Ezekiel 13

NEW JERUSALEM	DIODATI
1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,	1 LA parola del Signore mi fu ancora indirizzata, dicendo:
2 'Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel; prophesy, and say to those who make upprophecies out of their own heads, "Hear what Yahweh says:	2 Figliuol d’uomo, profetizza contro ai profeti d’Israele, che profetizzano; e di’ a’ profeti che profetizzano di lor senno: Ascoltate la parola del Signore.
3 The Lord Yahweh says this: Disaster is in store for the foolish prophets who fol ow their own spirit andhave seen nothing!	3 Così ha detto il Signore Iddio: Guai ai profeti stolti, che vanno dietro al loro spirito, e dietro a cose che non hanno vedute!
4 Your prophets, Israel, are like ruin-haunting jackals!	4 O Israele, i tuoi profeti sono stati come volpi ne’ deserti.
5 "You have not ventured into the breach; you have not built up the wal round the House of Israel, tohold fast in battle on the Day of Yahweh.	5 Voi non siete saliti alle rotture, e non avete fatto alcun riparo davanti alla casa d’Israele, per presentarsi a battaglia nel giorno del Signore.
6 Theirs are futile visions and false predictions, who say: A prophecy from Yahweh, when Yahweh hasnot sent them; yet they expect their words to come true.	6 Han vedute visioni di vanità, e indovinamenti di menzogna; essi son quelli che dicono: Il Signore dice; benchè il Signore non li abbia mandati; ed hanno data speranza, che la parola sarebbe adempiuta.
7 Have not the visions you see been futile, have not the predictions you make been false, although yousay: A prophecy of Yahweh, when I have not spoken?	7 Non avete voi vedute visioni di vanità, e pronunziati indovinamenti di menzogna? e pur dite: Il Signore dice; benchè io non abbia parlato.
8 "Very wel , the Lord Yahweh says this: Because of your futile words and false predictions, I am nowagainst you -- declares Lord Yahweh.	8 Per tanto, così ha detto il Signore Iddio: Perciocchè voi avete proposta vanità, ed avete vedute visioni di falsità; perciò, eccomi contro a voi, dice il Signore Iddio.
9 My hand wil be against the prophets who have futile visions and give false predictions; they will not beadmitted to the council of my people, their names wil not be entered in the roll of the House of Israel, they willnot set foot on the soil of Israel; and they wil know that I am the Lord Yahweh.	9 E la mia mano sarà contro a que’ profeti, che veggon visioni di vanità, e indovinano menzogna; non saran più nel consiglio del mio popolo, e non saranno scritti nella rassegna della casa d’Israele; e non verranno nella terra d’Israele; e voi conoscerete che io sono il Signore Iddio
10 This is because they have misled my people by saying Peace! when there is no peace. When mypeople were repairing a wal , these men came and plastered it over!	10 Perchè, ed appunto perchè essi hanno traviato il mio popolo, dicendo: Pace, benchè non vi fosse alcuna pace; e perchè quand’uno edifica una parete, ecco, essi l’hanno smaltata di smalto mal tegnente;
11 Tel these plasterers: It will rain hard, it wil hail, it wil blow a gale,	11 di’ a quelli che smaltano di smalto mal tegnente, che la parete caderà; verrà una pioggia strabocchevole, e voi, o pietre di grossa gragnuola, caderete; ed un vento tempestoso la schianterà.
12 and down wil come the wal ! Will not people ask you: What has become of the plaster you slappedon it?	12 Ed ecco, quando la parete sarà caduta, non saravvi egli detto: Dove è lo smalto, col quale voi l’avete smaltata?
13 Wel then, the Lord Yahweh says this: I am going to unleash a stormy wind in my fury, torrential rainin my anger, hailstones in my destructive fury,	13 Perciò, così ha detto il Signore Iddio: Io farò scoppiare un vento tempestoso nella mia ira; e caderà una pioggia strabocchevole, nel mio cruccio; e pietre di grossa gragnuola, nella mia indegnazione, per disperdere interamente.
