1 Then the LORD said to Moses, "Go in to Pharaoh and say to him, 'Thus says the LORD, "Let my people go, that they may serve me.	1 Az Úr azután ezt mondta Mózesnek: »Mondd Áronnak: Nyújtsd ki kezedet a botoddal a folyókra, a patakokra és a tavakra, és hozd fel a békákat Egyiptom földjére!«
2 But if you refuse to let them go, behold, I will plague all your country with frogs;	2 Kinyújtotta erre Áron a kezét Egyiptom vizeire, feljöttek a békák, és ellepték Egyiptom földjét.
3 the Nile shall swarm with frogs which shall come up into your house, and into your bedchamber and on your bed, and into the houses of your servants and of your people, and into your ovens and your kneading bowls;	3 De a varázslók is hasonlóképpen cselekedtek bűbájosságuk által, és felhozták a békákat Egyiptom földjére.
4 the frogs shall come up on you and on your people and on all your servants.'"	4 Hívatta erre a fáraó Mózest és Áront, és azt mondta nekik: »Könyörögjetek az Úrhoz, hogy vigye el rólam és népemről a békákat! Akkor elengedem a népet, hogy áldozzék az Úrnak!«
5 And the LORD said to Moses, "Say to Aaron, 'Stretch out your hand with your rod over the rivers, over the canals, and over the pools, and cause frogs to come upon the land of Egypt!'"	5 Azt mondta erre Mózes a fáraónak: »Határozd meg nekem, mikor könyörögjek érted, szolgáidért és népedért, hogy eltávozzanak a békák tőled és házadtól, és csak a folyóban maradjanak meg!«
6 So Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt; and the frogs came up and covered the land of Egypt.	6 A fáraó így felelt: »Holnap.« Erre ő azt mondta: »Szavad szerint cselekszem, és megtudod, hogy nincs hasonló az Úrhoz, a mi Istenünkhöz!
7 But the magicians did the same by their secret arts, and brought frogs upon the land of Egypt.	7 El fognak távozni a békák tőled és házadtól, szolgáidtól és népedtől, csak a folyóban maradnak meg!«
8 Then Pharaoh called Moses and Aaron, and said, "Entreat the LORD to take away the frogs from me and from my people; and I will let the people go to sacrifice to the LORD."	8 Amikor aztán Mózes és Áron kimentek a fáraótól, Mózes az Úrhoz kiáltott a békák miatt, ahogy a fáraónak megígérte.
9 Moses said to Pharaoh, "Be pleased to command me when I am to entreat, for you and for your servants and for your people, that the frogs be destroyed from you and your houses and be left only in the Nile."	9 Erre az Úr Mózes szava szerint cselekedett, és kiveszett a béka a házakból, az udvarokból és a mezőkről.
10 And he said, "Tomorrow." Moses said, "Be it as you say, that you may know that there is no one like the LORD our God.	10 Mérhetetlen rakásokba dobálták össze őket, és bűzlött tőlük az ország.
11 The frogs shall depart from you and your houses and your servants and your people; they shall be left only in the Nile."	11 Amikor azonban a fáraó látta, hogy visszatért a nyugalma, megkeményítette szívét, és nem hallgatott rájuk, ahogy az Úr előre megmondta.
12 So Moses and Aaron went out from Pharaoh; and Moses cried to the LORD concerning the frogs, as he had agreed with Pharaoh.	12 Azt mondta ekkor az Úr Mózesnek: »Szólj Áronnak: Nyújtsd ki botodat, és üss a föld porára, hogy szúnyoggá legyen az Egyiptomnak egész földjén!«
13 And the LORD did according to the word of Moses; the frogs died out of the houses and courtyards and out of the fields.	13 Úgy is tettek: Áron kinyújtotta a kezét a bottal, ráütött a föld porára, és szúnyog lett abból emberen és állaton. A föld minden pora szúnyoggá változott Egyiptom egész földjén.
14 And they gathered them together in heaps, and the land stank.	14 Ugyanígy cselekedtek a varázslók is, hogy bűbájosságukkal szúnyogot támasszanak, de nem tudtak. Szúnyog volt tehát emberen és állaton.
15 But when Pharaoh saw that there was a respite, he hardened his heart, and would not listen to them; as the LORD had said.	15 A varázslók azt mondták erre a fáraónak: »Isten ujja ez!« Ám a fáraó szíve megkeményedett, és nem hallgatott rájuk, ahogy az Úr előre megmondta.
