Jeremiah 27

1 In the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah the son of Josiah, king of Judah, this word came to Jeremiah from the LORD.	1 (Au début du règne de Sédécias, fils de Josias, roi de Juda, cette parole fut adressée à Jérémie de lapart de Yahvé.)
2 Thus the LORD said to me: "Make yourself thongs and yoke-bars, and put them on your neck.	2 Yahvé me parla ainsi: Fais-toi des cordes et un joug et mets-les sur ta nuque.
3 Send word to the king of Edom, the king of Moab, the king of the sons of Ammon, the king of Tyre, and the king of Sidon by the hand of the envoys who have come to Jerusalem to Zedekiah king of Judah.	3 Puis envoie-les au roi d'Edom, au roi de Moab, au roi des Ammonites, au roi de Tyr et au roi deSidon, par l'entremise de leurs envoyés qui sont venus à Jérusalem auprès de Sédécias, roi de Juda.
4 Give them this charge for their masters: 'Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: This is what you shall say to your masters:	4 Charge-les pour leurs maîtres de cette commission: "Ainsi parle Yahvé Sabaot, le Dieu d'Israël.Parlez donc ainsi à vos maîtres:
5 "It is I who by my great power and my outstretched arm have made the earth, with the men and animals that are on the earth, and I give it to whomever it seems right to me.	5 C'est moi qui ai fait, par ma grande puissance et mon bras étendu, la terre, l'homme et les bêtes quisont sur la terre; et je les donne à qui bon me semble.
6 Now I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, my servant, and I have given him also the beasts of the field to serve him.	6 Or présentement, j'ai remis tous ces pays aux mains de Nabuchodonosor, roi de Babylone, monserviteur; j'ai mis à son service même les bêtes des champs.
7 All the nations shall serve him and his son and his grandson, until the time of his own land comes; then many nations and great kings shall make him their slave.	7 (Toutes les nations le serviront ainsi que son fils et son petit-fils jusqu'à ce que vienne aussi letemps marqué pour son pays; alors de puissantes nations et de grands rois l'asserviront.)
8 "'"But if any nation or kingdom will not serve this Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and put its neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, I will punish that nation with the sword, with famine, and with pestilence, says the LORD, until I have consumed it by his hand.	8 La nation ou le royaume qui ne servira pas Nabuchodonosor, roi de Babylone, et n'offrira pas sanuque au joug du roi de Babylone, c'est par l'épée, la famine et la peste que je visiterai cette nation - oracle deYahvé - jusqu'à ce que je l'aie achevée par sa main.
9 So do not listen to your prophets, your diviners, your dreamers, your soothsayers, or your sorcerers, who are saying to you, 'You shall not serve the king of Babylon.'	9 Et vous, n'écoutez pas vos prophètes, devins, songe-creux, enchanteurs et magiciens qui vousdisent: Vous ne serez pas asservis au roi de Babylone!
10 For it is a lie which they are prophesying to you, with the result that you will be removed far from your land, and I will drive you out, and you will perish.	10 C'est le mensonge qu'ils vous prophétisent; le résultat, c'est qu'ils vous feront bannir de votre sol,que je vous chasserai et que vous périrez.
11 But any nation which will bring its neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon and serve him, I will leave on its own land, to till it and dwell there, says the LORD."'"	11 Mais la nation qui offrira sa nuque au joug du roi de Babylone et se mettra à son service, je luiaccorderai du repos sur son sol - oracle de Yahvé - elle le cultivera et y restera."
12 To Zedekiah king of Judah I spoke in like manner: "Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live.	12 Et à Sédécias, roi de Juda, je parlai exactement de la même manière; je lui dis: "Offrez vosnuques au joug du roi de Babylone; servez-le ainsi que son peuple, et vous vivrez.
13 Why will you and your people die by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence, as the LORD has spoken concerning any nation which will not serve the king of Babylon?	13 (Pourquoi tenez-vous à mourir, toi et ton peuple, par l'épée, la famine et la peste, comme Yahvéen a menacé la nation qui ne servira pas le roi de Babylone?)
14 Do not listen to the words of the prophets who are saying to you, 'You shall not serve the king of Babylon,' for it is a lie which they are prophesying to you.	14 Et n'écoutez pas les paroles que vous disent les prophètes: Vous ne serez pas asservis au roi deBabylone. C'est le mensonge qu'ils vous prophétisent.
15 I have not sent them, says the LORD, but they are prophesying falsely in my name, with the result that I will drive you out and you will perish, you and the prophets who are prophesying to you."	15 Car je ne les ai point envoyés - oracle de Yahvé - c'est le mensonge qu'ils vous prophétisent enmon nom. Le résultat c'est que je vous chasserai et que vous périrez, vous et les prophètes qui vousprophétisent."
16 Then I spoke to the priests and to all this people, saying, "Thus says the LORD: Do not listen to the words of your prophets who are prophesying to you, saying, 'Behold, the vessels of the LORD's house will now shortly be brought back from Babylon,' for it is a lie which they are prophesying to you.	16 Et aux prêtres et à tout ce peuple, je parlai en ces termes: "Ainsi parle Yahvé. N'écoutez pas lesparoles de vos prophètes qui vous prophétisent ainsi: Voici, les ustensiles du Temple de Yahvé vont êtreramenés bientôt et rapidement de Babylone; c'est le mensonge qu'ils vous prophétisent.
17 Do not listen to them; serve the king of Babylon and live. Why should this city become a desolation?	17 (Ne les écoutez pas. Servez le roi de Babylone et vous vivrez. Pourquoi cette ville deviendrait-elle une ruine?)
18 If they are prophets, and if the word of the LORD is with them, then let them intercede with the LORD of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of the LORD, in the house of the king of Judah, and in Jerusalem may not go to Babylon.	18 S'ils sont prophètes, s'ils ont avec eux la parole de Yahvé, qu'ils intercèdent auprès de YahvéSabaot pour que ne s'en aille pas à Babylone ce qui reste d'ustensiles dans le Temple de Yahvé, dans le palaisroyal de Juda et à Jérusalem!
19 For thus says the LORD of hosts concerning the pillars, the sea, the stands, and the rest of the vessels which are left in this city,	19 Car ainsi parle Yahvé au sujet (des colonnes, de la Mer, des bases et) des autres ustensiles restésdans cette ville,
20 which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon did not take away, when he took into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem--	20 ceux que n'a pas enlevés Nabuchodonosor, roi de Babylone, quand il emmena en captivité deJérusalem à Babylone Jékonias, fils de Joiaqim, roi de Juda (avec tous les notables de Juda et de Jérusalem).
21 thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels which are left in the house of the LORD, in the house of the king of Judah, and in Jerusalem:	21 Oui, ainsi parle Yahvé Sabaot, le Dieu d'Israël, au sujet des ustensiles qui restent dans le Templede Yahvé, dans le palais royal de Juda et à Jérusalem:
22 They shall be carried to Babylon and remain there until the day when I give attention to them, says the LORD. Then I will bring them back and restore them to this place."	22 ils seront emportés à Babylone (où ils resteront jusqu'au jour où je les visiterai), oracle de Yahvé.(Alors je les ferai remonter et revenir en ce lieu!)"
