1 He made an altar of bronze, twenty cubits long, and twenty cubits wide, and ten cubits high.	1 Weiter ließ er einen kupfernen Altar von 20 Ellen Länge, 20 Ellen Breite und 10 Ellen Höhe herstellen. –
2 Then he made the molten sea; it was round, ten cubits from brim to brim, and five cubits high, and a line of thirty cubits measured its circumference.	2 Auch fertigte er das aus Erz gegossene Meer (= große Wasserbecken) an, das von einem Rande bis zum andern zehn Ellen maß, ringsum gerundet und fünf Ellen hoch; eine Schnur von dreißig Ellen war erforderlich, um es ganz zu umspannen.
3 Under it were figures of gourds, for thirty cubits, compassing the sea round about; the gourds were in two rows, cast with it when it was cast.	3 Unten an ihm waren Gebilde von wilden Gurken (= Koloquinten, gurkenartigen Früchten) angebracht, die es rings umgaben, je zehn auf die Elle; sie bildeten einen Kranz um das Becken, zwei Reihen Gurken, die gleich bei seinem Guß mitgegossen worden waren.
4 It stood upon twelve oxen, three facing north, three facing west, three facing south, and three facing east; the sea was set upon them, and all their hinder parts were inward.	4 Es ruhte auf zwölf Rindern, von denen drei nach Norden, drei nach Westen, drei nach Süden und drei nach Osten gewandt waren; das Becken aber lag oben auf ihnen, und die Hinterseite war bei allen Rindern nach innen gekehrt.
5 Its thickness was a handbreadth; and its brim was made like the brim of a cup, like the flower of a lily; it held over three thousand baths.	5 Die Dicke (der Wand) des Beckens betrug eine Handbreite, und sein Rand war wie ein Becherrand geformt, nach Art einer blühenden Lilie. An Inhalt faßte es dreitausend Bath (vgl. 1.Kön 7,23-26).
6 He also made ten lavers in which to wash, and set five on the south side, and five on the north side. In these they were to rinse off what was used for the burnt offering, and the sea was for the priests to wash in.	6 Er ließ auch zehn Becken (oder: Kessel) anfertigen und fünf von ihnen rechts und fünf links aufstellen, damit man Waschungen darin vornähme; man spülte in ihnen die Stücke ab, die zum Brandopfer gehörten; das große Wasserbecken dagegen diente den Priestern für ihre Waschungen. –
7 And he made ten golden lampstands as prescribed, and set them in the temple, five on the south side and five on the north.	7 Weiter ließ er die goldenen Leuchter, zehn an der Zahl, so anfertigen, wie es der für sie geltenden Vorschrift entsprach, und stellte sie in den Tempel, fünf auf die rechte und fünf auf die linke Seite. –
8 He also made ten tables, and placed them in the temple, five on the south side and five on the north. And he made a hundred basins of gold.	8 Weiter ließ er zehn Tische anfertigen und stellte sie im Tempel auf, fünf auf der rechten und fünf auf der linken Seite; auch ließ er hundert goldene Sprengschalen anfertigen. –
9 He made the court of the priests, and the great court, and doors for the court, and overlaid their doors with bronze;	9 Sodann stellte er den Vorhof der Priester und den großen Vorhof her und die Tore für den Vorhof; die dazugehörigen Torflügel überzog er mit Kupfer.
10 and he set the sea at the southeast corner of the house.	10 Das große Wasserbecken aber stellte er auf der Südseite (des Tempelhauses) nach Osten zu auf, an der Südostecke des Tempels.
11 Huram also made the pots, the shovels, and the basins. So Huram finished the work that he did for King Solomon on the house of God:	11 Weiter fertigte Huram die Töpfe, die Schaufeln und die Sprengschalen an und vollendete so die Arbeiten, die er für den König Salomo im Gotteshause herzustellen hatte,
12 the two pillars, the bowls, and the two capitals on the top of the pillars; and the two networks to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the top of the pillars;	12 nämlich die zwei Säulen mit den beiden kugelförmigen Knäufen (oder: Kapitellen) oben auf den Säulen; dazu die zwei Geflechte zur Bekleidung der beiden kugelförmigen Knäufe (oder: Kapitelle) oben auf den Säulen;
13 and the four hundred pomegranates for the two networks, two rows of pomegranates for each network, to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were upon the pillars.	13 ferner die vierhundert Granatäpfel für die beiden Flechtwerke; zwei Reihen Granatäpfel für jedes Flechtwerk [zur Bekleidung der beiden kugelförmigen Knäufe oben auf den Säulen].
14 He made the stands also, and the lavers upon the stands,	14 Auch fertigte er die (zehn) Gestühle nebst den (zehn) Kesseln auf den Gestühlen an
15 and the one sea, and the twelve oxen underneath it.	15 sowie das eine große Wasserbecken mit den zwölf Rindern unter ihm;
16 The pots, the shovels, the forks, and all the equipment for these Huram-abi made of burnished bronze for King Solomon for the house of the LORD.	16 auch die Töpfe, die Schaufeln und die Gabeln nebst allen anderen Geräten fertigte Huram-Abiw dem König Salomo für den Tempel des HERRN aus geglättetem (= poliertem) Kupfer an.
17 In the plain of the Jordan the king cast them, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zeredah.	17 In der Jordanaue hatte der König sie gießen lassen an der Furt von Adama, zwischen Sukkoth und Zereda.
18 Solomon made all these things in great quantities, so that the weight of the bronze was not ascertained.	18 Salomo ließ aber alle diese Geräte in sehr großer Anzahl herstellen; denn das Gewicht des Erzes wurde nicht festgestellt.
19 So Solomon made all the things that were in the house of God: the golden altar, the tables for the bread of the Presence,	19 Weiter ließ Salomo alle die (Gold-) Geräte anfertigen, die zum Hause Gottes gehörten, nämlich den vergoldeten Altar und die Tische, auf denen die Schaubrote lagen;
20 the lampstands and their lamps of pure gold to burn before the inner sanctuary, as prescribed;	20 weiter die Leuchter samt den zugehörigen Lampen, damit sie vorschriftsmäßig vor dem Allerheiligsten angezündet würden, aus gediegenem Golde,
21 the flowers, the lamps, and the tongs, of purest gold;	21 dazu die Blüten und die Lampen und Lichtscheren aus Gold, und zwar aus lauterem Gold;
22 the snuffers, basins, dishes for incense, and firepans, of pure gold; and the sockets of the temple, for the inner doors to the most holy place and for the doors of the nave of the temple were of gold.	22 weiter die Messer, Sprengschalen, Schüsseln und Räucherpfannen aus gediegenem Gold. Was schließlich die Türen des Tempels betrifft, so waren die inneren Türflügel am Eingang zum Allerheiligsten sowie die Flügeltüren des Tempelhauses, die in den großen Raum führten, von Gold.
