1 In that day, Deborah and Barak, the son of Abinoam, sang out, saying:	1 Naquele dia, Débora e Barac, filho de Abinoem, cantaram, dizendo:
2 “All you of Israel who have willingly offered your lives to danger, bless the Lord!	2 ó vós (filhos) de Israel que expusestes voluntariamente as vossas vidas ao perigo, bendizei ao Senhor.
3 Listen, O kings! Pay attention, O princes! It is I, it is I, who will sing to the Lord. I will sing a psalm to the Lord, the God of Israel!	3 Ouvi, ó reis, escutai atentos, ó príncipes: Sou eu, eu sou a que cantarei ao Senhor, a que entoarei hinos ao Senhor Deus de Israel.
4 O Lord, when you departed from Seir, and you crossed through the regions of Edom, the earth and the heavens were moved, and the clouds rained down water.	4 Senhor, quando tu saiste de Seir, e passaste pelas regiões de Edom, a terra estremeceu, e os céus e as nuvens desfizeram-se em água.
5 The mountains flowed away before the face of the Lord, and Sinai, before the face of the Lord God of Israel.	5 Os montes abalaram-se à vista do Senhor, e o Sinai diante da face do Senhor Deus de Israel.
6 In the days of Shamgar, the son of Anath, in the days of Jael, the paths were quiet. And whoever entered by them, walked along rough byways.	6 Nos dias de Samgar, filho de Anat, nos dias de Jael, estavam desertos os caminhos, e aqueles que os percorriam, caminhavam por atalhos tortuosos.
7 The strong men ceased, and they rested in Israel, until Deborah rose up, until a mother rose up in Israel.	7 Cessaram os valentes em Israel, e desapareceram até que se levantou Débora, ato que ela se levantou mãe em Israel.

11 Where the chariots were struck together, and the army of the enemies was choked, in that place, let the justices of the Lord be described, and let his clemency be for the brave of Israel. Then did the people of the Lord descend to the gates, and obtain leadership.	11 Aí onde foram quebrados os carros e se desbaratou o exército dos inimigos, (aí) sejam contadas as justiças do Senhor e a sua clemência para com os valentes de Israel; então o povo do Senhor desceu às portas, e alcançou o principado.
12 Rise up, rise up, O Deborah! Rise up, rise up, and speak a canticle! Rise up, Barak, and seize your captives, O son of Abinoam.	12 Levanta-te, levanta-te, ó Débora, levanta-te, levanta-te, e entoa um cântico; levanta-te, Barac, e toma os teus prisioneiros, ó filho de Abinoem.
13 The remnants of the people were saved. The Lord contended with the strong.	13 Salvaram-se as relíquias do povo, o Senhor combateu entre os valentes.
14 Out of Ephraim, he destroyed those with Amalek, and after him, out of Benjamin, those of your people, O Amalek. From Machir, there descended leaders, and from Zebulun, those who led the army to war.	14 Utilizou Efraim, para exterminar (os Cananeus) em Amalec, e serviu-se também de Benjamim contra os teus povos, ó Amalec: de Maquir desceram os príncipes, e de Zabulon os que comandaram o exército para combater.
15 The commanders of Issachar were with Deborah, and they followed the steps of Barak, who endangered himself, like one rushing headlong into a chasm. Reuben was divided against himself. Contention was found among great souls.	15 Os capitães de Issacar foram com Débora, e seguiram as pisadas de Barac, o qual se lançou no perigo, como se fosse precipitado num abismo. Dividido Ruben contra si mesmo, levantou-se discórdia entre os seus homens de valor.
16 Why do you live between two borders, so that you hear the bleating of the flocks? Reuben was divided against himself. 21 The torrent of Kishon dragged away their carcasses, the onrushing torrent, the torrent of Kishon. O my soul, tread upon the stalwart!	21 A torrente de Cison arrastou os seus cadáveres, a torrente de Cadumim, a torrente de Cison. Calca, ó minha alma, estes valentes!

23 ‘Cursed be the land of Meroz!’ said the Angel of the Lord. ‘Cursed be its inhabitants! For they did not come to the aid of the Lord, to the assistance of his most valiant men.’	23 Amaldiçoai a terra de Meroz, disse o anjo do Senhor; amaldiçoai os seus habitantes, porque não acudiram em auxílio (do povo) do Senhor, em auxílio dos seus valentes guerreiros.
24 Blessed among women is Jael, the wife of Heber the Kenite. And blessed is she in her tabernacle.	24 Bendita seja entre as mulheres Jael, esposa de Haber Cineu, bendita seja na sua tenda.
25 He begged her for water, and she gave him milk, and she offered him butter in a dish fit for princes.	25 Ela deu leite ao que lhe pedia água, e numa taça de príncipes ofereceu-lhe a nata.
26 She put her left hand to the nail, and her right hand to the workman’s mallet. And she struck Sisera, seeking in his head a place for the wound, and strongly piercing his temples.	26 Estendeu a mão esquerda a um prego, e a direita a um martelo de operário, e, buscando na cabeça lugar para a ferida, deu o golpe em Sisara, trespassando-lhe com força as fontes.
27 Between her feet, he was ruined. He fainted away and passed on. He curled up before her feet, and he lay there lifeless and miserable.	27 Caiu a seus pés, desfaleceu e expirou; contorceu-se a seu pés, e ficou estendido por terra exânime e miserável.
28 His mother gazed through a window and wailed. And she spoke from an upper room: ‘Why does his chariot delay in returning? Why are the feet of his team of horses so slow?’	28 A mãe de Sisara, olhando pela janela, gritava, e do seu quarto dizia: Por que tarda em voltar o seu carro? Por que são tão pesados os pés dos seus quatro cavalos?
29 One who was wiser than the rest of his wives responded to her mother-in-law with this:	29 Mas uma de suas mulheres mais discreta do que as outras, respondeu à sogra estas palavras:
30 ‘Perhaps he is now dividing the spoils, and the most beautiful among the women is being selected for him. Garments of diverse colors are being delivered to Sisera as spoils, and various goods are being collected for the adornment of necks.’	30 Talvez que a esta hora reparta os despojos, e escolha para si a mais formosa das cativas; vestidos de várias cores são dados dos despojos a Sisara, e várias jóias se lhe destinam para adorno do seu pescoço.
31 O Lord, so may all your enemies perish! But may those who love you shine with splendor, as the sun shines at its rising.”	31 Assim pereçam, Senhor, todos os tens inimigos; os que porém te amam, brilhem como o sol quando nasce.
32 And the land rested for forty years.	32 E (depois disto) esteve o país em paz durante quarenta anos.
