Corinthians 5

NEW AMERICAN BIBLEKING JAMES BIBLE
It is widely reported that there is immorality among you, and immorality of a kind not found even among pagans--a man living with his father's wife.1 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.
And you are inflated with pride. Should you not rather have been sorrowful? The one who did this deed should be expelled from your midst.2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.
I, for my part, although absent in body but present in spirit, have already, as if present, pronounced judgment on the one who has committed this deed,3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,
in the name of (our) Lord Jesus: when you have gathered together and I am with you in spirit with the power of the Lord Jesus,4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
you are to deliver this man to Satan for the destruction of his flesh, so that his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord.5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
Your boasting is not appropriate. Do you not know that a little yeast leavens all the dough?6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?
Clear out the old yeast, so that you may become a fresh batch of dough, inasmuch as you are unleavened. For our paschal lamb, Christ, has been sacrificed.7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
Therefore let us celebrate the feast, not with the old yeast, the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
I wrote you in my letter not to associate with immoral people,9 I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:
not at all referring to the immoral of this world or the greedy and robbers or idolaters; for you would then have to leave the world.10 Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.
But I now write to you not to associate with anyone named a brother, if he is immoral, greedy, an idolater, a slanderer, a drunkard, or a robber, not even to eat with such a person.11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
For why should I be judging outsiders? Is it not your business to judge those within?12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?
God will judge those outside. "Purge the evil person from your midst."13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.
