Jeremiah 32

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 The word that came to Jeremiah from Yahweh in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which wasthe eighteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar.	1 Questa è la parola che fu rivolta a Geremia da parte del Signore nell'anno decimo di Sedecia, re di Giuda, cioè l'anno diciottesimo di Nabucodònosor.
2 The army of the king of Babylon was then besieging Jerusalem, and the prophet Jeremiah wasconfined in the Court of the Guard in the king of Judah's palace,	2 In quel tempo l'esercito del re di Babilonia assediava Gerusalemme e Geremia il profeta stava prigioniero nel cortile della guardia, che è nella casa del re di Giuda,
3 where Zedekiah king of Judah had confined him, saying, 'Why do you keep prophesying like this,"Yahweh says this: I am going to hand this city over to the king of Babylon and he wil capture it;	3 perché lo aveva imprigionato Sedecia, re di Giuda, con questa imputazione: "Perché tu profetizzi dicendo: "Così dice il Signore: Ecco, io consegnerò questa città in potere del re di Babilonia e la prenderà.
4 and Zedekiah king of Judah will not escape the clutches of the Chaldaeans, but will certainly behanded over to the king of Babylon, speak to him personally and see him face to face.	4 Sedecia, re di Giuda, non scamperà dalla mano dei Caldei, ma sarà irrevocabilmente consegnato in potere del re di Babilonia e parlerà con lui bocca a bocca e i suoi occhi vedranno gli occhi di lui.
5 He wil take Zedekiah away to Babylon and there he wil stay (until I attend to him, Yahweh declares. Ifyou fight the Chaldaeans you will not succeed!)" 6 Jeremiah said, 'The word of Yahweh has been addressed to me as fol ows,	6 Disse Geremia: "La parola del Signore mi fu rivolta così:
7 "Look, Hanamel the son of your uncle Shal um wil come to you and say: Buy my field at Anathoth, foryou have the right of redemption to purchase it."	7 Ecco Canamèl, figlio di Sallùm, tuo zio, sta venendo verso di te per dirti: "Comprati il mio campo che è in Anatòt, poiché a te spetta il diritto di riscatto per acquistarlo".
8 And, as Yahweh had said, my cousin Hanamel came to me, in the Court of the Guard and said, "Buymy field at Anathoth in the territory of Benjamin, for you have the right of inheritance and right of redemption; buyit." I knew then that this was Yahweh's order.	8 Entrò dunque da me nel cortile della guardia Canamèl, figlio di mio zio, secondo la parola del Signore, e mi disse: "Compra il mio campo che è in Anatòt, poiché a te spetta il diritto di eredità e a te il riscatto: compratelo!". Io compresi che questa era la parola del Signore.
9 Accordingly, I bought the field from my cousin Hanamel of Anathoth and weighed him out the money:seventeen silver shekels.	9 Allora comprai il campo di Canamèl, figlio di mio zio, che è in Anatòt e gli pesai il denaro: diciassette sicli d'argento.
10 I drew up the deeds and sealed it, cal ed in witnesses and weighed out the money on the scales.	10 Scrissi l'atto nel libro e lo sigillai, radunai testimoni e pesai l'argento sulla bilancia.
11 I then took both the sealed deed of purchase (with its stipulations and clauses) and its open copy	11 Quindi presi il libro dell'acquisto, quello sigillato e quello aperto secondo la prescrizione e gli statuti,
12 and handed over the deed of purchase to Baruch son of Neriah, son of Mahseiah, in the presence ofmy cousin Hanamel, of the witnesses who had signed the deed of purchase, and of al the Judaeans who thenhappened to be in the Court of the Guard.	12 e consegnai il libro dell'acquisto a Baruc, figlio di Neria, figlio di Macsia, sotto gli occhi di Canamèl, figlio di mio zio, e sotto gli occhi dei testimoni che avevano firmato il libro dell'acquisto, sotto gli occhi di tutti i Giudei che stavano seduti nel cortile della guardia.
13 In their presence I gave Baruch this order,	13 Poi ordinai a Baruc, alla loro presenza:
14 "Yahweh Sabaoth, God of Israel, says this: Take these deeds, the sealed deed of purchase and itsopen copy, and put them in an earthenware pot, so that they may be preserved for a long time.	14 "Prendi questi scritti, questo libro dell'acquisto, sia quello sigillato che quello aperto, e mettili in un vaso di argilla affinché si conservino per molti giorni.
15 For Yahweh Sabaoth, God of Israel, says this: Houses, fields and vineyards wil again be bought inthis country."	15 Infatti, così dice il Signore degli eserciti: "Ancora si compreranno case e campi e vigne in questo paese".
