1 A Song of Ascents. When the LORD restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dream.	1 [Ein Wallfahrtslied.] Als der Herr das Schicksal Sions wandte, da waren wir wie Träumende.
2 Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with shouts of joy; then they said among the nations, "The LORD has done great things for them."	2 Damals war unser Mund voll des lachenden Jauchzens, unsere Zunge voll des Jubels. Damals sprach man unter den Völkern: "Der Herr hat Großes an ihnen vollbracht."
3 The LORD has done great things for us; we are glad.	3 Ja, der Herr hat Großes an uns vollbracht; wir sind wirklich froh geworden! -
4 Restore our fortunes, O LORD, like the watercourses in the Negeb!	4 Herr, wende unser Schicksal gleich dem der (vertrockneten) Bäche im Südland!
5 May those who sow in tears reap with shouts of joy!	5 Die mit Tränen säen, werden mit Jubel ernten.
6 He that goes forth weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shouts of joy, bringing his sheaves with him.	6 Es schreitet dahin und weint, wer den Saatbeutel trägt; jedoch mit Jubel kehrt heim, wer seine Garben trägt.
