1 And so, brothers, I was not able to speak to you as if to those who are spiritual, but rather as if to those who are carnal. For you are like infants in Christ.	1 Yo, hermanos, no pude hablaros como a espirituales, sino como a carnales, como a niños en Cristo.
2 I gave you milk to drink, not solid food. For you were not yet able. And indeed, even now, you are not able; for you are still carnal.	2 Os di a beber leche y no alimento sólido, pues todavía no lo podíais soportar. Ni aun lo soportáis al presente;
3 And since there is still envy and contention among you, are you not carnal, and are you not walking according to man?	3 pues todavía sois carnales. Porque, mientras haya entre vosotros envidia y discordia ¿no es verdad que sois carnales y vivís a lo humano?
4 For if one says, “Certainly, I am of Paul,” while another says, “I am of Apollo,” are you not men? But what is Apollo, and what is Paul?	4 Cuando dice uno «Yo soy de Pablo», y otro «Yo soy de Apolo», ¿no procedéis al modo humano?
5 We are only the ministers of him in whom you have believed, just as the Lord has granted to each of you.	5 ¿Qué es, pues Apolo? ¿Qué es Pablo?... ¡Servidores, por medio de los cuales habéis creído!, y cada uno según lo que el Señor le dio.
6 I planted, Apollo watered, but God provided the growth.	6 Yo planté, Apolo regó; mas fue Dios quien dio el crecimiento.
7 And so, neither he who plants, nor he who waters, is anything, but only God, who provides the growth.	7 De modo que ni el que planta es algo, ni el que riega, sino Dios que hace crecer.
8 Now he who plants, and he who waters, are one. But each shall receive his proper reward, according to his labors.	8 Y el que planta y el que riega son una misma cosa; si bien cada cual recibirá el salario según su propio trabajo,
9 For we are God’s assistants. You are God’s cultivation; you are God’s construction.	9 ya que somos colaboradores de Dios y vosotros, campo de Dios, edificación de Dios.
10 According to the grace of God, which has been given to me, I have laid the foundation like a wise architect. But another builds upon it. So then, let each one be careful how he builds upon it.	10 Conforme a la gracia de Dios que me fue dada, yo, como buen arquitecto, puse el cimiento, y otro construye encima. ¡Mire cada cual cómo construye!
11 For no one is able to lay any other foundation, in place of that which has been laid, which is Christ Jesus.	11 Pues nadie puede poner otro cimiento que el ya puesto, Jesucristo.
12 But if anyone builds upon this foundation, whether gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or stubble,	12 Y si uno construye sobre este cimiento con oro, plata, piedras preciosas, madera, heno, paja,
13 each one’s work shall be made manifest. For the day of the Lord shall declare it, because it will be revealed by fire. And this fire will test each one’s work, as to what kind it is.	13 la obra de cada cual quedará al descubierto; la manifestará el Día, que ha de revelarse por el fuego. Y la calidad de la obra de cada cual, la probará el fuego.
14 If anyone’s work, which he has built upon it, remains, then he will receive a reward.	14 Aquél, cuya obra, construida sobre el cimiento, resista, recibirá la recompensa.
15 If anyone’s work is burned up, he will suffer its loss, but he himself will still be saved, but only as through fire.	15 Mas aquél, cuya obra quede abrasada, sufrirá el daño. El, no obstante, quedará a salvo, pero como quien pasa a través del fuego.
16 Do you not know that you are the Temple of God, and that the Spirit of God lives within you?	16 ¿No sabéis que sois santuario de Dios y que el Espíritu de Dios habita en vosotros?
17 But if anyone violates the Temple of God, God will destroy him. For the Temple of God is holy, and you are that Temple.	17 Si alguno destruye el santuario de Dios, Dios le destruirá a él; porque el santuario de Dios es sagrado, y vosotros sois ese santuario.
18 Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become foolish, so that he may be truly wise.	18 ¡Nadie se engañe! Si alguno entre vosotros se cree sabio según este mundo, hágase necio, para llegar a ser sabio;
19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. And so it has been written: “I will catch the wise in their own astuteness.”	19 pues la sabiduría de este mundo es necedad a los ojos de Dios. En efecto, dice la Escritura: El que prende a los sabios en su propia astucia.
20 And again: “The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.”	20 Y también: El Señor conoce cuán vanos son los pensamientos de los sabios.
21 And so, let no one glory in men.	21 Así que, no se gloríe nadie en los hombres, pues todo es vuestro:
22 For all is yours: whether Paul, or Apollo, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or the present, or the future. Yes, all is yours.	22 ya sea Pablo, Apolo, Cefas, el mundo, la vida, la muerte, el presente, el futuro, todo es vuestro;
23 But you are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s.	23 y vosotros, de Cristo y Cristo de Dios.
