1 Why have the Gentiles been seething, and why have the people been pondering nonsense?	1 Pourquoi les nations ont-elles frémi, * et les peuples ont-ils formé de vains desseins?
2 The kings of the earth have stood up, and the leaders have joined together as one, against the Lord and against his Christ:	2 Les rois de la terre se sont levés, et les princes se sont assemblés * contre le Seigneur et contre Son Christ.
3 “Let us shatter their chains and cast their yoke away from us.”	3 Rompons leurs liens, * et jetons loin de nous leur joug.
4 He who dwells in heaven will ridicule them, and the Lord will mock them.	4 Celui qui habite dans les cieux Se rira d'eux, * et le Seigneur Se moquera d'eux.
5 Then will he speak to them in his anger and trouble them with his fury.	5 Alors Il leur parlera dans Sa colère, * et Il les épouvantera dans Sa fureur.
6 Yet I have been appointed king by him over Zion, his holy mountain, preaching his precepts.	6 Pour Moi, J'ai été établi Roi par Lui sur Sion, Sa montagne sainte, * afin d'annoncer Son décret.
7 The Lord has said to me: You are my son, this day have I begotten you.	7 Le Seigneur M'a dit: * Tu es Mon Fils; Je T'ai engendré aujourd'hui.
8 Ask of me and I will give to you: the Gentiles for your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for your possession.	8 Demande-Moi et Je Te donnerai les nations pour Ton héritage, * et pour Ton domaine les extrémités de la terre.
9 You will rule them with an iron rod, and you will shatter them like a potter’s vessel.	9 Tu les gouverneras avec une verge de fer, * et Tu les briseras comme le vase du potier.
10 And now, O kings, understand. Receive instruction, you who judge the earth.	10 Et maintenant, ô rois, comprenez; * instruisez-vous, juges de la terre.
11 Serve the Lord in fear, and exult in him with trembling.	11 Servez le Seigneur avec crainte, * et réjouissez-vous en Lui avec tremblement.
12 Embrace discipline, lest at any time the Lord might become angry, and you would perish from the way of the just.	12 Attachez-vous à la doctrine, de peur que le Seigneur ne S'irrite, * et que vous ne périssiez hors de la voie droite.
13 Though his wrath can flare up in a short time, blessed are all those who trust in him.	13 Lorsque bientôt s'enflammera Sa colère, * heureux tous ceux qui ont confiance en Lui.