16 'After I had entrusted the deed of purchase to Baruch son of Neriah, I prayed to Yahweh as fol ows,	16 Dopo che ebbi consegnato il libro di acquisto a Baruc, figlio di Neria, pregai il Signore:
17 "Ah, Lord Yahweh, you made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm.To you nothing is impossible.	17 "Ah, Signore Dio! Ecco, tu hai fatto il cielo e la terra con la tua grande potenza e con il tuo braccio steso! Per te non è prodigiosa alcuna cosa!
18 You show faithful love to thousands but repay the fathers' guilt in full to their children after them. Greatand mighty God, whose name is Yahweh Sabaoth,	18 Tu agisci misericordiosamente verso le tribù e ripaghi l'iniquità dei padri in seno ai figli dopo di loro, Dio grande e forte: Signore degli eserciti è il suo nome!
19 great in purpose, mighty in deed, whose eyes are open on al human ways, rewarding every individualas that person's ways and actions deserve!	19 Grande per il consiglio e potente per le opere, tu che tieni i tuoi occhi aperti su tutte le vie dei figli degli uomini per ricompensare ciascuno secondo la propria condotta e secondo il frutto delle loro azioni.
20 You performed signs and wonders in Egypt, as you stil do in Israel and among humanity today. Youhave won the name for yourself which is yours today.	20 Tu che hai operato segni e prodigi nel paese d'Egitto fino a questo giorno in Israele e tra gli uomini, e ti sei fatto un nome come in questo giorno.
21 You brought your people Israel out of Egypt with signs and wonders, with mighty hand andoutstretched arm and fearsome terror.	21 Tu facesti uscire il tuo popolo Israele dal paese d'Egitto con segni e prodigi, con mano forte e braccio steso, con timore grande.
22 Then you gave them this country which you had promised on oath to their ancestors, a countryflowing with milk and honey.	22 Desti loro questo paese che avevi giurato ai loro padri di dare loro, paese ove scorre latte e miele.
23 They then entered it, taking possession of it, but they would not listen to your voice nor follow yourLaw: they would do nothing you ordered them to do; and so you made this total disaster befall them.	23 Essi vi giunsero e l'ereditarono, ma non hanno ascoltato la tua voce e non hanno camminato nella tua legge, non hanno eseguito tutto ciò che ordinasti loro di fare: perciò hai fatto arrivare tutta questa sventura.
24 Look! The earthworks are already in place to take the city and, by means of sword, famine andplague, the city is now within the clutches of the Chaldaeans attacking it. What you said has now come true, asyou see.	24 Ecco: i terrapieni raggiungono la città per occuparla e la città sarà consegnata in potere dei Caldei che combattono contro di essa con la spada, con la fame e con la peste. Ciò che hai detto è giunto ed ecco: tu lo vedi!
25 Yet you yourself, Lord Yahweh, told me: Buy the field, pay for it, have it witnessed although the city isalready in the Chaldaeans' clutches." '	25 E tu mi dici, Signore Dio: "Comprati il campo con argento e chiama testimoni, mentre la città è consegnata in potere dei Caldei".
26 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,	26 Allora la parola del Signore fu rivolta a Geremia, in questi termini:
27 'Look, I am Yahweh, God of al humanity. Is anything impossible to me?	27 "Ecco: io sono il Signore, Dio di tutti gli uomini! Forse che per me c'è qualche cosa che sia prodigiosa?
28 'So, Yahweh says this, "I shal hand this city over to the Chaldaeans and to Nebuchadnezzar king ofBabylon, and he wil capture it;	28 Perciò così dice il Signore: Ecco, io sto per consegnare questa città in potere dei Caldei, in potere di Nabucodònosor, re di Babilonia e la prenderà;
29 the Chaldaeans attacking this city wil enter it, fire it and burn it to the ground, with the houses onwhose roofs incense has been offered to Baal and libations poured to other gods, to provoke my anger.	29 i Caldei che combattono contro questa città entreranno e la incendieranno con il fuoco e la bruceranno insieme alle case sulle cui terrazze offrirono incenso a Baal e fecero libagioni a dèi stranieri per farmi irritare.
30 For the people of Israel and Judah alike have done nothing but what displeases me since they wereyoung. (The people of Israel in fact have done nothing but provoke my anger by their actions, Yahweh declares.)	30 Sì, i figli d'Israele e i figli di Giuda hanno continuato ad agire malvagiamente dinanzi a me fin dalla loro gioventù; anzi i figli di Israele mi hanno provocato con le opere delle loro mani, oracolo del Signore.
