Jeremiah 32

1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar.	1 Lo detto che disse Iddio a Ieremia profeta, nell' anno decimo di Sedecia, re di Giuda; egli è lo decimo ottavo anno di Nabucodonosor.
2 At that time the army of the king of Babylon was besieging Jerusalem, and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the guard which was in the palace of the king of Judah.	2 Allora lo esèrcito dello re di Babilonia assediava Ierusalem; e Ieremia profeta era rinchiuso nel cammino della carcere, il quale era nella casa Idello re di Giuda.
3 For Zedekiah king of Judah had imprisoned him, saying, "Why do you prophesy and say, 'Thus says the LORD: Behold, I am giving this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall take it;	3 E avealo rinchiuso Sedecia, dicente: per che indovini, dicendo: questo dice Iddio: ecco io darò questa città nelle mani dello re di Babilonia ...?
4 Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but shall surely be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him face to face and see him eye to eye;	4 ... e parlerà la sua bocca colla sua, e li suoi occhi vederanno li occhi di lui;
5 and he shall take Zedekiah to Babylon, and there he shall remain until I visit him, says the LORD; though you fight against the Chaldeans, you shall not succeed'?"	5 e menerà Sedecia in Babilonia; e ivi sarà insino a tanto ch' io visiti lui, dice Iddio; ma se voi schermirete incontro alli Caldei, non averete niuna cosa prospera?
6 Jeremiah said, "The word of the LORD came to me:	6 E disse Ieremia: Iddio mi disse:
7 Behold, Hanamel the son of Shallum your uncle will come to you and say, 'Buy my field which is at Anathoth, for the right of redemption by purchase is yours.'	7 Ecco Anameel, figliuolo di Sellum, tuo zio verrà a te, dicente: compera a te lo mio campo, lo quale è in Anatot; però che a te tocca di comperarlo, per che tu se' più prossimano.
8 Then Hanamel my cousin came to me in the court of the guard, in accordance with the word of the LORD, and said to me, 'Buy my field which is at Anathoth in the land of Benjamin, for the right of possession and redemption is yours; buy it for yourself.' Then I knew that this was the word of the LORD.	8 E Anameel figliuolo del mio zio venne a me secondo la parola di Dio all' antiporto della carcere, e disse a me: possiedi lo mio campo, lo quale è in Anatot nella terra di Beniamin; però che a te tocca la ereditate, e tu se' prossimano di possessione. Intesi che fosse la parola di Dio.
9 "And I bought the field at Anathoth from Hanamel my cousin, and weighed out the money to him, seventeen shekels of silver.	9 E comperai lo campo di Anameel, figliuolo del mio zio, il quale è in Anatot; e diedigli sette statere, [e dieci monete] d' ariento.
10 I signed the deed, sealed it, got witnesses, and weighed the money on scales.	10 E scrissilo nel libro, e segnailo, ed ebbici testimoni; e pesai l'argento colla statera.
11 Then I took the sealed deed of purchase, containing the terms and conditions, and the open copy;	11 E tolsi il libro della possessione segnato con promessione e fermezza e segni di fuori.
12 and I gave the deed of purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah son of Mahseiah, in the presence of Hanamel my cousin, in the presence of the witnesses who signed the deed of purchase, and in the presence of all the Jews who were sitting in the court of the guard.	12 E diedi il libro della possessione a Baruc, figliuolo di Neri, figliuolo di Maasia, nella presenza di Anameel, mio zio, innanzi a' testimoni i quali erano scritti nello libro della compera, e nella presenza di tutti li giudei i quali sedeano nel cammino della carcere.
13 I charged Baruch in their presence, saying,	13 E comandai a Baruc dinanzi a loro, dicendo:
14 'Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Take these deeds, both this sealed deed of purchase and this open deed, and put them in an earthenware vessel, that they may last for a long time.	14 Questo dice lo Signore [degli esèrciti] Iddio d'Israel piglia lo libro della compera segnato, e questo libro lo quale è aperto, e ponli in uno vasello nascoso, acciò ci possano istare molto tempo.
15 For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Houses and fields and vineyards shall again be bought in this land.'	15 Questo dice lo Signore delli esèrciti, Iddio d'Israel: ancora si possederanno le case e li campi e le vigne in questa terra.
