Jeremiah 27

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA TINTORI
1 (At the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah son of Josiah, king of Judah, this word came to Jeremiahfrom Yahweh:)	1 Sul cominciar del regno di Ioachim, figlio di Giosia, re di Giuda, fu dal Signore indirizzata la parola a Geremia, in questi termini: Ecco quanto mi dice il Signore:
2 Yahweh said this to me, 'Make yourself thongs and yokes and put them on your neck.	2 « Fatti delle funi e delle catene, e mettile sul tuo collo.
3 Then send them to the king of Edom, the king of Moab, the king of the Ammonites, the king of Tyre,and the king of Sidon, through their envoys accredited to Zedekiah king of Judah in Jerusalem.	3 Poi mandale al re di Edom, al re di Moab, al re dei figli d'Ammon, al re di Tiro e al re di Sidone, per mezzo degli ambasciatori che son venuti in Gerusalemme, a Sedecia re di Giuda.
4 Give them the following message for their masters, "Yahweh Sabaoth, God of Israel, says this: Youmust tel your masters this:	4 E dà loro l'incarico di dire, ai loro padroni: Così parla il Signore degli eserciti, il Dio d'Israele: Ecco quanto do­covete dire ai vostri padroni:
5 I by my great power and outstretched arm made the earth, the human beings and the animals that areon earth, and I give them to whom I please.	5 Io, colla mia gran potenza, col mio braccio steso, feci la terra e gli uomini e le bestie che sono sopra la sua faccia, e la diedi in domi­mnio di chi mi parve.
6 For the present, I have handed al these countries over to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, myservant; I have even put the wild animals at his service.	6 Ed ora io ho date tutte queste regioni in pote­re del mio servo. Nabucodonosor re di Babilonia, e gli ho dato an­sche le bestie dei campi, perché gli servano.
7 (Al the nations will serve him, his son and his grandson, until the time for his own country comes in itsturn, when mighty nations and great kings wil enslave him.)	7 E tutte le nazioni saran soggette a lui, al suo figlio ed ai figli del suo figlio, finché non venga il tempo di lui e del suo re­gno; molte nazioni e grandi re gli serviranno;
8 Any nation or kingdom that will not serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and will not bow its neck tothe yoke of the king of Babylon, I shall punish that nation with sword, famine and plague, Yahweh declares, untilI have destroyed it by his hand.	8 e quella nazione e quel regno che non si sottometterà a Nabucodonosor re di Ba­bilonia, e chiunque non piegherà il suo collo sotto il giogo dei re di Babilonia, quella nazione io la castigherò colla spada, colla fame, colla peste, —dice il Signore —finché non li abbia annientati sot­to la sua potenza.
9 For your own part, do not listen to your prophets, your diviners, dreamers, magicians and sorcerers,who tel you: You wil not be enslaved by the king of Babylon.	9 Voi dunque non date retta ai vostri profeti, indovini, sognatori, auguri, maghi che vi dicono: Voi non ser­virete al re di Babilonia;
10 They prophesy lies to you, the result of which wil be that you wil be banished from your soil, that Ishall drive you out, and you will perish.	10 per­chè vi profetizzan menzogne, per farvi andare lungi dalla vostra terra, per discacciarvi e farvi pe­rire.
11 The nation, however, that is prepared to bend its neck to the yoke of the king of Babylon and servehim, I shal leave in peace on its own soil, Yahweh declares, to farm it and stay on it." '	11 Quella nazione che pieghe­rà il collo sotto il giogo del re di Babilonia e gli si assoggetterà, io la lascerò in pace nella sua ter­ra — dice il Signore — e la coltiverà, e vi abiterà ».
12 To Zedekiah king of Judah I spoke in exactly the same terms. 'Bend your necks', I told him, 'to theyoke of the king of Babylon; serve him and his people and you wil survive.	12 E anche a Sedecia re di Giuda annunziai tutte queste medesime cose, dicendo: « Piegate il vostro collo sotto il giogo del re di Ba­bilonia, assoggettatevi a lui e al suo popolo, e vivrete.
13 (Why so anxious to die, you and your people, by sword, famine and plague, with which Yahweh hasthreatened the nation refusing to serve the king of Babylon?)	13 Perché tu e il tuo popolo volete morire di spada, di fame, di peste, come ha predetto il Signore alla nazione che non vorrà servire al re di Babilonia?
14 Do not listen to the words the prophets say to you, "You will not be enslaved by the king of Babylon."They prophesy lies to you.	14 Non state a sentire le parole di quei profeti che vi dicono: Voi non servirete al re di Babilonia, perchè vi spacciali menzogne.
15 Since I have not sent them, Yahweh declares, they prophesy untruths to you in my name. The resultwil be that I shal drive you out, you wil perish, and so wil the prophets who prophesy to you.'	15 Infatti io non li o mandati — dice il Signore — ed essi in nome mio profetizzano menzogne, per farvi cacciare e perire, tanto voi che i profeti, i quali vi predicono il futuro ».
16 I also spoke to the priests and to al this people as fol ows, 'Yahweh says this, "Do not listen to thewords of your prophets who prophesy to you as fol ows: Look, the vessels of the Temple of Yahweh wil veryshortly be brought back from Babylon. They prophesy lies to you.	16 E parlai ai sacerdoti e a questo popolo, dicendo: « Così parla il Signore: Non state a sentire le parole dei vostri profeti che vi profetizzano dicendo: — Ecco che fra poco i vasi del Signore torneranno da Babilonia. Essi vi profetizzano menzogne.
17 (Do not listen to them; serve the king of Babylon and you wil survive. Why should this city become aruin?)	17 Dunque non li state a sentire, ma assoggettatevi al re di Babilonia, per aver salva la vita. Perche mai questa città deve esser ridotta a un deserto?
18 If they are real prophets, if Yahweh's word is real y with them, they ought now to be pleading withYahweh Sabaoth that the remaining vessels in the Temple of Yahweh, in the palace of the king of Judah andelsewhere in Jerusalem, do not go to Babylon too!	18 E se son profeti, e se possiedono la parola dei Signore, s'interpongano presso il Signore degli eserciti, affinché i vasi che sono stati lasciati nella casa del Signore, nella casa del re di Giuda e in Gerusalemme, non vadano a Babilonia.
19 For this is what Yahweh Sabaoth says about (the pil ars, the Sea, the stands and) the other vesselsstill remaining in this city,	19 Perchè ecco quanto dice il Signore degli eserciti riguardo alle colonne, al mare, alle basi e agli altri vasi che son rimasti in questa citta
20 those not carried off by Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon when he took Jeconiah son of Jehoiakim,king of Judah, into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon (with al the leading men of Judah and Jerusalem).	20 e che Nabucodonosor re di Babilonia non portò via, quando deportò Geconia, figlio di Ioachim, re di Giuda, e tutti i principali di Giuda e di Gerusalemme da Gerusalemme in Babilonia;
21 Yes, this is what Yahweh Sabaoth, God of Israel, says about the vessels stil remaining in the Templeof Yahweh, in the palace of the king of Judah and elsewhere in Jerusalem:	21 Ecco quanto dice il Signore degli eserciti, il Dio d'Israele, riguardo ai vasi rimasti nella casa del Signore, nella casa del re di Giuda e in Gerusalemme:
22 They wil be carried off to Babylon (and stay there until the day I punish them), Yahweh declares.(Then I shal bring them back and restore them to this place.)" '	22 « Saran trasportati a Babilonia, vi staranno fino al giorno della loro visita — dice il Signore — e io li farò riportare e restituire a questo luogo ».
