1 Then the LORD said to Noah, "Go into the ark, you and all your household, for I have seen that you are righteous before me in this generation.	1 E a lui disse il Signore: Noè, entra tu ed ogni tua cosa nell'arca; però che in verità ti vidi uomo giusto innanzi a me in questa generazione.
2 Take with you seven pairs of all clean animals, the male and his mate; and a pair of the animals that are not clean, the male and his mate;	2 E di tutti gli animali mondi togli sette e sette, maschio e femina; ma degli animali non mondi (cioè a dire tutti gli animali che non rumigano) due maschio, e due femina,
3 and seven pairs of the birds of the air also, male and female, to keep their kind alive upon the face of all the earth.	3 e de' volatili del cielo e sette sette, maschio e femina, acciò che si salvi il seme sopra la faccia di tutta la terra.
4 For in seven days I will send rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living thing that I have made I will blot out from the face of the ground."	4 Ed in verità dopo i sette dì io pioverò sopra la terra (di piovia pericolosa) XL dì e xL notti; e guasterò ogni sustanza ch' io feci sopra la terra.
5 And Noah did all that the LORD had commanded him.	5 Fece adunque Noè ogni cosa che gli comandò il Signore.
6 Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters came upon the earth.	6 Ed era di secento anni, quando le acque del diluvio cominciarono ad andare sopra la terra.
7 And Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons' wives with him went into the ark, to escape the waters of the flood.	7 Ed entroe Noè e la moglie, e li figliuoli e le mogli loro con loro, nell'arca per cagion dell' acque del diluvio.
8 Of clean animals, and of animals that are not clean, and of birds, and of everything that creeps on the ground,	8 E gli animali mondi e non mondi, e degli uccelli e di ogni cosa che si muovono sopra la terra,
9 two and two, male and female, went into the ark with Noah, as God had commanded Noah.	9 due e due venuti sono a Noè nell'arca, lo maschio e la femina, sì come avea comandato lo Signore.
10 And after seven days the waters of the flood came upon the earth.	10 E conciosia cosa ch' è così fatto, e trapassasseno sette dì, l'acque del diluvio abbondarono (cioè cominciarono) sopra la terra.
11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep burst forth, and the windows of the heavens were opened.	11 L'anno secento della vita di Noè, il mese secondo a dì XVII del mese, rotte sono ogui fonte dell' abisso grande, e le cataratte del cielo sono aperte.
12 And rain fell upon the earth forty days and forty nights.	12 E fatta è la piova sopra la terra per xL dì e notti.
13 On the very same day Noah and his sons, Shem and Ham and Japheth, and Noah's wife and the three wives of his sons with them entered the ark,	13 Nell'articolo di quello dì entroe Noè, e Sem Cam e Iafet suoi figliuoli, e moglie sua e quelle de' figliuoli suoi, con lui nell'arca.
14 they and every beast according to its kind, and all the cattle according to their kinds, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth according to its kind, and every bird according to its kind, every bird of every sort.	14 E con loro ogni animale, secondo la generazione sua, ed ogni cosa che si muove sopra la terra nella generazione sua, e tutti gli volativi del cielo secondo la generazione sua,
15 They went into the ark with Noah, two and two of all flesh in which there was the breath of life.	15 entrati sono a Noè nell'arca, due e due, d'ogni carne nella quale era spirito di vita.
16 And they that entered, male and female of all flesh, went in as God had commanded him; and the LORD shut him in.	16 E quelle entrate (cioè venute) sono a Noè nell'arca; maschio e femina d'ogni carne entroe, sì come avea a lui comandato Iddio. E serrò lui Iddio di fuori.
17 The flood continued forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bore up the ark, and it rose high above the earth.	17 E fatto è lo diluvio sopra la terra xL dì e xL notti; e moltiplicarono sì le acque, e levarono sì l'arca in alto di terra.
18 The waters prevailed and increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark floated on the face of the waters.	18 E maravigliosamente abbondarono, e riempierono ogni cosa di sopra la terra; e al postutto l'arca era portata sopra l'acque.
19 And the waters prevailed so mightily upon the earth that all the high mountains under the whole heaven were covered;	19 E l'acque soprabbondarono troppo sopra la terra; e coperti sono tutti i monti altissimi li quali sono sotto lo cielo.
20 the waters prevailed above the mountains, covering them fifteen cubits deep.	20 E XV cubiti più alta fue l'acqua, che i monti li quali avea coperti.
21 And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, birds, cattle, beasts, all swarming creatures that swarm upon the earth, and every man;	21 E consumata è ogni carne che si muovea sopra la terra, ed uccelli ed animali e bestie, e tutte le ferucole che vanno sopra la terra; e tutti gli uomini,
22 everything on the dry land in whose nostrils was the breath of life died.	22 e tutte quelle cose, nelle quali spirito di vita è sopra la terra, morti sono.
23 He blotted out every living thing that was upon the face of the ground, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the air; they were blotted out from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those that were with him in the ark.	23 E guastò ogni sustanza ch' era sopra la terra, dall'uomo insino al bestiame, così i ferucoli come gli uccelli; e rimaso è solo Noe, e chi con lui era nell'arca.
24 And the waters prevailed upon the earth a hundred and fifty days.	24 E tennero e durarono l'acque sopra la terra centocinquanta dì, (anzi che incominciassero a menomare).
