Psalms 76

1 To the choirmaster: with stringed instruments. A Psalm of Asaph. A Song. In Judah God is known, his name is great in Israel.	1 Εις τον πρωτον μουσικον, επι Νεγινωθ. Ψαλμος ωδης του Ασαφ.>> Γνωστος ειναι εν τη Ιουδαια ο Θεος? εν τω Ισραηλ μεγα το ονομα αυτου.
2 His abode has been established in Salem, his dwelling place in Zion.	2 Η δε σκηνη αυτου ειναι εν Σαλημ, και το κατοικητηριον αυτου εν Σιων.
3 There he broke the flashing arrows, the shield, the sword, and the weapons of war. [Selah]	3 Εκει συνετριψε τα βελη του τοξου, την ασπιδα και την ρομφαιαν και τον πολεμον. Διαψαλμα.
4 Glorious art thou, more majestic than the everlasting mountains.	4 Εισαι λαμπροτερος υπερ τα ορη των αρπακτηρων.
5 The stouthearted were stripped of their spoil; they sank into sleep; all the men of war were unable to use their hands.	5 Οι θρασυκαρδιοι εγυμνωθησαν? εκοιμηθησαν τον υπνον αυτων? και ουδεις των ρωμαλεων ανδρων ευρηκε τας χειρας αυτου.
6 At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both rider and horse lay stunned.	6 Απο επιτιμησεως σου, Θεε του Ιακωβ, επεσον εις βαθυτατον υπνον και η αμαξα και ο ιππος.
7 But thou, terrible art thou! Who can stand before thee when once thy anger is roused?	7 Συ εισαι φοβερος? και τις δυναται να σταθη εμπροσθεν σου, οταν οργισθης;
8 From the heavens thou didst utter judgment; the earth feared and was still,	8 Εξ ουρανου εκαμες να ακουσθη κρισις? η γη εφοβηθη και ησυχασεν,
9 when God arose to establish judgment to save all the oppressed of the earth. [Selah]	9 οτε εσηκωθη εις κρισιν ο Θεος, δια να σωση παντας τους πραους της γης. Διαψαλμα.
10 Surely the wrath of men shall praise thee; the residue of wrath thou wilt gird upon thee.	10 Βεβαιως ο θυμος του ανθρωπου θελει καταντησει εις επαινον σου? θελεις χαλινωσει το υπολοιπον του θυμου.
11 Make your vows to the LORD your God, and perform them; let all around him bring gifts to him who is to be feared,	11 Καμετε ευχας και αποδοτε εις Κυριον τον Θεον σας? παντες οι κυκλω αυτου ας φερωσι δωρα εις τον φοβερον?
12 who cuts off the spirit of princes, who is terrible to the kings of the earth.	12 τον αφαιρουντα το πνευμα των αρχοντων, τον φοβερον εις τους βασιλεις της γης.