31 Yes, from the day when this city was built until today, it has been such cause of anger and wrath tome that I mean to remove it from my sight,	31 Sì, motivo della mia ira e motivo del mio sdegno è stata per me questa città, dal giorno che la fondarono fino ad oggi. Perciò la farò sparire dal mio cospetto,
32 on account of al the wickedness the people of Israel and the people of Judah have done to provokemy anger; they, their kings, their chief men, their priests, their prophets, the people of Judah and the inhabitantsof Jerusalem.	32 a motivo di tutta la malvagità che i figli d'Israele e i figli di Giuda hanno commesso facendomi irritare, loro, i loro re, i loro capi, i loro sacerdoti, i loro profeti, gli uomini di Giuda e gli abitanti di Gerusalemme.
33 They turned to me their backs, never their faces; and though I taught them so urgently, so untiringly,they would not listen and accept correction.	33 Mi hanno perfino girato la schiena e non la faccia, mentre io li ammaestravo con sollecitudine e bene; essi non hanno dato ascolto per ricevere la correzione.
34 Instead, they set up their Horrors in the Temple that bears my name to defile it,	34 Hanno collocato le loro abominazioni nella casa dove s'invoca il mio nome, contaminandola.
35 and built the high places of Baal in the Val ey of Ben-Hinnom, to burn their sons and daughters alivein honour of Molech: a thing I have never ordered, that had never entered my thoughts -- that they would causeJudah to sin by anything so loathsome!	35 Hanno anche costruito le alture di Baal che sono nella Valle Ben-Innòm per far passare attraverso il fuoco i loro figli e le loro figlie in onore di Moloch, ciò che non ordinai, né mi è venuto in mente che praticassero tale infamia, per condurre Giuda a peccare.
36 "So now, this is what Yahweh, God of Israel, says about this city of which you now say: By means ofsword, famine and plague, it is already within the king of Babylon's clutches:	36 Ma ora così dice il Signore, Dio d'Israele, circa questa città di cui voi dite: "E' stata consegnata in potere del re di Babilonia con la spada, con la fame e con la peste",
37 Look, I shall gather them in from al the countries where I have driven them in my anger, my fury andgreat wrath. I shal bring them back to this place and make them live in safety.	37 ecco: io li radunerò da tutti i paesi dove li ho dispersi nella mia ira, nel mio furore e nel mio sdegno grande, li ricondurrò in questo luogo e li farò abitare nella sicurezza.
38 Then they will be my people, and I shall be their God.	38 Essi saranno per me il mio popolo mentre io sarò per loro il loro Dio.
39 I shal give them singleness of heart and singleness of conduct so that they wil always fear me, fortheir own good and that of their children after them.	39 Allora darò loro un altro cuore e un'altra norma perché mi temano ogni giorno per il bene loro e dei loro figli dopo di loro.
40 I shal make an everlasting covenant with them, never to cease in my efforts for their welfare, and Ishall put respect for me in their hearts, so that they wil never turn away from me again.	40 Farò anche un'alleanza eterna con loro, quella di non ritirarmi più da loro, facendo loro del bene: metterò anche il mio timore nel loro cuore affinché non si allontanino più da me.
41 My joy wil lie in them and in doing them good, and I shal plant them firmly in this country, with al myheart and soul.	41 Io gioirò di loro beneficandoli e li pianterò in questo paese stabilmente con tutto il mio cuore e con tutta la mia anima.
42 For Yahweh says this: Just as I have brought this complete and total disaster on this people, so I shalbring them al the good things I have promised them.	42 Sì, così dice il Signore: Come ho fatto venire contro questo popolo tutta questa grande sventura, ugualmente io farò venire su di loro ogni bene: quello che ho annunziato in loro favore.
43 Fields wil again be bought in this country of which you now say: It is a wasteland without human oranimal, already in the clutches of the Chaldaeans.	43 Si compreranno ancora campi in questo paese, circa il quale voi andate dicendo: "E' una devastazione, senza uomini e senza bestiame; è stato dato in potere dei Caldei".
44 People wil buy fields, pay money, draw up deeds, seal them and have them witnessed in the territoryof Benjamin, in the districts round Jerusalem, in the towns of Judah, of the highlands, of the lowlands and of theNegeb. For I shal bring back their captives, Yahweh declares." '	44 Si acquisteranno campi con argento e si farà la registrazione nel libro e si sigillerà e si raduneranno testimoni nel territorio di Beniamino, nei dintorni di Gerusalemme e nelle città di Giuda, nelle città della montagna e nelle città della Sefèla e nelle città del Negheb. Sì, io cambierò la loro sorte". Oracolo del Signore.
