Leviticus 6

1 The Lord spoke to Moses, saying:	1 Le Seigneur parla à Moïse, et lui dit:
2 The soul who will have sinned, and, despising the Lord, will have denied to his neighbor the deposit which he had entrusted to his safekeeping, or who will have extorted anything by force, or who will have made a false accusation,	2 L'homme qui aura péché en méprisant le Seigneur et en refusant à son prochain ce qui avait été commis à sa bonne foi, ou qui aura par violence ravi quelque chose, ou qui l'aura usurpé par fraude ou par tromperie;
3 or who will have found a lost thing and then also withheld it by swearing falsely, or who will have done any other of the many things by which men usually sin:	3 Ou qui, ayant trouvé une chose qui était perdue, le nie et y ajoute encore un faux serment; ou qui aura fait quelqu'autre faute de toutes celles de cette nature que les hommes ont coutume de commettre;
4 being convicted of the offense, he shall restore	4 Etant convaincu de son péché, il rendra
5 all that he wanted to obtain by fraud, the whole plus an additional fifth part, to the owner against whom he brought the damage.	5 En son entier tout ce qu'il a voulu usurper injustement. Il donnera de plus une cinquième partie à celui qui en était le possesseur, et à qui il avait voulu faire tort;
6 Then, on behalf of his sin, he shall offer an immaculate ram from the flock, and he shall give it to the priest, according to the estimation and measure of the offense.	6 Et il offrira pour son péché un bélier sans tache pris dans le troupeau, qu'il donnera au prêtre, selon l'estimation et la qualité de la faute.
7 And he shall pray for him in the sight of the Lord, and he shall be released from any one of those things that he did when he sinned.	7 Le prêtre priera pour lui devant le Seigneur, et tout le mal qu'il a fait en péchant lui sera pardonné.
8 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:	8 Le Seigneur parla encore à Moïse, et lui dit:
9 Instruct Aaron and his sons: This is the law of a holocaust. It shall be burned upon the altar, all night until morning. The fire shall be from the same altar.	9 Ordonnez ceci à Aaron et à ses fils: Voici quelle est la loi de l'holocauste: il brûlera sur l'autel toute la nuit jusqu'au matin: le feu sera pris de l'autel même.
10 The priest shall be vested with the tunic and the linen undergarments. And he shall take up the ashes of that which the devouring fire has consumed, and, placing them next to the altar,	10 Le prêtre, étant vêtu de sa tunique par-dessus le vêtement de lin qui lui couvre les reins, prendra les cendres qui resteront après que le feu aura tout consumé, et, les mettant près de l'autel,
11 he shall strip off his former vestments, and being clothed with others, he shall carry them beyond the camp, and he shall cause them to be consumed, even to glowing embers, in a very clean place.	11 Il quittera ses premiers vêtements, en prendra d'autres, portera les cendres hors du camp, et achèvera de les faire entièrement consumer dans un lieu très pur.
12 But the fire on the altar shall burn always, for the priest shall nourish it by placing wood under it each day in the morning. And, laying down the holocaust, he shall burn the fat of the peace offerings upon it.	12 Le feu brûlera toujours sur l'autel, et le prêtre aura soin de l'entretenir, en y mettant, le matin de chaque jour, du bois sur lequel il placera l'holocauste, et fera brûler la graisse des hosties pacifiques.
13 This is the perpetual fire which shall never fail upon the altar.	13 C'est là le feu qui brûlera toujours sur l'autel, sans qu'on le laisse jamais éteindre.
14 This is the law of the sacrifice and the libations, which the sons of Aaron shall offer in the sight of the Lord, and before the altar.	14 Voici la loi du sacrifice et des offrandes de fleur de farine, que les fils d'Aaron offriront devant le Seigneur et devant l'autel:
15 The priest shall take a handful of fine wheat flour, which has been sprinkled with oil, and all the frankincense, which has been placed upon the flour, and he shall burn it upon the altar as a memorial of most sweet odor to the Lord.	15 Le prêtre prendra une poignée de la plus pure farine mêlée avec l'huile, et tout l'encens qu'on aura mis dessus, et les fera brûler sur l'autel, comme un monument d'une odeur très agréable au Seigneur.
