Hosea 12

1 Ephraim feeds on wind and follows burning heat; all day long he multiplies lies and desolation. And he has entered into a pact with the Assyrians, and he has carried oil into Egypt.	1 Efraím me ha rodeado de mentira, de engaño la casa de Israel. (Pero Judá todavía está con Dios, y sigue fiel al Santo.)
2 Therefore, the judgment of the Lord is with Judah and a visitation is upon Jacob. He will repay him according to his ways and according to his inventions.	2 Efraím se apacienta de viento, anda tras el solano todo el día; mentira y pillaje multiplica, hacen alianza con Asiria y llevan aceite a Egipto.
3 In the womb, he supplanted his brother; for in his good fortune, he had been guided by an angel.	3 Yahveh tiene pleito con Judá, va a visitar a Jacob, según su conducta, según sus obras le devolverá.
4 And he prevailed over an angel, for he had been strengthened. He wept and petitioned him. He found him in Bethel, and there he has spoken to us.	4 En el seno materno suplantó a su hermano, y de mayor luchó con Dios.
5 And the Lord God of hosts, the Lord is his memorial.	5 Luchó con el ángel y le pudo, lloró y le imploró gracia. En Betel le encontró y allí habló con nosotros.
6 And so, you should convert to your God. Keep mercy and judgment, and have hope in your God always.	6 Sí, Yahveh Dios Sebaot, Yahveh es su renombre.
7 Canaan, in his hand is a deceitful balance, he has chosen false accusations.	7 Y tú volverás, gracias a tu Dios: observa amor y derecho, y espera en tu Dios siempre.
8 And Ephraim has said, “Nevertheless, I have become rich; I have found an idol for myself. All of my labors will not reveal to me the iniquity that I have committed.”	8 Canaán tiene en su mano balanzas tramposas, es amigo de explotar.
9 And I, the Lord your God from the land of Egypt, nevertheless will cause you to dwell in tabernacles, just as during the days of the feast.	9 Y Efraím dice: «Sí, me he enriquecido, me ha fraguado una fortuna». ¡Ninguna de sus ganancias se hallará, por el pecado de que se ha hecho culpable!
10 And I have spoken through the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and I have used parables through the hands of the prophets.	10 Yo soy Yahveh, tu Dios, desde el país de Egipto: aún te haré morar en tiendas como en los días del Encuentro;
11 If Gilead is an idol, then they have been sacrificing cattle in Gilgal to no purpose. For even their altars are like clutter on the soil of the field.	11 hablaré a los profetas, multiplicaré las visiones, y por medio de los profetas hablaré en parábolas.
12 Jacob fled into the region of Syria, and Israel served like a wife, and was served by a wife.	12 Si Galaad es iniquidad, ellos no son más que mentira. En Guilgal sacrifican toros; por eso sus altares serán como escombros sobre los surcos de los campos.
13 Yet by a prophet the Lord led Israel out of Egypt, and he was served by a prophet.	13 Huyó Jacob a la campiña de Aram, sirvió Israel por una mujer, por una mujer guardó rebaños.
14 Ephraim has provoked me to wrath with his bitterness, and his blood will overcome him, and his Lord will requite him for his shamefulness.	14 Por un profeta subió Yahveh a Israel de Egipto, y por un profeta fue guardado.
	15 Efraím le ha irritado amargamente: él dejará su sangre sobre él, su Señor le pagará su agravio.
