E disse a me: o figliuolo d'uomo, sta sopra li tuoi piedi, e parlerò teco.
2 And when he spoke to me, the Spirit entered into me and set me upon my feet; and I heard him speaking to me.	2 E lo spirito entrò in me, da poi che mi ebbe parlato, e dirizzò me sopra li miei piedi; e udio quello che parlava a me.
3 And he said to me, "Son of man, I send you to the people of Israel, to a nation of rebels, who have rebelled against me; they and their fathers have transgressed against me to this very day.	3 E dicea: o figliuolo d' uomo, io ti mando ai figliuoli d' Israel, alla gente che ha apostatato, che si partirono da me; [elli e] li loro padri prevaricarono lo mio patto infino a questo dì.
4 The people also are impudent and stubborn: I send you to them; and you shall say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD.'	4 E li loro figliuoli sono di duro collo, e di cuore indomabile, a' quali ti mando, e dirai loro: questo dice lo Signore Iddio;
5 And whether they hear or refuse to hear (for they are a rebellious house) they will know that there has been a prophet among them.	5 se forse ovver essi odono, o se forse riposano, però ch' ella è casa molto aspra; e sapranno che lo profeta è in mezzo di loro.
6 And you, son of man, be not afraid of them, nor be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you and you sit upon scorpions; be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, for they are a rebellious house.	6 Adunque tu, figliuolo d' uomo, non temere loro, e non avere paura di loro parole, però che costoro, che sono teco, sono increduli e sovvertitori, e abiti con scorpioni; non temere le loro parole, e non temere lo loro volto, per ch' ella è casa esaperante.
7 And you shall speak my words to them, whether they hear or refuse to hear; for they are a rebellious house.	7 Adunque parlerai a loro le mie parole, se forse le udissono, e stessono cheti; però che sono molto pessimi, e ritornano adietro dalla parola mia.
8 "But you, son of man, hear what I say to you; be not rebellious like that rebellious house; open your mouth, and eat what I give you."	8 E tu, figliuolo d' uomo, odi le parole ch' io parlerò a te; e non volere esser esasperante, (cioè che non ti correggi), come fece la casa d' Israel; apri la bocca tua, e manduca queste cose ch' io ti do.
9 And when I looked, behold, a hand was stretched out to me, and, lo, a written scroll was in it;	9 E io vidi, ed ecco la mano mandata a me, nella quale era involto uno libro; e spanse quello inanzi a me, il quale era scritto dentro e di fuori; ed erano ivi scritte lamentazioni, e verso (cioè di quelli che si debbono salvare): ed eravi iscritto guai, (che s'intende per li dannati).
10 and he spread it before me; and it had writing on the front and on the back, and there were written on it words of lamentation and mourning and woe.