16 And the remaining portion of the flour, Aaron shall eat with his sons, without leaven. And he shall eat it in the holy place, in the atrium of the tabernacle.	16 Et pour ce qui reste de la pure farine, Aaron la mangera sans levain avec ses fils; et il la mangera dans le lieu saint, dans la parvis du tabernacle.
17 Yet for this reason, it shall not be leavened, because part of it is offered as an incense of the Lord. The Holy of holies shall it be, just as what is offered on behalf of sin and of transgression.	17 On ne mettra point de levain dans cette farine, parce qu'on en prend une partie qu'on offre comme un encens au Seigneur. Ce sera donc une chose très sainte, comme ce qui s'offre pour le péché et pour le délit;
18 Only the males of the stock of Aaron shall eat it. This shall be an everlasting ordinance in your generations concerning the sacrifices of the Lord. All who will touch these shall be sanctified.	18 Et il n'y aura que les mâles de la race d'Aaron qui en mangeront. Ce sera là une loi éternelle touchant les sacrifices du Seigneur, qui passera parmi vous de race en race: que tous ceux qui toucheront à ces choses soient saints et purs.
19 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:	19 Le Seigneur parla encore à Moïse, et lui dit:
20 This is the oblation of Aaron and of his sons, which they must offer to the Lord in the day of their anointing. They shall offer a tenth part of an ephah of fine wheat flour as a perpetual sacrifice, half of it in the morning, and half of it in the evening.	20 Voici l'oblation d'Aaron et de ses fils qu'ils doivent offrir au Seigneur le jour de leur onction: Ils offriront en sacrifice perpétuel la dixième partie d'un éphi de fleur de farine, la moitié le matin, et l'autre moitié le soir.
21 It shall be sprinkled with oil and fried in a frying pan. Then it shall be offered hot, as a most sweet odor to the Lord,	21 Elle sera mêlée avec de l'huile, et se cuira dans la poêle. Le pontife qui aura succédé légitimement à son père l'offrira toute chaude pour être d'une odeur très agréable au Seigneur,
22 by the priest who by law succeeds his father. And it shall be entirely burned on the altar.	22 Et elle brûlera tout entière sur l'autel.
23 For every sacrifice of the priest shall be consumed by fire; neither shall anyone eat from it.	23 Car tous les sacrifices des prêtres seront consumés par le feu, et personne n'en mangera.
24 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:	24 Or le Seigneur parla à Moïse et lui dit:
25 Say to Aaron and his sons: This is the law of the victim for sin. In the place where the holocaust is offered, it shall be immolated in the sight of the Lord. It is the Holy of holies.	25 Dites ceci à Aaron et à ses fils: Voici la loi de l'hostie offerte pour le péché: Elle sera immolée devant le Seigneur, au lieu où l'holocauste est offert. C'est une chose très sainte;
26 The priest who offers it shall eat it in the holy place, in the atrium of the tabernacle.	26 Et le prêtre qui l'offre la mangera dans le lieu saint, dans le parvis du tabernacle.
27 Whatever will touch its flesh shall be sanctified. If a garment will be sprinkled with its blood, it shall be washed in a holy place.	27 Tout ce qui en aura touché la chair sera sanctifié. S'il rejaillit du sang de l'hostie sur un vêtement, il sera lavé dans le lieu saint.
28 Then the earthen vessel, in which it was soaked, shall be broken. But if the vessel will be of brass, it shall be scoured and washed with water.	28 Le vase de terre dans lequel elle aura été cuite sera brisé. Si le vase est d'airain, on le nettoiera avec grand soin, et on le lavera avec de l'eau.
29 Every male of priestly descent shall feed on its flesh, because it is the Holy of holies.	29 Tout mâle de la race sacerdotale mangera de la chair de cette victime parce qu'elle est très sainte.
30 For the victim that is slain for sin, whose blood is carried into the tabernacle of the testimony, for expiation in the Sanctuary, shall not be eaten, but it shall be consumed by fire.	30 Car, quant à l'hostie qui s'immole pour le péché, et dont on porte le sang dans le tabernacle du témoignage pour faire l'expiation dans le sanctuaire, on n'en mangera point, mais elle sera brûlée par le feu.
