Hosea 6

NEW JERUSALEM	LXX
1 Come, let us return to Yahweh. He has rent us and he wil heal us; he has struck us and he will bind upour wounds;	1 πορευθωμεν και επιστρεψωμεν προς κυριον τον θεον ημων οτι αυτος ηρπακεν και ιασεται ημας παταξει και μοτωσει ημας
2 after two days he wil revive us, on the third day he wil raise us up and we shal live in his presence.	2 υγιασει ημας μετα δυο ημερας εν τη ημερα τη τριτη αναστησομεθα και ζησομεθα ενωπιον αυτου
3 Let us know, let us strive to know Yahweh; that he will come is as certain as the dawn. He wil come tous like a shower, like the rain of springtime to the earth.	3 και γνωσομεθα διωξομεν του γνωναι τον κυριον ως ορθρον ετοιμον ευρησομεν αυτον και ηξει ως υετος ημιν προιμος και οψιμος τη γη
4 What am I to do with you, Ephraim? What am I to do with you, Judah? For your love is like morningmist, like the dew that quickly disappears.	4 τι σοι ποιησω εφραιμ τι σοι ποιησω ιουδα το δε ελεος υμων ως νεφελη πρωινη και ως δροσος ορθρινη πορευομενη
5 This is why I have hacked them to pieces by means of the prophets, why I have kil ed them with wordsfrom my mouth, why my sentence wil blaze forth like the dawn-	5 δια τουτο απεθερισα τους προφητας υμων απεκτεινα αυτους εν ρημασιν στοματος μου και το κριμα μου ως φως εξελευσεται
6 for faithful love is what pleases me, not sacrifice; knowledge of God, not burnt offerings.	6 διοτι ελεος θελω και ου θυσιαν και επιγνωσιν θεου η ολοκαυτωματα
7 But they have broken the covenant at Adam, there they have betrayed me.	7 αυτοι δε εισιν ως ανθρωπος παραβαινων διαθηκην εκει κατεφρονησεν μου
8 Gilead is a city of evil-doers, ful of bloody footprints.	8 γαλααδ πολις εργαζομενη ματαια ταρασσουσα υδωρ
9 Like so many robbers in ambush, a gang of priests commits murder on the road to Shechem- whatinfamous behaviour!	9 και η ισχυς σου ανδρος πειρατου εκρυψαν ιερεις οδον κυριου εφονευσαν σικιμα οτι ανομιαν εποιησαν
10 At Bethel I have seen a horrible thing; there Ephraim plays the whore, Israel is befouled.	10 εν τω οικω ισραηλ ειδον φρικωδη εκει πορνειαν του εφραιμ εμιανθη ισραηλ και ιουδα
11 For you too, Judah, a harvest is in store, when I restore my people's fortunes.	11 αρχου τρυγαν σεαυτω εν τω επιστρεφειν με την αιχμαλωσιαν του λαου μου
