1 Chronicles 16

1 And so they took the ark of God, and they set it in the midst of the tabernacle, which David had pitched for it. And they offered holocausts and peace offerings before God.	1 E portarono l'arca di Dio, e collocaronla in mezzo del tabernacolo, il quale David gli avea fatto; e offerirono olocausti e pacifichi nel cospetto di Dio.
2 And when David had completed offering holocausts and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord.	2 E compiuto David d' offerire lo olocausto e le pacifiche ostie (dinanzi a Dio), benedisse il popolo nel nome di Dio.
3 And he divided to every single one, from men even to women, a twist of bread, and a piece of roasted beef, and fine wheat flour fried with oil.	3 E partìo a tutti a ciascuno, maschio e femina, una torta di pane, e parte di carne di bufola arrostita, e similia fatta in olio.
4 And he appointed some from the Levites who would minister before the ark of the Lord, and commemorate his works, and glorify and praise the Lord, the God of Israel.	4 E ordinò nel cospetto dell' arca [del Signore] Leviti, i quali ministrassero e ricordassersi dell' opere sue, e glorificassono e laudassono il Signore Iddio d' Israel;
5 Asaph was the leader, and second to him was Zechariah. In addition, there were Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obededom. And Jeiel was over the instruments of the psaltery and the harps. But Asaph sounded out with the cymbals.	5 Asaf principe, e Zacaria secondo a lui, e Iaiel [e Semiramot e Ieiel] e Matatia ed Eliab e Banaia, e Obededom; Ieiel sopra il canto del salterio e le lire, e Asaf a suonare i cimbali;
6 Truly, the priests, Benaiah and Jahaziel, were to sound the trumpet continually before the ark of the covenant of the Lord.	6 e Banaia, e Iaziel [sacerdoti], che cantassero continuamente [colle] trombe nel cospetto dell' arca del patto del Signore.
7 In that day, David made Asaph the leader, in order to confess to the Lord with his brothers:	7 In quel dì fece David principe a confessare a Dio, Asaf e i suoi fratelli.
8 “Confess to the Lord, and invoke his name. Make known his endeavors among the peoples.	8 Confessatevi al Signore, e invocate il nome suo; fate manifesto nei popoli i suoi trovamenti.
9 Sing to him, and sing psalms to him, and describe all his miracles.	9 Cantate, salmeggiate a lui; e narrate tutte le sue maraviglie.
10 Praise his holy name! Let the heart of those who seek the Lord rejoice!	10 Laudate il suo santo nome; e allegrisi il cuore di quelli che domandano il Signore.
11 Seek the Lord and his virtue. Seek his face always.	11 Cercate il Signore e le sue virtudi; e domandate tuttavia la faccia sua.
12 Remember his miracles, which he has accomplished, his signs, and the judgments of his mouth.	12 Ricordatevi delle sue maraviglie le quali egli fece, e de' segni suoi e de' giudicii della bocca sua.
13 O offspring of Israel, his servants! O sons of Jacob, his elect!	13 Il seme d' Israel servi suoi; i figliuoli di Iacob suoi eletti.
14 He is the Lord our God. His judgments are throughout all the earth.	14 Esso è il Signore Iddio nostro; in tutta la terra sono i giudicii suoi.
15 Remember forever his covenant, the word that he instructed unto a thousand generations,	15 Ricordatevi in sempiterno del patto suo, e della parola la quale comandò in mille generazioni,
16 the covenant that he formed with Abraham, and his oath with Isaac.	16 il quale [patto] fece con esso Abraam; e del suo giuramento ad Isaac.
17 And he appointed the same to Jacob as a precept, and to Israel as an everlasting pact,	17 E ordinò quello in comandamento a Iacob, e in patto sempiterno ad Israel,
18 saying: ‘To you, I will give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance.’	18 dicendo: io ti darò la terra di Canaan, funicello della vostra eredita.
19 At that time, they were small in number, they were few and were settlers there.	19 Quando erano pochi in numero, piccoli gli gli abitatori suoi,
20 And they passed through, from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another people.	20 e' passarono di gente in gente, e di reame ad altro popolo.
21 He did not permit anyone to falsely accuse them. Instead, he reproved kings on their behalf:	21 Non permise che alcuno li calunniasse; anzi per loro riprese li re.
22 ‘Do not touch my Christ. And do not malign my prophets.’	22 Non vogliate toccare i miei cristi; e nelli miei profeti non vogliate essere maligni.
23 Sing to the Lord, all the earth! Announce his salvation, from day to day.	23 Cantate tutta la terra al Signore; annunciatedi dì in dì la salute sua.
24 Describe his glory among the Gentiles, his miracles among all the peoples.	24 Narrate tra le genti la gloria sua; in tutti i popoli le maraviglie sue.