16 Then the LORD said to Moses, "Say to Aaron, 'Stretch out your rod and strike the dust of the earth, that it may become gnats throughout all the land of Egypt.'"	16 Ekkor azt mondta az Úr Mózesnek: »Kora reggel kelj fel, állj a fáraó elé – kimegy ugyanis a vízhez –, és mondd neki: Ezt üzeni az Úr: Engedd el népemet, hogy áldozzék nekem,
17 And they did so; Aaron stretched out his hand with his rod, and struck the dust of the earth, and there came gnats on man and beast; all the dust of the earth became gnats throughout all the land of Egypt.	17 mert ha el nem engeded, íme, mindenféle legyet bocsátok rád, szolgáidra, népedre és házaidra, úgyhogy megtelik százféle léggyel az egyiptomiak háza és az egész föld, amelyen laknak.
18 The magicians tried by their secret arts to bring forth gnats, but they could not. So there were gnats on man and beast.	18 Gósen földjével azonban csodát teszek, ahol az én népem van, hogy ott ne támadjon légy, és megtudd, hogy én, az Úr itt vagyok ezen a földön!
19 And the magicians said to Pharaoh, "This is the finger of God." But Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he would not listen to them; as the LORD had said.	19 Így teszek különbséget az én népem és a te néped között. Holnap következik be ez a jel.«
20 Then the LORD said to Moses, "Rise up early in the morning and wait for Pharaoh, as he goes out to the water, and say to him, 'Thus says the LORD, "Let my people go, that they may serve me.	20 Úgy is tett az Úr: tömérdek légy lepte el a fáraó és szolgáinak házát és Egyiptom egész földjét, és ezek a legyek tönkretették az országot.
21 Else, if you will not let my people go, behold, I will send swarms of flies on you and your servants and your people, and into your houses; and the houses of the Egyptians shall be filled with swarms of flies, and also the ground on which they stand.	21 Hívatta erre a fáraó Mózest és Áront, és azt mondta nekik: »Menjetek, áldozzatok Isteneteknek, de itt, ezen a földön!«
22 But on that day I will set apart the land of Goshen, where my people dwell, so that no swarms of flies shall be there; that you may know that I am the LORD in the midst of the earth.	22 Mózes azonban azt felelte: »Azt nem lehet, mert az egyiptomiak előtt utálatos az, amit mi áldozunk az Úrnak, a mi Istenünknek. Ha azt, amit az egyiptomiak tisztelnek, levágjuk előttük, megköveznek minket.
23 Thus I will put a division between my people and your people. By tomorrow shall this sign be.'"	23 Hadd menjünk tehát háromnapi útra a pusztába, hogy ott áldozzunk az Úrnak, a mi Istenünknek, ahogy megparancsolta nekünk!«
24 And the LORD did so; there came great swarms of flies into the house of Pharaoh and into his servants' houses, and in all the land of Egypt the land was ruined by reason of the flies.	24 Azt mondta erre a fáraó: »Elengedlek titeket, hogy áldozzatok az Úrnak, a ti Isteneteknek a pusztában. De nagyon messzire ne menjetek, és könyörögjetek értem!«
25 Then Pharaoh called Moses and Aaron, and said, "Go, sacrifice to your God within the land."	25 Mózes azt felelte: »Mihelyt kimegyek tőled, imádkozni fogok az Úrhoz, és holnap eltávozik a légy a fáraótól, szolgáitól és népétől. De aztán rá ne szedj megint, hogy nem engeded el a népet, hogy áldozzék az Úrnak!«
26 But Moses said, "It would not be right to do so; for we shall sacrifice to the LORD our God offerings abominable to the Egyptians. If we sacrifice offerings abominable to the Egyptians before their eyes, will they not stone us?	26 Amikor tehát Mózes kiment a fáraótól, imádkozott az Úrhoz,
27 We must go three days' journey into the wilderness and sacrifice to the LORD our God as he will command us."	27 és az Úr az ő szava szerint cselekedett. Eltávolította a legyet a fáraóról, a szolgáiról és a népéről, egy sem maradt belőle.
28 So Pharaoh said, "I will let you go, to sacrifice to the LORD your God in the wilderness; only you shall not go very far away. Make entreaty for me."	28 Ám a fáraó szíve megkeményedett, és ezúttal sem engedte el a népet.
29 Then Moses said, "Behold, I am going out from you and I will pray to the LORD that the swarms of flies may depart from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people, tomorrow; only let not Pharaoh deal falsely again by not letting the people go to sacrifice to the LORD."
30 So Moses went out from Pharaoh and prayed to the LORD.
31 And the LORD did as Moses asked, and removed the swarms of flies from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people; not one remained.
32 But Pharaoh hardened his heart this time also, and did not let the people go.
