1 To the choirmaster: according to Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation.	1 Salmo di Davide, dato al capo de’ Musici, sopra i figliuoli di Iedutun. L’ANIMA mia si acqueta in Dio solo; Da lui procede la mia salute.
2 He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be greatly moved.	2 Egli solo è la mia rocca e la mia salvezza, Il mio alto ricetto; io non sarò giammai grandemente smosso.
3 How long will you set upon a man to shatter him, all of you, like a leaning wall, a tottering fence?	3 Infino a quando vi avventerete sopra un uomo? Voi stessi sarete uccisi tutti quanti; E sarete simili ad una parete chinata, E ad un muricciuolo sospinto.
4 They only plan to thrust him down from his eminence. They take pleasure in falsehood. They bless with their mouths, but inwardly they curse. [Selah]	4 Essi non consigliano d’altro che di sospinger giù quest’uomo dalla sua altezza; Prendono piacere in menzogna; Benedicono colla lor bocca, Ma maledicono nel loro interiore. Sela.
5 For God alone my soul waits in silence, for my hope is from him.	5 Anima mia, acquetati in Dio solo; Perciocchè la mia speranza pende da lui.
6 He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken.	6 Egli solo è la mia rocca e la mia salvezza; Egli è il mio alto ricetto, io non sarò giammai smosso.
7 On God rests my deliverance and my honor; my mighty rock, my refuge is God.	7 In Dio è la mia salvezza e la mia gloria; In Dio è la mia forte rocca, il mio ricetto
8 Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us. [Selah]	8 Confidatevi in lui, o popolo, in ogni tempo; Spandete i vostri cuori nel suo cospetto; Iddio è la nostra speranza. Sela.
9 Men of low estate are but a breath, men of high estate are a delusion; in the balances they go up; they are together lighter than a breath.	9 Gli uomini volgari non sono altro che vanità, E i nobili altro che menzogna; Se fosser messi in bilance, Tutti insieme sarebbero più leggieri che la vanità stessa.
10 Put no confidence in extortion, set no vain hopes on robbery; if riches increase, set not your heart on them.	10 Non vi confidate in oppressione, Nè in rapina; non datevi alla vanità; Se le ricchezze abbondano, Non vi mettete il cuore.
11 Once God has spoken; twice have I heard this: that power belongs to God;	11 Iddio ha parlato una volta, E due volte ho udito lo stesso; Che ogni forza appartiene a Dio;
12 and that to thee, O Lord, belongs steadfast love. For thou dost requite a man according to his work.	12 E che a te, Signore, appartiene la benignità; Perciocchè tu renderai la retribuzione a ciascuno secondo le sue opere
