1 But the LORD said to Moses, "Now you shall see what I will do to Pharaoh; for with a strong hand he will send them out, yea, with a strong hand he will drive them out of his land."	1 Ma Jahvè rispose a Mosè: «Ora tu vedrai come io agirò con il Faraone. Con braccio teso egli sarà infatti costretto a lasciarli andare e con braccio teso sarà obbligato a espellerli dalla sua terra».
2 And God said to Moses, "I am the LORD.	2 Dio parlò a Mosè: «Io sono Jahvè.
3 I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty, but by my name the LORD I did not make myself known to them.	3 Ad Abramo, a Isacco e a Giacobbe io mi sono manifestato come El-Shaddai, ma da loro non mi sono fatto conoscere con il mio nome Jahvè.
4 I also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land in which they dwelt as sojourners.	4 Con loro ho pure stretto la mia alleanza, promettendo di dare loro la terra di Canaan, terra della loro peregrinazione, dove vissero come forestieri.
5 Moreover I have heard the groaning of the people of Israel whom the Egyptians hold in bondage and I have remembered my covenant.	5 Io ho anche ascoltato il gemito dei figli di Israele tenuti in schiavitù dagli Egiziani e mi sono ricordato della mia alleanza.
6 Say therefore to the people of Israel, 'I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you from their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great acts of judgment,	6 Va’, di’ ai figli di Israele: “Io sono Jahvè. Vi farò uscire dall’oppressione degli Egiziani e vi salverò dalla loro schiavitù, vi libererò con braccio teso e grandi punizioni.
7 and I will take you for my people, and I will be your God; and you shall know that I am the LORD your God, who has brought you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.	7 Vi assumerò come mio popolo e sarò il vostro Dio. Allora saprete che io sono Jahvè vostro Dio, colui che vi fa uscire all’oppressione degli Egiziani.
8 And I will bring you into the land which I swore to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; I will give it to you for a possession. I am the LORD.'"	8 Vi introdurrò nella terra che ho giurato, alzando la mano, di dare ad Abramo, a Isacco e a Giacobbe: la darò a voi in patrimonio, Io sono Jahvè”»,
9 Moses spoke thus to the people of Israel; but they did not listen to Moses, because of their broken spirit and their cruel bondage.	9 Mosè riferì tali cose ai figli di Israele, ma essi non lo ascoltarono perché non ne potevano più per la dura schiavitù.
10 And the LORD said to Moses,	10 Jahvè disse quindi a Mosè:
11 "Go in, tell Pharaoh king of Egypt to let the people of Israel go out of his land."	11 «Va’, riferisci al Faraone re d’Egitto che mandi via dalla sua terra i figli di Israele».
12 But Moses said to the LORD, "Behold, the people of Israel have not listened to me; how then shall Pharaoh listen to me, who am a man of uncircumcised lips?"	12 Ma Mosè rispose al cospetto di Jahvè: «Ecco, i figli di Israele non mi hanno ascoltato, come mi potrà ascoltare il Faraone? Io ho le labbra incirconcise».
13 But the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron, and gave them a charge to the people of Israel and to Pharaoh king of Egypt to bring the people of Israel out of the land of Egypt.	13 Jahvè parlò a Mosè e ad Aronne e ordinò loro di recarsi dal Faraone re d’Egitto affinché facesse uscire i figli di Israele dalla terra d’Egitto.
14 These are the heads of their fathers' houses: the sons of Reuben, the first-born of Israel: Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi; these are the families of Reuben.	14 Questi sono i capi delle loro casate: i figli di Ruben, primogenito di Israele, sono Meno e Pallu, Khezron è Charmi. Queste sono le famiglie di Ruben.
15 The sons of Simeon: Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zohar, and Shaul, the son of a Canaanite woman; these are the families of Simeon.	15 I figli di Simeone sono Jemuel, Jamin Ohad, Jachin, Zokhar e Saul, figlio dal Cananea. Queste sono le famiglie di Simeone.
16 These are the names of the sons of Levi according to their generations: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari, the years of the life of Levi being a hundred and thirty-seven years.	16 Questi sono i nomi dei figli di Levi con e loro discendenze: Ghershon, Kehat e Merari, Levi visse centotrentasette anni.
17 The sons of Gershon: Libni and Shime-i, by their families.	17 I figli di Ghershon sono Libni e Shimei con le loro famiglie.
18 The sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel, the years of the life of Kohath being a hundred and thirty-three years.	18 I figli di Kehat sono Amram, Jizehar, Hebron e Uzziel. Kehat visse centotrentatre anni.
19 The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites according to their generations.	19 I figli di Merari sono Makhli e Mushi. Queste sono le famiglie di Levi con le loro discendenze.
20 Amram took to wife Jochebed his father's sister and she bore him Aaron and Moses, the years of the life of Amram being one hundred and thirty-seven years.	20 Amram sposò Jochebed sua zia e questa gli generò Aronne e Mosè. Amram visse centotrentasette anni.
21 The sons of Izhar: Korah, Nepheg, and Zichri.	21 I figli di Jizehar sono Korakh, Nefeg e Zichri.
22 And the sons of Uzziel: Misha-el, Elzaphan, and Sithri.	22 I figli di Uzziel sono Mishael, Elzafan e Sitri.
23 Aaron took to wife Elisheba, the daughter of Amminadab and the sister of Nahshon; and she bore him Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.	23 Aronne sposò Elisabet figlia di Amminadab, sorella di Nakhshon, e quella gli generò Nadab e Abihu, Eleazaro e Itamar.
24 The sons of Korah: Assir, Elkanah, and Abiasaph; these are the families of the Korahites.	24 I figli di Korakh sono Assir, Elkana e Abiasaf. Queste sono le famiglie dei Korakhiti.
25 Eleazar, Aaron's son, took to wife one of the daughters of Puti-el; and she bore him Phinehas. These are the heads of the fathers' houses of the Levites by their families.	25 Eleazaro figlio di Aronne sposò una delle figlie di Putiel ed essa gli generò Pinkhas. Questi sono i capi delle case di Levi con le loro famiglie.
26 These are the Aaron and Moses to whom the LORD said: "Bring out the people of Israel from the land of Egypt by their hosts."	26 A questo Aronne e a questo Mosè Jahvè disse: «Fate uscire i figli di Israele dalla terra d’Egitto secondo le loro schiere».
27 It was they who spoke to Pharaoh king of Egypt about bringing out the people of Israel from Egypt, this Moses and this Aaron.	27 Essi parlarono al Faraone re d’Egitto per far uscire i figli di Israele dall’Egitto. Questi sono Mosè e Aronne.
28 On the day when the LORD spoke to Moses in the land of Egypt,	28 Quando Jahvè parlò a Mosè nella terra d’Egitto,
29 the LORD said to Moses, "I am the LORD; tell Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I say to you."	29 egli disse: «Io sono Jahvè. Riferisci al Faraone re d'Egitto tutto ciò che sto per dirti».
30 But Moses said to the LORD, "Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips; how then shall Pharaoh listen to me?"	30 Ma Mosè rispose al cospetto di Jahve: «Io ho le labbra incirconcise. Come mi potrà ascoltare il Faraone?»