16 "After I had given the deed of purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah, I prayed to the LORD, saying:	16 E orai a Dio, poi ch' io diedi lo libro della possessione a Baruc, figliuolo di Neri, dicendoli :
17 'Ah Lord GOD! It is thou who hast made the heavens and the earth by thy great power and by thy outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for thee,	17 Ohimè, ohimè, ohimè, Signore Iddio! tu facesti lo cielo e la terra nella tua grande fortezza e nel tuo braccio disteso; e non saranno malagevoli a te tutte le parole.
18 who showest steadfast love to thousands, but dost requite the guilt of fathers to their children after them, O great and mighty God whose name is the LORD of hosts,	18 Però che tu fai misericordia a mille, e rendi la iniquitade de' padri nel seno de' loro figliuoli dopo loro; o Signore delli esèrciti, grande e potentissimo lo tuo nome.
19 great in counsel and mighty in deed; whose eyes are open to all the ways of men, rewarding every man according to his ways and according to the fruit of his doings;	19 Grande per consiglio non può mai esser [com] preso in pensiero; di cui li occhi sono aperti sopra le vie de' figliuoli di Adam, acciò che renda a ciascuno secondo le vie [sue], e secondo lo frutto che tu truovi.
20 who hast shown signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, and to this day in Israel and among all mankind, and hast made thee a name, as at this day.	20 Il quale ponesti segni nella terra d' Egitto insino a questo dì, e in Israel e nelli uomini; e facesti lo nome tuo come è questo dì.
21 Thou didst bring thy people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs and wonders, with a strong hand and outstretched arm, and with great terror;	21 E menasti lo popolo tuo d' Israel della terra d' Egitto, con segni e con mano robusta e con braccio. disteso e con grande spaventamento.
22 and thou gavest them this land, which thou didst swear to their fathers to give them, a land flowing with milk and honey;	22 E dèsti loro questa terra, la quale tu giurasti di dare alli loro padri, terra abbondante di latte e di miele.
23 and they entered and took possession of it. But they did not obey thy voice or walk in thy law; they did nothing of all thou didst command them to do. Therefore thou hast made all this evil come upon them.	23 Ed entrati possederono quella; e non (udirono, cioè non) obbedirono alla voce tua (cioè alla voce di Dio), e non andarono per tua legge; e tutte le cose che comandasti loro che facessono [non fecero], e vennero loro tutti questi mali.
24 Behold, the siege mounds have come up to the city to take it, and because of sword and famine and pestilence the city is given into the hands of the Chaldeans who are fighting against it. What thou didst speak has come to pass, and behold, thou seest it.	24 Ecco l' armadure sono tutte ordinate incontro alla città, acciò che sia presa; la terra è data nelle mani de' Caldei, i quali combattono incontro a lei, dalla faccia del coltello e della fame e della pestilenza; e tutte le cose che tu parlasti, loro sono avvenute, sì come tu medesimo vedi.
25 Yet thou, O Lord GOD, hast said to me, "Buy the field for money and get witnesses"--though the city is given into the hands of the Chaldeans.'"	25 E tu, Signore Iddio, di' a me: compera lo campo collo argento, e abbivi testimoni, conciosial cosa che la terra sia data nella mano de' Caldei?
26 The word of the LORD came to Jeremiah:	26 E disse Iddio a me:
27 "Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh; is anything too hard for me?	27 Ecco io sono lo Signore Iddio della universa carne: o sarà a me malagevole ogni parola?
28 Therefore, thus says the LORD: Behold, I am giving this city into the hands of the Chaldeans and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and he shall take it.	28 Però questo dice Iddio: ecco io darò questa cittade in mano delli Caldei, e in mano dello re di Babilonia, e piglieranno quella.
29 The Chaldeans who are fighting against this city shall come and set this city on fire, and burn it, with the houses on whose roofs incense has been offered to Baal and drink offerings have been poured out to other gods, to provoke me to anger.	29 E verranno li Caldei combattendo incontro a questa terra, e accenderannola, e anche la casa dov' elli sacrificavano a Baal e alli iddi istrani a commovere me a ira.
30 For the sons of Israel and the sons of Judah have done nothing but evil in my sight from their youth; the sons of Israel have done nothing but provoke me to anger by the work of their hands, says the LORD.	30 E quelli di Giuda e li figliuoli d' Israel (stavano e) facevano male nuovamente innanzi alli miei occhi dalla loro giovinezza; li figliuoli d' Israel, i quali insino a ora mi fanno inacerbire nelle opere delle loro mani, dice Iddio.
