2 Thessalonians 1

1 Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy to the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:	1 - Paolo e Silvano e Timoteo alla Chiesa dei Tessalonicesi in Dio Padre nostro e nel Signore Gesù Cristo,
2 grace to you and peace from God (our) Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.	2 grazia a voi e pace da Dio Padre e dal Signore Gesù Cristo.
3 We ought to thank God always for you, brothers, as is fitting, because your faith flourishes ever more, and the love of every one of you for one another grows ever greater.	3 Noi dobbiamo sempre ringraziar Dio per voi, o fratelli, com'è degno, perchè cresce la vostra fede e s'aumenta l'amore di ognuno di voi verso gli altri;
4 Accordingly, we ourselves boast of you in the churches of God regarding your endurance and faith in all your persecutions and the afflictions you endure.	4 tanto che noi stessi ci gloriamo di voi nelle chiese di Dio a motivo della vostra costanza e fede in tutte le vostre persecuzioni e afflizioni che dovete sopportare;
5 This is evidence of the just judgment of God, so that you may be considered worthy of the kingdom of God for which you are suffering.	5 indizio del giusto giudizio di Dio, a fine che siate ritenuti degni del regno di Dio, per il quale anche soffrite;
6 For it is surely just on God's part to repay with afflictions those who are afflicting you,	6 essendo pur giusto presso Dio il ricambiare tribolazioni a quei che fan tribolar voi,
7 and to grant rest along with us to you who are undergoing afflictions, at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his mighty angels,	7 e che a voi tribolati sia data requie con noi; ciò nel rivelarsi che farà il Signor Gesù dal cielo coi potenti angeli suoi,
8 in blazing fire, inflicting punishment on those who do not acknowledge God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.	8 in un incendio di fiamme, facendo vendetta di coloro che non conoscono Iddio e non ubbidiscono al Vangelo del Signor nostro Gesù;
9 These will pay the penalty of eternal ruin, separated from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his power,	9 i quali saranno puniti d'eterna perdizione, lungi dalla faccia del Signore e dalla gloria della sua potenza;
10 when he comes to be glorified among his holy ones and to be marveled at on that day among all who have believed, for our testimony to you was believed.	10 in quel giorno quando Egli verrà per essere glorificato in mezzo a' suoi santi e ad essere ammirato fra tutti quelli che hanno creduto, poichè anche presso voi ha trovato fede la nostra testimonianza.
11 To this end, we always pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling and powerfully bring to fulfillment every good purpose and every effort of faith,	11 Al qual fine noi preghiamo anche sempre per voi, onde il nostro Dio vi faccia degni della sua chiamata, e compia efficacemente tutta la volontà sua buona, e l'opera della fede,
12 that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, in accord with the grace of our God and Lord Jesus Christ.	12 affinchè sia glorificato il nome del Signor nostro Gesù Cristo fra voi e voi in lui, secondo la grazia del Dio nostro e del Signore Gesù Cristo.