14 and I shal shatter the wal you plastered and knock it down and lay its foundations bare. It wil faland you wil perish under it; then you wil know that I am Yahweh."	14 Ed io disfarò la parete, che voi avete smaltata di smalto mal tegnente, e l’abbatterò a terra, e i suoi fondamenti saranno scoperti; ed ella caderà, e voi sarete consumati in mezzo di essa; e conoscerete che io sono il Signore.
15 'When I have sated my anger on the wal and those who plastered it, I shall say to you, "The wal isgone, and so are those who plastered over it,	15 Ed io adempierò la mia ira sopra la parete, e sopra quelli che la smaltano di smalto mal tegnente; ed io vi dirò: La parete non è più; quelli ancora che l’hanno smaltata non sono più;
16 the prophets of Israel who prophesy about Jerusalem and have visions of peace for her when there isno peace -- declares the Lord Yahweh."	16 cioè i profeti d’Israele, che profetizzano a Gerusalemme, e le veggono visioni di pace, benchè non vi sia alcuna pace, dice il Signore Iddio
17 'Also, son of man, turn to the women of your people who make up prophecies out of their own heads;prophesy against them.	17 Oltre a ciò, tu, figliuol d’uomo, volgi la tua faccia contro alle figliuole del tuo popolo, che profetizzano di lor proprio senno; e profetizza contro a loro;
18 Say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Disaster is in store for women who sew ribbons round each wristand make head-cloths for people of al sizes, in their hunt for souls! Are you to hunt the souls of my people andkeep your own souls safe?	18 e di’: Così ha detto il Signore Iddio: Guai a quelle che cuciono de’ piumacciuoli a tutte le ascelle, e che fanno de’ veli sopra il capo delle ersone d’ogni statura, per cacciare alle anime! caccereste voi alle anime del mio popolo, e salvereste le vostre proprie anime?
19 You dishonour me in front of my people for a few handfuls of barley, a few bits of bread, kil ing thosewho ought not to die and sparing those who ought not to live, lying to my people who love listening to lies.	19 E mi profanereste voi inverso il mio popolo, per delle menate d’orzo, e delle fette di pane; facendo morir le anime che non devono morire, e facendo viver l’anime che non devono vivere, mentendo al mio popolo, che ascolta la menzogna?
20 "Very wel , the Lord Yahweh says this: Look, I am now against your ribbons, with which you huntsouls like birds, and I shal tear them off your arms and free those souls whom you hunt like birds.	20 Perciò, così ha detto il Signore Iddio: Eccomi contro a’ vostri piumacciuoli, dove voi cacciate alle anime, come ad uccelli: e li straccerò d’in su le vostre braccia, e lascerò andar le anime, alle quali voi cacciate, come ad uccelli.
21 I shal tear your head-cloths to pieces and rescue my people from your clutches; no longer wil theybe fair game for you to ensnare. Then you wil know that I am Yahweh.	21 Straccerò parimente i vostri veli, e libererò il mio popolo dalle vostre mani, ed egli non sarà più nelle vostre mani, per esser vostra caccia; e voi conoscerete che io sono il Signore.
22 "For having intimidated with lies the heart of the upright whom I had done nothing to alarm, and forhaving encouraged the wicked not to give up wicked ways and so be saved,	22 Perciocchè voi avete falsamente contristato il cuor del giusto, il quale io non avea contristato; ed avete fortificate le mani dell’empio, acciocchè non si convertisse dalla sua via malvagia, per far ch’egli vivesse.
23 very well, you wil have no more futile visions and make no more predictions, for I shal rescue mypeople from your clutches, and you will know that I am Yahweh." '	23 Perciò, voi non vedrete più visioni di vanità, e non indovinerete più indovinamenti; ed io libererò il mio popolo dalle vostre mani, e voi conoscerete che io sono il Signore