31 This city has aroused my anger and wrath, from the day it was built to this day, so that I will remove it from my sight	31 Però che questa città m'è fatta in furore e in disdegno, dal dì che la edificarono insino a questo dì, la quale sarà tolta via dal mio cospetto,
32 because of all the evil of the sons of Israel and the sons of Judah which they did to provoke me to anger--their kings and their princes, their priests and their prophets, the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.	32 per la malizia de' figliuoli d' Israel e de' figliuoli di Giuda, la quale egli feceno provocandomi ad ira, egli e li loro re e li loro principi e i loro sacerdoti e i loro profeti, uomini di Giuda e abitatori di Ierusalem.
33 They have turned to me their back and not their face; and though I have taught them persistently they have not listened to receive instruction.	33 E volsono a me le reni, e non la faccia, quando li ammaestrava nel mattutino (cioè in sul dì); e dimostravali, e non mi volsero udire per ricevere la disciplina.
34 They set up their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to defile it.	34 E puosono i loro idoli nella casa nella quale fu invocato lo mio nome, acciò che corrompessono quella.
35 They built the high places of Baal in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to offer up their sons and daughters to Molech, though I did not command them, nor did it enter into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.	35 Ed edificarono le (grandi) altezze a Baal, le quali sono nella valle [del figliuolo] d' Ennom, acciò ch' egli avvezzassono li loro figliuoli [e le loro figliuole] a Moloc (cioè uno idolo); la quale cosa io non mandai loro, e non scese nel mio cuore, che facessono questa abominazione, e che menassono in peccato Giuda.
36 "Now therefore thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning this city of which you say, 'It is given into the hand of the king of Babylon by sword, by famine, and by pestilence:	36 E ora per queste cose dice Iddio d' Israel a questa città, la quale voi dite che fia data nelle mani dello re di Babilonia in coltello e in fame e in pestilenza:
37 Behold, I will gather them from all the countries to which I drove them in my anger and my wrath and in great indignation; I will bring them back to this place, and I will make them dwell in safety.	37 Ecco, io li radunerò di tutte le universe terre, alle quali io li cacciai nel mio furore e nella mia ira e nella mia grande indignazione; e riducerolli a questo luogo, e farolli abitare con fidanza.
38 And they shall be my people, and I will be their God.	38 E saranno a me in populo, e io sarò a loro Iddio.
39 I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for their own good and the good of their children after them.	39 E darò loro uno cuore e una anima, acciò che temano me per tutti li loro dì, acciò ch' egli abbiano bene, e li loro figliuoli dopo loro.
40 I will make with them an everlasting covenant, that I will not turn away from doing good to them; and I will put the fear of me in their hearts, that they may not turn from me.	40 E farò con loro patto sempiterno, e non mancherò loro mai a bene fare; e darò lo mio timore nel loro cuore, acciò che non si partano da me.
41 I will rejoice in doing them good, and I will plant them in this land in faithfulness, with all my heart and all my soul.	41 E rallegrerommi sopra loro, quando io averò fatto loro bene, e pianterolli in questa terra nella verità, con tutto lo mio cuore e con tutta la mia anima.
42 "For thus says the LORD: Just as I have brought all this great evil upon this people, so I will bring upon them all the good that I promise them.	42 Però che questo dice Iddio: sì come io addussi in questo populo tutto questo grande male, così adducerò io sopra loro ogni bene, lo quale io parlerò loro.
43 Fields shall be bought in this land of which you are saying, It is a desolation, without man or beast; it is given into the hands of the Chaldeans.	43 E li campi saranno posseduti in questa terra, della quale voi dite ch' è deserta, però che non rimase nè uomo nè bestia, e sì è data in mano dei Caldei.
44 Fields shall be bought for money, and deeds shall be signed and sealed and witnessed, in the land of Benjamin, in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, in the cities of the hill country, in the cities of the Shephelah, and in the cities of the Negeb; for I will restore their fortunes, says the LORD."	44 Li campi si compreranno di pecunia, e saranno scritti nel libro, e porravvisi lo segno (cioè lo suggello), e saranno aggiunti testimonii (cioè) nella terra di Beniamin e nel circuito di Ierusalem ... e nelle città de' campi [e nelle città] che sono inverso di austro; però che io convertirò la loro cattività, dice Iddio.
