1 The LORD reigns; let the earth rejoice; let the many coastlands be glad!	1 Salmo dello stesso Davidde. Cantate al Signore un cantico nuovo, perché mirabili cose egli ha fatto.
2 Clouds and thick darkness are round about him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.	2 La destra di lui, e il suo braccio santo si operarono la salute.
3 Fire goes before him, and burns up his adversaries round about.	3 Il Signore ha manifestata la sua salute: ha rivelata la sua giustizia agli occhi delle nazioni.
4 His lightnings lighten the world; the earth sees and trembles.	4 Si è ricordato della sua misericordia, e della sua verità a favor della casa di Israele. Gli ultimi confini della terra hanno tutti veduto la salute del nostro Dio.
5 The mountains melt like wax before the LORD, before the Lord of all the earth.	5 Canti con giubilo laude a Dio tutta quanta la terra: cantate, ed esultate al suono de' musicali strumenti.
6 The heavens proclaim his righteousness; and all the peoples behold his glory.	6 Cantate cantici al Signore sopra la cetra, sulla cetra, e sul saltero, al suono di trombe di metallo, e di buccine.
7 All worshipers of images are put to shame, who make their boast in worthless idols; all gods bow down before him.	7 Cantate con voci di giubilo alla presenza del Signore, che è Re: sia in movimento il mare, e tutto quello, che lo riempie, la terra tutta, e quelli, che l'abitano.
8 Zion hears and is glad, and the daughters of Judah rejoice, because of thy judgments, O God.	8 I fiumi batteranno le mani: i monti eziandio esulteranno dinanzi al Signore: perché egli è venuto a governare la terra.
9 For thou, O LORD, art most high over all the earth; thou art exalted far above all gods.	9 Egli governerà la terra con giustizia, e i popoli con equità.
10 The LORD loves those who hate evil; he preserves the lives of his saints; he delivers them from the hand of the wicked.
11 Light dawns for the righteous, and joy for the upright in heart.
12 Rejoice in the LORD, O you righteous, and give thanks to his holy name!
