1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,	1 ויהי דבר יהוה אלי לאמר
2 'Son of man, raise the lament for Tyre.	2 ואתה בן אדם שא על צר קינה
3 Say to Tyre, "City enthroned at the gateway of the sea, agent between the peoples and the manyislands, Lord Yahweh says this: Tyre, you used to say: I am a ship perfect in beauty.	3 ואמרת לצור הישבתי על מבואת ים רכלת העמים אל איים רבים כה אמר אדני יהוה צור את אמרת אני כלילת יפי
4 Your frontiers were far out to sea; those who built you made you perfect in beauty.	4 בלב ימים גבוליך בניך כללו יפיך
5 Cypress from Senir they used for al your planking. They took a cedar from Lebanon to make a mastabove you.	5 ברושים משניר בנו לך את כל לחתים ארז מלבנון לקחו לעשות תרן עליך
6 From oaks of Bashan they made your oars. They built you a deck of cedar inlaid with ivory from theKittim isles.	6 אלונים מבשן עשו משוטיך קרשך עשו שן בת אשרים מאיי כתים
7 Embroidered linen from Egypt was used for your sail and for your flag. Purple and scarlet from theElishah islands formed your deck-tent.	7 שש ברקמה ממצרים היה מפרשך להיות לך לנס תכלת וארגמן מאיי אלישה היה מכסך
8 The people of Sidon and Arvad were your oarsmen. The sages of Tyre were aboard, serving assailors.	8 ישבי צידון וארוד היו שטים לך חכמיך צור היו בך המה חבליך
9 The elders and craftsmen of Gebal were there to caulk your seams. "Every sea-going ship and crewfrequented you to guarantee your trade.	9 זקני גבל וחכמיה היו בך מחזיקי בדקך כל אניות הים ומלחיהם היו בך לערב מערבך
10 Men from Persia, Lud and Put served as warriors in your army; hanging up shield and helmet in you,they displayed your splendour.	10 פרס ולוד ופוט היו בחילך אנשי מלחמתך מגן וכובע תלו בך המה נתנו הדרך
11 The sons of Arvad with their army manned your wal s al round, while the Gammadians manned yourtowers; hanging their shields al round your walls, they completed your beauty.	11 בני ארוד וחילך על חומותיך סביב וגמדים במגדלותיך היו שלטיהם תלו על חומותיך סביב המה כללו יפיך
12 Tarshish traded with you because of your abundant resources and exchanged your merchandise forsilver, iron, tin and lead.	12 תרשיש סחרתך מרב כל הון בכסף ברזל בדיל ועופרת נתנו עזבוניך
13 Javan, Tubal and Meshech traded with you. For your merchandise they traded slaves and bronzeartefacts.	13 יון תבל ומשך המה רכליך בנפש אדם וכלי נחשת נתנו מערבך
14 The people of Beth-Togarmah traded your horses, chargers, mules.	14 מבית תוגרמה סוסים ופרשים ופרדים נתנו עזבוניך
15 The people of Dedan traded with you; many islands were your customers and paid you in ivory tusksand ebony.	15 בני דדן רכליך איים רבים סחרת ידך קרנות שן והובנים השיבו אשכרך
16 Edom traded with you for the sake of your many manufactured goods, exchanging garnets, purple,embroideries, fine linen, coral and rubies for your goods.	16 ארם סחרתך מרב מעשיך בנפך ארגמן ורקמה ובוץ וראמת וכדכד נתנו בעזבוניך
17 Judah and the land of Israel also traded with you, bringing corn from Minnith, pannag, honey, oil andbalm.	17 יהודה וארץ ישראל המה רכליך בחטי מנית ופנג ודבש ושמן וצרי נתנו מערבך
18 Damascus traded with you, for quantities of your manufactured goods and other goods of al kinds,furnishing you with wine from Helbon and wool from Zahar.	18 דמשק סחרתך ברב מעשיך מרב כל הון ביין חלבון וצמר צחר
