Leviticus 1

1 The LORD called Moses, and spoke to him from the tent of meeting, saying,	1 Il Signore chiamò Mosè e gli parlò dalla tenda del convegno, dicendo:
2 "Speak to the people of Israel, and say to them, When any man of you brings an offering to the LORD, you shall bring your offering of cattle from the herd or from the flock.	2 "Parla ai figli di Israele e di' loro: Quando uno di voi presenterà un'offerta al Signore, potrà farlo di bovini o di ovini.
3 "If his offering is a burnt offering from the herd, he shall offer a male without blemish; he shall offer it at the door of the tent of meeting, that he may be accepted before the LORD;	3 Se la sua offerta è un olocausto di bovini, l'offra maschio senza difetto; l'offra all'ingresso della tenda del convegno, perché sia gradito alla presenza del Signore.
4 he shall lay his hand upon the head of the burnt offering, and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him.	4 Imponga la mano sulla testa dell'olocausto e sarà gradito a suo beneficio, per fare espiazione per lui;
5 Then he shall kill the bull before the LORD; and Aaron's sons the priests shall present the blood, and throw the blood round about against the altar that is at the door of the tent of meeting.	5 poi immoli l'animale alla presenza del Signore, e i sacerdoti, figli di Aronne, offrano il sangue e lo spargano intorno all'altare che sta all'ingresso della tenda del convegno;
6 And he shall flay the burnt offering and cut it into pieces;	6 scuoi l'olocausto e lo tagli a pezzi.
7 and the sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire on the altar, and lay wood in order upon the fire;	7 I sacerdoti, figli di Aronne, mettano il fuoco sull'altare e dispongano la legna sul fuoco,
8 and Aaron's sons the priests shall lay the pieces, the head, and the fat, in order upon the wood that is on the fire upon the altar;	8 dispongano i pezzi, compresi testa e grasso, sulla legna posta sul fuoco che si trova sull'altare;
9 but its entrails and its legs he shall wash with water. And the priest shall burn the whole on the altar, as a burnt offering, an offering by fire, a pleasing odor to the LORD.	9 lavi nell'acqua intestini e zampe e il sacerdote faccia salire il fumo di tutto ciò sull'altare. E' un olocausto, un dono offerto come odore gradito al Signore.
10 "If his gift for a burnt offering is from the flock, from the sheep or goats, he shall offer a male without blemish;	10 Se la sua offerta è presa dal bestiame minuto, pecore o capre per l'olocausto, l'offra maschio senza difetti;
11 and he shall kill it on the north side of the altar before the LORD, and Aaron's sons the priests shall throw its blood against the altar round about.	11 lo immoli al lato nord dell'altare, alla presenza del Signore, e i sacerdoti, figli di Aronne, ne spargano il sangue intorno all'altare;
12 And he shall cut it into pieces, with its head and its fat, and the priest shall lay them in order upon the wood that is on the fire upon the altar;	12 lo tagli a pezzi e il sacerdote li disponga, con la testa e il grasso, sulla legna posta sul fuoco che si trova sull'altare;
13 but the entrails and the legs he shall wash with water. And the priest shall offer the whole, and burn it on the altar; it is a burnt offering, an offering by fire, a pleasing odor to the LORD.	13 lavi nell'acqua intestini e zampe e il sacerdote offra il tutto e ne faccia salire il fumo all'altare. E' un olocausto, dono offerto come odore gradito al Signore.
14 "If his offering to the LORD is a burnt offering of birds, then he shall bring his offering of turtledoves or of young pigeons.	14 Se la sua offerta al Signore consiste in un olocausto di uccelli, faccia la sua offerta di tortore o di colombi.
15 And the priest shall bring it to the altar and wring off its head, and burn it on the altar; and its blood shall be drained out on the side of the altar;	15 Il sacerdote l'offra all'altare, ne rompa la testa, ne faccia salire il fumo all'altare e il sangue sia scolato lungo la parete dell'altare;
16 and he shall take away its crop with the feathers, and cast it beside the altar on the east side, in the place for ashes;	16 ne stacchi il gozzo con le piume e lo getti accanto all'altare a oriente, nel luogo della cenere.
17 he shall tear it by its wings, but shall not divide it asunder. And the priest shall burn it on the altar, upon the wood that is on the fire; it is a burnt offering, an offering by fire, a pleasing odor to the LORD.	17 Lo squarti, prendendolo per le ali, senza dividerlo in due, e il sacerdote ne faccia salire il fumo all'altare sulla legna posta sul fuoco. E' un olocausto, dono offerto come odore gradito al Signore.