25 For the Lord is great and exceedingly praiseworthy. And he is terrible, above all gods.	25 Però che egli è grande Signore, e troppo da laudare; terribile sopra tutti gli dii.
26 For all the gods of the peoples are idols. But the Lord made the heavens.	26 Però che tutti gli dii de' popoli sono idoli; ma il Signore fece i cieli.
27 Confession and magnificence are before him. Strength and gladness are in his place.	27 Confessione e magnificenza nel cospetto suo; fortezza e letizia nel luogo suo.
28 Bring to the Lord, O families of the peoples, bring to the Lord glory and dominion.	28 Famiglie de' popoli portate al Signore; portate al Signore imperio e gloria.
29 Give glory to the Lord, to his name. Lift up sacrifice, and approach before his sight. And adore the Lord in holy attire.	29 E imperciò date gloria al suo nome, levate il suo sacrificio (nel suo onore) e venite nel cospetto suo; e adorate il Signore in santa bellezza.
30 Let all the earth be moved before his face. For he founded the globe immoveable.	30 Dal suo cospetto sia commossa tutta la terra; egli certo fondò la terra immobile.
31 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth exult. And let them say among the nations, ‘The Lord has reigned.’	31 Allegrinsi i cieli, e allegrisi la terra; e dicano tra le nazioni: il Signore regnarà.
32 Let the sea roar, with all its plenitude. Let the fields exult, with all that is in them.	32 Tuoni il mare, e tutto quello che v' è dentro; allegrinsi i campi, e tutte le cose che vi sono.
33 Then the trees of the forest will give praise before the Lord. For he comes to judge the earth.	33 Allotta lauderanno i legni de' boschi [dinanzi al Signore]; imperciò che venne a giudicare la terra.
34 Confess to the Lord, for he is good. For his mercy is eternal.	34 Confessatevi al Signore, però ch' egli è buono; però che la sua misericordia è eterna.
35 And say: ‘Save us, O God our savior! And gather us together, and rescue us from the nations, so that we may confess to your holy name, and may exult in your songs.	35 E dite: salvaci, Salvatore nostro Iddio; e congrega noi, e salvaci dalle genti, acciò che noi ci confessiamo al tuo santo nome, e allegriamci negli versi tuoi.
36 Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, from eternity to eternity.’ And let all the people say, ‘Amen,’ and let them sing a hymn to the Lord.”	36 Benedetto il Signore Iddio d'Israel dallo eterno insino allo eterno; e ogni popolo dica: amen, e inno a Dio.
37 And so, there before the ark of the covenant of the Lord, he left Asaph and his brothers, so that they might minister in the sight of the ark continually, throughout each day, and in their turns.	37 E lasciò ivi dinanzi all' arca del patto Asaf e i suoi fratelli, acciò che servisseno nel cospetto dell' arca continuamente, ogni dì, secondo la loro sorte.
38 Now Obededom and his brothers were sixty-eight. And he appointed Obededom, the son of Jeduthun, and Hosah to be porters.	38 E Obededom, e' suoi fratelli LXVIII, e Obededom figliuolo di Iditun, e Osa fece portieri.
39 But Zadok the priest, and his brothers the priests, were before the tabernacle of the Lord in the high place, which was in Gibeon,	39 E Sadoc sacerdote e' suoi fratelli fece che fossero sacerdoti nel cospetto del tabernacolo del Signore, nell' altezza la quale era in Gabaon,
40 so that they could offer holocausts to the Lord upon the altar of holocausts continually, morning and evening, according to all that was written in the law of the Lord, which he instructed to Israel.	40 acciò ch' egli offerissono olocausto al Signore sopra l'altare d'ogni olocausto continuo, la mattina e al vespro, secondo quello ch' era scritto nella legge del Signore, la quale comandò ad Israel;
41 And after him, Heman, and Jeduthun, and the remainder of the elect, each one by his name, were appointed to confess to the Lord: “For his mercy endures forever.”	41 e dopo lui Eman e Iditun e tutti gli altri eletti, ciascheduno per suo nome, a confessare a Dio, chè la sua misericordia è in eterno;
42 Also Heman and Jeduthun sounded the trumpet, and they played upon the cymbals, and upon every kind of musical instrument, in order to sing praises to God. But the sons of Jeduthun he made to be porters.	42 ed Eman e Iditun cantando con tromba, e sonanti cimbali e tutti istromenti musichi, a cantare a Dio; e i figliuoli di Iditun fece portieri.
43 And all the people returned to their houses, and David also, so that he might bless his own house too.	43 E tutto il popolo ritornò a casa sua; e anche David a benedicere la casa sua.
