2 Ascribe to the LORD the glory of his name; worship the LORD in holy array.	2 Bringt dar dem HERRN die Ehre seines Namens,werft vor dem HERRN euch nieder in heiligem Schmuck!
3 The voice of the LORD is upon the waters; the God of glory thunders, the LORD, upon many waters.	3 Der Donner des HERRN rollt über dem Meer;der Gott der Herrlichkeit donnert,der HERR über weiter Meeresflut!
4 The voice of the LORD is powerful, the voice of the LORD is full of majesty.	4 Der Donner des HERRN erschallt mit Macht,der Donner des HERRN in seiner Pracht!
5 The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars, the LORD breaks the cedars of Lebanon.	5 Der Donner des HERRN zerschmettert die Zedern,ja der HERR zersplittert die Zedern des Libanons
6 He makes Lebanon to skip like a calf, and Sirion like a young wild ox.	6 und läßt sie hüpfen wie Kälbchen,den Libanon und Sirjon (5.Mose 3,9) wie junge Büffel.
7 The voice of the LORD flashes forth flames of fire.	7 Der Donner des HERRN läßt Feuerflammen sprühn;
8 The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness, the LORD shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.	8 der Donner des HERRN macht die Wüste erbeben,der HERR macht erbeben die Wüste Kades (5.Mose 1,19).
9 The voice of the LORD makes the oaks to whirl, and strips the forests bare; and in his temple all cry, "Glory!"	9 Der Donner des HERRN macht Hirschkühe kreißen,entästet die Wälder,und alles ruft in seinem Palast: »Ehre!«
10 The LORD sits enthroned over the flood; the LORD sits enthroned as king for ever.	10 Der HERR hat über der Sintflut (einst) gethront,und als König thront der HERR in Ewigkeit.
11 May the LORD give strength to his people! May the LORD bless his people with peace!	11 Der HERR verleihe Kraft seinem Volk,der HERR wolle segnen sein Volk mit Frieden (oder: Heil)!
