Proverbs 31

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA
1 The sayings of Lemuel king of Massa, taught him by his mother:	1 Parole di Lemuèl, re di Massa, che sua madre gli insegnò.
2 What, my son! What, son of my womb! What, son of my vows!	2 E che, figlio mio! E che, figlio delle mie viscere! E che, figlio dei miei voti!
3 Do not expend your energy on women nor your wealth on those who ruin kings.	3 Non dare il tuo vigore alle donne, né i tuoi costumi a quelle che corrompono i re.
4 Not for kings, O Lemuel, not for kings the drinking of wine, not for princes the love of liquor,	4 Non conviene ai re, Lemuèl, non conviene ai re bere il vino, né ai principi bramare bevande inebrianti,
5 for fear that in liquor they forget what they have decreed and pervert the course of justice against allthe poor.	5 per paura che, bevendo, dimentichino i loro decreti e tradiscano il diritto di tutti gli afflitti.

30 Charm is deceitful, and beauty empty; the woman who fears Yahweh is the one to praise.	30 (Sin) Fallace è la grazia e vana è la bellezza, ma la donna che teme Dio è da lodare.
31 Give her a share in what her hands have worked for, and let her works tel her praises at the citygates.	31 (Tau) Datele del frutto delle sue mani e le sue stesse opere la lodino alle porte della città.
