1 Unto the end. A Psalm of David. To you, Lord, I have lifted up my soul.	1 Salmo di Davidde. A Te, o Signore, innalzai l'anima mia:
2 In you, my God, I trust. Let me not be put to shame.	2 Dio mio, in te confido, non abbia io da arrossire.
3 And do not let my enemies laugh at me. For all who remain with you will not be confounded.	3 Né mi derìdano i miei nemici; imperocché tutti coloro, che ti aspettano non rimarranno confusi.
4 May all those who act unjustly over nothing be confounded. O Lord, demonstrate your ways to me, and teach me your paths.	4 Siano confusi tutti coloro, che invano commettono l'iniquità. Mostrami le tue vie, o Signore, e insegnami i tuoi sentieri.
5 Direct me in your truth, and teach me. For you are God, my Saviour, and I remain with you all day long.	5 Fa ch'io cammini nella tua verità, e ammaestrami, perché tu se' il Dio mio Salvatore, e te ho io aspettato tutto il giorno.
6 O Lord, remember your compassion and your mercies, which are from ages past.	6 Ricordati di tue misericordie, o Signore, delle tue misericordie, che furono ne' secoli addietro.
7 Do not remember the offenses of my youth and my ignorances. Remember me according to your mercy, because of your goodness, O Lord.	7 Non ti ricordare de' delitti di mia giovinezza, né delle mie ignoranze. Secondo la tua misericordia abbi memoria di me, o Signore, per la tua benignità.
8 The Lord is sweet and righteous. Because of this, he will grant a law to those who fall short in the way.	8 Il Signore è buono, e giusto; per questo ei darà a' peccatori la legge della via da tenere.
9 He will direct the mild in judgment. He will teach the meek his ways.	9 Condurrà gli umili alla giustizia; insegnerà le sue vie ai mansueti.
10 All the ways of the Lord are mercy and truth, to those who yearn for his covenant and his testimonies.	10 Tutte le vie del Signore (sono) misericordia, e verità per coloro, che cercano il testamento di lui, e i suoi comandamenti.
11 Because of your name, O Lord, you will pardon my sin, for it is great.	11 Pel nome tuo, o Signore, tu per donerai il mio peccato; perché egli è grande.
12 Which is the man who fears the Lord? He has established a law for him, on the way that he has chosen.	12 Che uomo è quello, che teme il Signore? (Dio) ha data a lui la legge della via, ch'egli elesse.
13 His soul will dwell upon good things, and his offspring will inherit the earth.	13 L'anima di lui sarà nella copia de' beni, e la stirpe di lui avrà in retaggio la terra.
14 The Lord is a firmament to those who fear him, and his covenant will be made manifest to them.	14 Il Signore è sostegno di color che lo temono; e il testamento di lui è per essere ad essi manifestato.
15 My eyes are ever toward the Lord, for he will pull my feet from the snare.	15 Gli occhi miei sempre rivolti al Signore; perché egli trarrà dal laccio i miei piedi.
16 Look upon me and have mercy on me; for I am alone and poor.	16 A me volgi il tuo sguardo, e abbi pietà di me, perché io son solo, e son povero.
17 The troubles of my heart have been multiplied. Deliver me from my needfulness.	17 Le tribolazioni del mio cuore sono moltiplicate: tu mi libera da' miei affanni.
18 See my lowliness and my hardship, and release all my offenses.	18 Mira la mia abbiezione, e le mie pene, e perdona tutti li miei peccati.
19 Consider my enemies, for they have been multiplied, and they have hated me with an unjust hatred.	19 Pon mente a' miei nemici, come son molti di numero, e ingiustamente mi odiano.
20 Preserve my soul and rescue me. I will not be ashamed, for I have hoped in you.	20 Custodisci l'anima mia, e dammi salute: non abbia io da arrossire, perché ho sperato in te.
21 The innocent and the righteous have adhered to me, because I have remained with you.	21 Gli innocenti, e quelli di retto cuore si sono uniti con me, perché io ti ho aspettato.
22 Free Israel, O God, from all his tribulations.	22 O Dio, libera Israele da tutte le sue afflizioni.
