Psalms 121

1 A Song of Ascents. I lift up my eyes to the hills. From whence does my help come?	1 (Salmo graduale). Mi sono rallegrato per quello che m'è stato detto: « Andremo alla casa del Signore ».
2 My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.	2 I nostri piedi si son posati nei tuoi atrii, o Gerusalemme.
3 He will not let your foot be moved, he who keeps you will not slumber.	3 Gerusalemme è edificata come una città le cui parti son tutte unite.
4 Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.	4 Là salgono le tribù, le tribù del Signore, secondo la legge d'Israele, a lodare il nome del Signore.
5 The LORD is your keeper; the LORD is your shade on your right hand.	5 Ivi sono stabiliti i seggi per i giudici, i seggi sopra la casa di David.
6 The sun shall not smite you by day, nor the moon by night.	6 Pregate per la pace di Gerusalemme. « Sian nell'abbondanza quelli che ti amano,
7 The LORD will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life.	7 Regni la pace nelle tue mura e l'abbondanza nelle tue torri ».
8 The LORD will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and for evermore.	8 Per amore dei miei fratelli e dei miei vicini ho pregato per la tua pace.
	9 Per amore della casa del Signore ho cercato il tuo bene.
