1 Unto the end. A Psalm of David. To you, Lord, I have lifted up my soul.	1 (Per la fine. Salmo di David). A te, o Signore, ho innalzato l'anima mia.
2 In you, my God, I trust. Let me not be put to shame.	2 Mio Dio, in te confido; che non rimanga deluso.
3 And do not let my enemies laugh at me. For all who remain with you will not be confounded.	3 E non abbiano a deridermi i miei nemici. No; tutti quelli che sperano in te non resteran confusi.
4 May all those who act unjustly over nothing be confounded. O Lord, demonstrate your ways to me, and teach me your paths.	4 Siano confusi tutti quelli che alla leggera commettono l'iniquità. Signore, mostrami le tue vie e insegnami i tuoi sentieri.
5 Direct me in your truth, and teach me. For you are God, my Saviour, and I remain with you all day long.	5 Fammi camminare nella tua verità e ammaestrami, perchè tu sei Dio mio salvatore e in te ho sempre sperato.
6 O Lord, remember your compassion and your mercies, which are from ages past.	6 Ricordati delle tue misericordie. o Signore; delle tue misericordie che sono eterne.
7 Do not remember the offenses of my youth and my ignorances. Remember me according to your mercy, because of your goodness, O Lord.	7 Non ricordare i peccati della mia giovinezza nè le mie trasgressioni. Ricordati di me secondo la tua misericordia, per la tua bontà, o Signore.
8 The Lord is sweet and righteous. Because of this, he will grant a law to those who fall short in the way.	8 Il Signore è buono e giusto, perciò dà la regola da tenere a chi s'è perso per la strada.
9 He will direct the mild in judgment. He will teach the meek his ways.	9 Guida i mansueti alla giustizia, insegna ai miti le sue vie.
10 All the ways of the Lord are mercy and truth, to those who yearn for his covenant and his testimonies.	10 Tutte le vie del Signore sono misericordia e verità per coloro che osservano il suo patto e i suoi precetti.
11 Because of your name, O Lord, you will pardon my sin, for it is great.	11 Pel tuo nome, o Signore, perdona il mio peccato, che è molto grande.
12 Which is the man who fears the Lord? He has established a law for him, on the way that he has chosen.	12 Chi è l'uomo che teme il Signore? A lui (Dio) mostra la via da scegliere.
13 His soul will dwell upon good things, and his offspring will inherit the earth.	13 L'anima di lui vive in mezzo ai beni, la sua discendenza avrà in retaggio la terra.
14 The Lord is a firmament to those who fear him, and his covenant will be made manifest to them.	14 Il Signore è sostegno di coloro che lo temono e dà loro a conoscere la sua alleanza.
15 My eyes are ever toward the Lord, for he will pull my feet from the snare.	15 Gli occhi miei son sempre rivolti al Signore, perchè Egli trarrà dal laccio i miei piedi.
16 Look upon me and have mercy on me; for I am alone and poor.	16 Volgiti a me ed abbi pietà di me, perchè io sono solo e povero.
17 The troubles of my heart have been multiplied. Deliver me from my needfulness.	17 Le tribolazioni del mio cuore si sono moltiplicate: deh! tu liberami dai miei affanni.
18 See my lowliness and my hardship, and release all my offenses.	18 Guarda la mia miseria, le mie pene, e perdonami tutti i miei peccati.
19 Consider my enemies, for they have been multiplied, and they have hated me with an unjust hatred.	19 Guarda i miei nemici come son numerosi, e come mi odiano con odio ingiusto.
20 Preserve my soul and rescue me. I will not be ashamed, for I have hoped in you.	20 Custodisci l'anima mia e salvami, ch'io non abbia d'arrossire d'avere sperato in te.
21 The innocent and the righteous have adhered to me, because I have remained with you.	21 Gl'innocenti e i buoni si sono a me uniti, perchè in te ho sperato.
22 Free Israel, O God, from all his tribulations.	22 O Dio, libera Israele da tutte le sue afflizioni.
