2 Signore, della tua potenza si rallegra il re, e per il tuo soccorso salutare grandemente esulta.	2 The LORD answer you in time of distress; the name of the God of Jacob defend you!
3 La brama del suo cuore gli hai largito, e il voto delle sue labbra non gli hai ricusato.	3 May God send you help from the temple, from Zion be your support.
4 Gli ti facesti incontro con benedizioni soavi, hai messo sul suo capo una corona di pietra preziosa.	4 May God remember your every offering, graciously accept your holocaust, Selah
5 Vita ti chiedeva e tu gliel'hai concessa, diuturnità di giorni per i secoli e in eterno.	5 Grant what is in your heart, fulfill your every plan.
6 Grande è la sua gloria per il tuo soccorso salutare, di gloria e magnificenza tu l'hai ammantato.	6 May we shout for joy at your victory, raise the banners in the name of our God. The LORD grant your every prayer!
7 Benedetto l'hai reso ne' secoli, lo colmi di gaudio al tuo cospetto.	7 Now I know victory is given to the anointed of the LORD. God will answer him from the holy heavens with a strong arm that brings victory.
8 Perché il re spera nel Signore, e per bontà dell'altissimo non vacillerà!	8 Some rely on chariots, others on horses, but we on the name of the LORD our God.
9 Cadan sotto la tua mano, [o re], tutti i tuoi nemici; la tua destra raggiunga tutti quei che t'odiano!	9 They collapse and fall, but we stand strong and firm.
10 Li ridurrai come in una fornace di fuoco, allorché mostrerai la tua faccia. Il Signore nel suo sdegno li sbaraglierà, e il fuoco li divorerà.	10 LORD, grant victory to the king; answer when we call upon you.
11 La loro schiatta farai scomparir dalla terrae la loro semenza di tra i figli degli uomini.
12 Poichè tramaron contro di te sciagure, macchinaron propositi, che non potranno effettuare.
13 Giacchè tu farai loro volger le spalle, [quando] con le tue frecce mirerai alla lor faccia.
14 Levati, o Signore, nella tua potenza! Canteremo e inneggeremo alle tue forti geste.
