1 These are the lodging places of the sons of Israel, who departed from Egypt by their companies under the hand of Moses and Aaron,	1 ܘܗܠܝܢ ܡܫܩ̈ܠܢܐ ܕܒܢ̈ܝ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ. ܕܢܦܩܘ ܡܢ ܐܪܥܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ ܠܚܝ̈ܠܘܬܗܘܢ ܒܐܝܕܐ ܕܡܘܫܐ ܘܕܐܗܪܘܢ.
2 which Moses wrote down according to the places of the encampments, which they changed upon the order of the Lord.	2 ܘܟܬܒ ܡܘܫܐ ܡܦܩ̈ܢܝܗܘܢ ܘܡܫܩ̈ܠܢܝܗܘܢ ܒܡܠܬ ܦܘܡܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ. ܘܗܠܝܢ ܡܫܩ̈ܠܢܝܗܘܢ ܘܡܦܩ̈ܢܝܗܘܢ.
3 Thus the sons of Israel set out from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month, on the day after the Passover, with an exalted hand, being seen by all the Egyptians.	3 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܪܥܡܣܝܣ ܒܚܡܫܥܣܪܐ ܒܝܪܚܐ ܩܕܡܝܐ. ܡܢ ܒܬܪ ܦܨܚܐ ܢܦܩܘ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܡܢ ܡܨܪܝܢ . ܒܐܝܕܐ ܪܡܬܐ . ܠܥܝܢ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܡܨܪܝܐ.
4 And these were burying their firstborn, whom the Lord had struck down (for so, too, did he carry out retribution against their gods).	4 ܘܡܨܪ̈ܝܐ ܩ̇ܒܪܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܠܒܘܟܪ̈ܐ ܕܩܛܠ ܒܗܘܢ ܡܪܝܐ. ܘܒܐ̈ܠܗܝܗܘܢ ܥܒܕ ܡܪܝܐ ܕܝܢܐ.
5 And they made camp at Soccoth.	5 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܡܢ ܪܥܡܣܝܣ. ܘܫܪܘ ܒܣܟܘܬ.
6 And from Soccoth they went to Etham, which is at the furthest limits of the wilderness.	6 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܣܟܘܬ. ܘܫܪܘ ܒܐܬܡ ܕܒܣ̈ܘܦܝ ܡܕܒܪܐ.
7 Departing from there, they arrived opposite Pi-hahiroth, which looks out toward Baal-zephon, and they were encamped before Migdol.	7 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܐܬܡ. ܘܫܪܘ ܥܠ ܦܘܡ ܚܐܪܝܬܐ ܕܩܕܡ ܒܥܠܨܦܘܢ. ܘܫܪܘ ܩܕܡ ܡܓܕܘܠ.
8 And setting out from Pi-hahiroth, they crossed through the middle of the Sea into the wilderness. And having walked for three days through the desert of Etham, they made camp at Marah.	8 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܦܘܡ ܚܐܪܝܬܐ. ܘܐܙܠܘ ܒܓܘ ܝܡܐ ܠܡܕܒܪܐ . ܘܐܙܠܘ ܡܪܕܐ ܬܠܬܐ ܝܘܡ̈ܝܢ ܒܡܕܒܪܐ ܕܐܬܡ. ܘܫܪܘ ܒܡܘܪܬ.
9 And setting out from Marah, they arrived at Elim, where there were twelve fountains of water and seventy palm trees. And they set up camp there.	9 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܡܘܪܬ. ܘܐܬܘ ܠܐܠܝܡ. ܘܒܐܠܝܡ ܐܝܬ ܗ̈ܘܝ ܬܪ̈ܬܥܣܪܐ ܥܝ̈ܢܬܐ ܕܡ̈ܝܐ ܘܫܒܥܝܢ ܕܩ̈ܠܝܢ. ܘܫܪܘ ܬܡܢ ܥܠ ܡ̈ܝܐ .
10 But departing from there also, they fixed their tents above the Red Sea. And setting out from the Red Sea,	10 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܐܠܝܡ. ܘܫܪܘ ܥܠ ܝܕ ܝܡܐ ܕܣܘܦ.
