Psalms 127

1 A Song of Ascents. Of Solomon. Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.	1 Cântico das peregrinações. De Salomão. Se o Senhor não edificar a casa, em vão trabalham os que a constroem. Se o Senhor não guardar a cidade, debalde vigiam as sentinelas.
2 It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for he gives to his beloved sleep.	2 Inútil levantar-vos antes da aurora, e atrasar até alta noite vosso descanso, para comer o pão de um duro trabalho, pois Deus o dá aos seus amados até durante o sono.
3 Lo, sons are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward.	3 Vede, os filhos são um dom de Deus: é uma recompensa o fruto das entranhas.
4 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the sons of one's youth.	4 Tais como as flechas nas mãos do guerreiro, assim são os filhos gerados na juventude.
5 Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.	5 Feliz o homem que assim encheu sua aljava: não será confundido quando defender a sua causa contra seus inimigos à porta da cidade.
