1 A Song of Ascents. Out of the depths I cry to thee, O LORD!	1 Cantique des degrés. Du fond des abîmes je crie vers Vous, Seigneur; *
2 Lord, hear my voice! Let thy ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications!	2 Seigneur, exaucez ma voix. Que Vos oreilles soient attentives * à la voix de ma supplication.
3 If thou, O LORD, shouldst mark iniquities, Lord, who could stand?	3 Si Vous examinez nos iniquités, Seigneur, * Seigneur, qui subsistera devant Vous?
4 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.	4 Mais auprès de Vous est la miséricorde, * et à cause de Votre loi j'ai espéré en Vous. * Mon âme s'est soutenue par Sa parole; *
5 I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I hope;	5 Mon âme a espéré au Seigneur.
6 my soul waits for the LORD more than watchmen for the morning, more than watchmen for the morning.	6 Depuis la veille du matin jusqu'à la nuit, * qu'Israël espère au Seigneur;
7 O Israel, hope in the LORD! For with the LORD there is steadfast love, and with him is plenteous redemption.	7 car auprès du Seigneur est la miséricorde, * et on trouve en Lui une rédemption abondante.
8 And he will redeem Israel from all his iniquities.	8 Il rachètera lui-même Israël * de toutes ses iniquités.