11 they were encamped in the desert of Sin.	11 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܝܕ ܝܡܐ ܕܣܘܦ . ܘܫܪܘ ܒܡܕܒܪܐ ܕܣܝܢ.
12 Departing from there, they went to Dophkah.	12 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܡܕܒܪܐ ܕܣܝܢ. ܘܫܪܘ ܒܪܦܩܐ.
13 And setting out from Dophkah, they made camp at Alush.	13 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܪܦܩܐ. ܘܫܪܘ ܒܐܠܘܫ.
14 And departing from Alush, they fixed their tents at Rephidim, where the people lacked water to drink.	14 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܐܠܘܫ. ܘܫܪܘ ܒܪܦܝܕܝܢ. ܘܠܝܬ ܗܘܘ ܬܡܢ ܡ̈ܝܐ ܠܥܡܐ ܕܢܫܬܘܢ.
15 And setting out from Rephidim, they camped in the desert of Sinai.	15 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܪܦܝܕܝܢ. ܘܫܪܘ ܒܡܕܒܪܐ ܕܣܝܢܝ.
16 But departing also from the wilderness of the Sinai, they arrived at the Graves of Lust.	16 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܡܕܒܪܐ ܕܣܝܢܝ. ܘܫܪܘ ܒܩܒܪ̈ܐ ܕܪ̈ܓܝ ܪܓܬܐ.
17 And setting out from the Graves of Lust, they were encamped at Hazeroth.	17 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܩܒܪ̈ܐ ܕܪ̈ܓܝ ܪܓܬܐ. ܘܫܪܘ ܒܚܨܪܘܬ.
18 And from Hazeroth, they went to Rithmah.	18 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܚܨܪܘܬ. ܘܫܪܘ ܒܪܬܡܐ.
19 And setting out from Rithmah, they made camp at Rimmon-perez.	19 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܪܬܡܐ. ܘܫܪܘ ܒܪܡܘܢ ܦܪܨ.
20 And departing from there, they arrived at Libnah.	20 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܪܡܘܢ ܦܪܨ. ܘܫܪܘ ܒܠܒܢܐ.
21 From Libnah, they made camp at Rissah.	21 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܠܒܢܐ. ܘܫܪܘ ܒܪܣܐ.
22 And departing from Rissah, they went to Kehelathah.	22 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܪܣܐ. ܘܫܪܘ ܒܩܗܠܬ.
23 Setting out from there, they were encamped at mount Shepher.	23 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܩܗܠܬ. ܘܫܪܘ ܒܛܘܪܐ ܕܫܦܪ.
24 Departing from mount Shepher, they went to Haradah.	24 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܛܘܪܐ ܕܫܦܪ. ܘܫܪܘ ܒܚܕܕܐ .
25 Continuing on from there, they made camp at Makheloth.	25 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܚܕܕܐ . ܘܫܪܘ ܒܡܩܗܠܘܬ.
26 And setting out from Makheloth, they went to Tahath.	26 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܡܩܗܠܘܬ. ܘܫܪܘ ܒܬܚܬ.
27 From Tahath, they made camp at Terah.	27 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܬܚܬ. ܘܫܪܘ ܒܬܪܚ.
28 Departing from there, they pitched their tents at Mithkah.	28 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܬܪܚ. ܘܫܪܘ ܒܡܬܩܐ.
29 And from Mithkah, they were encamped at Hashmonah.	29 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܡܬܩܐ. ܘܫܪܘ ܒܚܫܡܘܢܐ.
30 And setting out from Hashmonah, they went to Moseroth.	30 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܚܫܡܘܢܐ. ܘܫܪܘ ܒܡܣܪܘܬ.
31 And from Moseroth, they made camp at Bene-jaakan.	31 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܡܣܪܘܬ. ܘܫܪܘ ܒܒܢ̈ܝ ܝܥܩܢ.
32 And setting out from Bene-jaakan, they went to mount Gidgad.	32 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܝܥܩܢ. ܘܫܪܘ ܒܚܕܓܕܓܕ .