19 Dan and Javan, from Uzal onwards, supplied you with wrought iron, cassia and reeds in exchangefor your goods.	19 ודן ויון מאוזל בעזבוניך נתנו ברזל עשות קדה וקנה במערבך היה
20 Dedan traded with you in saddle-cloths.	20 דדן רכלתך בבגדי חפש לרכבה
21 Arabia and al the sheikhs of Kedar were your customers; they paid in lambs, rams and he-goats.	21 ערב וכל נשיאי קדר המה סחרי ידך בכרים ואילים ועתודים בם סחריך
22 The merchants of Sheba and Raamah traded with you; they supplied you with the finest spices,precious stones and gold for your merchandise.	22 רכלי שבא ורעמה המה רכליך בראש כל בשם ובכל אבן יקרה וזהב נתנו עזבוניך
23 Haran, Canneh and Eden, the merchants of Sheba, Asshur and Chilmad traded with you.	23 חרן וכנה ועדן רכלי שבא אשור כלמד רכלתך
24 They traded rich clothes, embroidered and purple cloaks, multi-coloured materials and strong plaitedcords for your markets.	24 המה רכליך במכללים בגלומי תכלת ורקמה ובגנזי ברמים בחבלים חבשים וארזים במרכלתך
25 Ships of Tarshish sailed on your business; you were ful and heavily loaded far out to sea.	25 אניות תרשיש שרותיך מערבך ותמלאי ותכבדי מאד בלב ימים
26 Out to the open sea your oarsmen rowed you. The east wind has wrecked you far out to sea.	26 במים רבים הביאוך השטים אתך רוח הקדים שברך בלב ימים
27 Your riches, your goods, your cargo, your seamen, your sailors, your caulkers, your commercialagents, all the warriors you carry, and al the passengers who are aboard wil founder far out to sea on the day ofyour shipwreck.	27 הונך ועזבוניך מערבך מלחיך וחבליך מחזיקי בדקך וערבי מערבך וכל אנשי מלחמתך אשר בך ובכל קהלך אשר בתוכך יפלו בלב ימים ביום מפלתך
28 When they hear the cries of your sailors the coasts wil tremble.	28 לקול זעקת חבליך ירעשו מגרשות
29 Then the oarsmen will al desert their ships. The sailors and seafaring people wil stay ashore.	29 וירדו מאניותיהם כל תפשי משוט מלחים כל חבלי הים אל הארץ יעמדו
30 They will raise their voices for you and weep bitterly. They wil throw dust on their heads and roll inashes;	30 והשמיעו עליך בקולם ויזעקו מרה ויעלו עפר על ראשיהם באפר יתפלשו
31 they wil shave their heads for you and put sackcloth round their waists. With heartfelt bitterness theywil weep for you, bitterly wail.	31 והקריחו אליך קרחה וחגרו שקים ובכו אליך במר נפש מספד מר
32 Wailing, they will raise the lament for you, they wil lament over you: Who is like Tyre, far out to sea?	32 ונשאו אליך בניהם קינה וקוננו עליך מי כצור כדמה בתוך הים
33 When you unloaded your goods to satisfy so many peoples, you enriched the kings of the earth withyour excess of wealth and goods.	33 בצאת עזבוניך מימים השבעת עמים רבים ברב הוניך ומערביך העשרת מלכי ארץ
34 Now you have been wrecked by the waves, by the depths of the sea. Your cargo and all yourpassengers have foundered with you.	34 עת נשברת מימים במעמקי מים מערבך וכל קהלך בתוכך נפלו
35 Al those who live in the islands wil be stunned at your fate. Their kings wil quake with horror, withdowncast expressions.	35 כל ישבי האיים שממו עליך ומלכיהם שערו שער רעמו פנים
36 The merchants of the nations wil whistle at your fate. You wil be an object of terror, gone for ever." '	36 סחרים בעמים שרקו עליך בלהות היית ואינך עד עולם