33 Setting out from there, they were encamped at Jotbathah.	33 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܚܕܓܕܓܕ . ܘܫܪܘ ܒܝܛܒܬ.
34 And from Jotbathah, they went to Abronah.	34 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܝܛܒܬ. ܘܫܪܘ ܒܥܟܪܘܢܐ.
35 And departing from Abronah, they made camp at Eziongeber.	35 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܥܟܪܘܢܐ. ܘܫܪܘ ܒܥܨܝܢܘܓܒܪ.
36 Setting out from there, they went into the desert of Sin, which is Kadesh.	36 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܥܨܝܢܘܓܒܪ. ܘܫܪܘ ܒܡܕܒܪܐ ܕܨܝܢ ܕܗܝ ܗܝ ܩܕܫ.
37 And departing from Kadesh, they encamped at mount Hor, at the furthermost limits of the land of Edom.	37 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܩܕܫ. ܘܫܪܘ ܒܗܘܪ ܛܘܪܐ ܕܒܣ̈ܘܦܝ ܐܪܥܐ ܕܐܕܘܡ.
38 And Aaron the priest ascended onto mount Hor, by the order of the Lord. And there he died, in the fortieth year of the departure of the sons of Israel from Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first day of the month,	38 ܘܣܠܩ ܐܗܪܘܢ ܟܗܢܐ ܠܗܘܪ ܛܘܪܐ ܒܡܠܬ ܦܘܡܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ. ܘܡܝܬ ܬܡܢ. ܒܫܢܬ ܐܪ̈ܒܥܝܢ ܕܢܦܩܘ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܡܢ ܐܪܥܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ . ܒܝܪܚܐ ܩܕܡܝܐ ܒܚܕ ܒܝܪܚܐ.
39 when he was one hundred twenty-three years old.	39 ܘܐܗܪܘܢ ܒܪ ܡܐܐ ܗܘܐ ܘܥܣܪ̈ܝܢ ܘܬܠܬ ܫ̈ܢܝܢ. ܟܕ ܡܝܬ ܒܗܘܪ ܛܘܪܐ.
40 And king Arad the Canaanite, who lived toward the south, heard that the sons of Israel had arrived in the land of Canaan.	40 ܘܫܡܥ ܟܢܥܢܝܐ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܓܕܪ ܕܥ̇ܡܪ ܒܬܝܡܢܐ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܕܟܢܥܢ. ܟܕ ܐܬܘ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ.
41 And setting out from mount Hor, they made camp at Zalmonah.	41 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܗܘܪ ܛܘܪܐ. ܘܫܪܘ ܒܨܠܡܘܢܐ.
42 Departing from there, they went to Punon.	42 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܨܠܡܘܢܐ. ܘܫܪܘ ܒܦܝܢܘܢ.
43 And setting out from Punon, they were encamped at Oboth.	43 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܦܝܢܘܢ. ܘܫܪܘ ܒܐܒܘܬ.
44 And from Oboth, they went to Iye-abarim, which is at the borders of the Moabites.	44 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܐܒܘܬ. ܘܫܪܘ ܒܥܝܢܐ ܕܥܒܪ̈ܝܐ ܒܬܚܘܡܐ ܕܡܘܐܒ .
45 And setting out from Iye-abarim, they fixed their tents at Dibon-gad.	45 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܥܝܢܐ ܕܥܒܪ̈ܝܐ. ܘܫܪܘ ܒܪܝܒܘܢ ܓܕ.
46 Departing from there, they made camp at Almon-diblathaim.	46 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܪܝܒܘܢ ܓܕ. ܘܫܪܘ ܒܥܠܡܘܢ ܕܒܠܬܝܡ .
47 And departing from Almon-diblathaim, they went to the mountains of Abarim, opposite Nebo.	47 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܒܥܠܡܘܢ ܕܒܠܬܝܡ. ܘܫܪܘ ܒܛܘܪܐ ܕܥܒܪ̈ܝܐ ܕܩܕܡ ܢܒܘ.
48 And setting out from the mountains of Abarim, they crossed over to the plains of Moab, above the Jordan, opposite Jericho.	48 ܘܫܩܠܘ ܡܢ ܛܘܪܐ ܕܥܒܪ̈ܝܐ ܘܫܪܘ ܒܥܪܒܘܬ ܡܘܐܒ. ܕܥܠ ܝܘܪܕܢܢ ܕܐܝܪܝܚܘ.
49 And they made camp there, from Beth-jeshimoth all the way to Abel-shittim, in the level places of the Moabites,	49 ܘܫܪܘ ܥܠ ܝܘܪܕܢܢ ܡܢ ܒܝܬ ܐܫܝܡܘܢ. ܘܥܕܡܐ ܠܐܒܠ ܕܣܛܝܡ ܕܒܥܪܒܘܬ ܡܘܐܒ.
50 where the Lord said to Moses:	50 ܘܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܠܡܘܫܐ . ܒܥܪܒܘܬ ܡܘܐܒ ܕܥܠ ܝܘܪܕܢܢ ܕܐܝܪܝܚܘ.
51 “Instruct the sons of Israel, and say to them: When you will have crossed over the Jordan, entering into the land of Canaan,	51 ܡܠܠ ܥܡ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ. ܐܢܬܘܢ ܥ̇ܒܪܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܝܘܪܕܢܢ ܠܐܪܥܐ ܕܟܢܥܢ.
52 destroy all the inhabitants of that land. Break their monuments, and shatter their statues, and lay waste to every exalted thing,	52 ܘܬܘܒܕܘܢ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܥܡܘܪ̈ܝܗ̇ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܡܢ ܩܕܡܝܟܘܢ. ܘܬܘܒܕܘܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܣ̈ܓܕܬܗܘܢ. ܘܟܠܗܘܢ ܨ̈ܠܡܐ ܕܢܣܟܬܗܘܢ ܬܘܒܕܘܢ . ܘܟܠܗܝܢ ܥ̈ܠܘܬܗܘܢ ܬܥܩܪܘܢ.
53 cleansing the land and living in it. For I have given it you as a possession,	53 ܘܬܐܪܬܘܢܗ̇ ܠܐܪܥܐ ܘܬܬܒܘܢ ܒܗ̇. ܡܛܠ ܕܠܟܘܢ ܝܗ̇ܒܬܗ̇ ܐܪܥܐ ܠܡܐܪܬܗ̇.
54 which you shall divide among you by lot. To the greater number you shall give more, and to the lesser number, less. To each one, just as the lot shall fall, so shall the inheritance be distributed. The possession shall be divided by the tribes and families.	54 ܘܝܪܬܘ ܐܪܥܐ ܒܦܨ̈ܐ ܕܫܪ̈ܒܬܟܘܢ. ܠܣܓ̈ܝܐܐ ܬܣܓܘܢ ܝܪܬܘܬܐ. ܘܠܙܥܘܪ̈ܐ ܬܙܥܪܘܢ ܝܪܬܘܬܐ. ܡ̇ܢ ܕܣ̇ܠܩܐ ܠܗ ܦܨܬܐ ܠܫ̈ܒܛܐ ܕܐ̈ܒܗܝܗܘܢ ܢܐܪܬܘܢ.
55 But if you are not willing to put to death the inhabitants of the land, those who remain shall be to you like spikes in your eyes and lances in your sides, and they shall be adversaries to you in the land of your habitation.	55 ܘܐܢ ܠܐ ܬܘܒܕܘܢ ܠܥܡܘܪ̈ܐ ܕܐܪܥܐ. ܡܢ ܩܕܡܝܟܘܢ ܗ̇ܢܘܢ ܕܡܫܬܚܪܝܢ ܡܢܗܘܢ. ܢܗܘܘܢ ܣ̈ܟܐ ܒ̈ܥܝܢܝܟܘܢ. ܘܠܘܠܝ̈ܬܐ ܒܨ̈ܕܥܝܟܘܢ. ܘܢܥܝܩܘܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܕܥ̇ܡܪܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܒܗ̇.
56 And whatever I had decided to do to them, I will do to you.”	56 ܘܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܐܬܚܫܒܬ ܕܐܥܒܕ ܠܗܘܢ ܐܥܒܕ ܠܟܘܢ.
