Luke 13

1 At that time some people who were present there told him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with the blood of their sacrifices.	1 Éppen abban az időben voltak ott néhányan, akik hírt hoztak neki azokról a galileaiakról, akiknek a vérét Pilátus az áldozatukéval vegyítette.
2 He said to them in reply, "Do you think that because these Galileans suffered in this way they were greater sinners than all other Galileans?	2 Ő ezt felelte nekik: »Azt hiszitek, hogy ezek a galileaiak bűnösebbek voltak a többi galileainál, mivel mindezt elszenvedték?
3 By no means! But I tell you, if you do not repent, you will all perish as they did!	3 Mondom nektek: Nem! De ha nem tartotok bűnbánatot, mindnyájan ugyanígy elvesztek.
4 Or those eighteen people who were killed when the tower at Siloam fell on them --do you think they were more guilty than everyone else who lived in Jerusalem?	4 Vagy az a tizennyolc, akire Síloében rádőlt a torony, és megölte őket? Azt hiszitek, hogy vétkesebbek voltak minden más embernél, aki Jeruzsálemben lakik?
5 By no means! But I tell you, if you do not repent, you will all perish as they did!"	5 Mondom nektek: Nem! De ha nem tartotok bűnbánatot, mindnyájan ugyanígy elvesztek.«
6 And he told them this parable: "There once was a person who had a fig tree planted in his orchard, and when he came in search of fruit on it but found none,	6 Aztán ezt a példabeszédet mondta: »Egy embernek volt egy fügefa a szőlőjében. Kiment, gyümölcsöt keresett rajta, de nem talált.
7 he said to the gardener, 'For three years now I have come in search of fruit on this fig tree but have found none. (So) cut it down. Why should it exhaust the soil?'	7 Ezért így szólt az intézőjéhez: ‘Íme, három esztendeje, hogy ide járok, gyümölcsöt keresek ezen a fügefán, de nem találok. Vágd ki, miért foglalja hiába a földet?’
8 He said to him in reply, 'Sir, leave it for this year also, and I shall cultivate the ground around it and fertilize it;	8 De az így felelt neki: ‘Uram! Hagyd meg még ebben az évben, amíg körülásom és megtrágyázom,
9 it may bear fruit in the future. If not you can cut it down.'"	9 hátha gyümölcsöt hoz jövőre; ha pedig nem, akkor vágd ki.’«
10 He was teaching in a synagogue on the sabbath.	10 Egyszer valamelyik zsinagógában tanított szombaton.
11 And a woman was there who for eighteen years had been crippled by a spirit; she was bent over, completely incapable of standing erect.	11 És íme, volt ott egy asszony, akiben tizennyolc éve lakott a betegség lelke. Annyira meggörnyedt, hogy egyáltalán nem tudott felegyenesedni.
12 When Jesus saw her, he called to her and said, "Woman, you are set free of your infirmity."	12 Amikor Jézus meglátta, odahívta, és azt mondta neki: »Asszony! Megszabadultál betegségedtől.«
13 He laid his hands on her, and she at once stood up straight and glorified God.	13 Rátette a kezét, mire az rögtön felegyenesedett, és dicsőítette Istent.
14 But the leader of the synagogue, indignant that Jesus had cured on the sabbath, said to the crowd in reply, "There are six days when work should be done. Come on those days to be cured, not on the sabbath day."	14 Ekkor megszólalt a zsinagóga elöljárója. Azon méltatlankodva, hogy Jézus szombaton gyógyított, ezt mondta a tömegnek: »Hat nap van, amikor dolgozni kell; azokon jöjjetek hát és gyógyíttassátok magatokat, ne pedig szombaton!«
15 The Lord said to him in reply, "Hypocrites! Does not each one of you on the sabbath untie his ox or his ass from the manger and lead it out for watering?	15 Az Úr ezt felelte neki: »Képmutatók! Nem oldja-e el mindegyiktek szombaton az ökrét vagy a szamarát a jászoltól, és nem viszi-e itatni?
16 This daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound for eighteen years now, ought she not to have been set free on the sabbath day from this bondage?"	16 Ábrahámnak ezt a leányát pedig, akit immár tizennyolc éve megkötözve tart a sátán, nem kellett-e szombaton föloldani ettől a köteléktől?«
17 When he said this, all his adversaries were humiliated; and the whole crowd rejoiced at all the splendid deeds done by him.	17 Amint ezt elmondta, megszégyenült minden ellenfele, s az egész nép örvendezett a csodás dolgokon, amiket cselekedett.
18 Then he said, "What is the kingdom of God like? To what can I compare it?	18 Akkor így szólt: »Mihez hasonló az Isten országa, mihez hasonlítsam?
19 It is like a mustard seed that a person took and planted in the garden. When it was fully grown, it became a large bush and 'the birds of the sky dwelt in its branches.'"	19 Hasonló a mustármaghoz, amelyet egy ember fogott, és elvetett a kertjében. Azután felnövekedett és fává lett, úgyhogy az égi madarak az ágai közt fészkeltek« .
20 Again he said, "To what shall I compare the kingdom of God?	20 Aztán így folytatta: »Mihez hasonlítsam Isten országát?
21 It is like yeast that a woman took and mixed (in) with three measures of wheat flour until the whole batch of dough was leavened."	21 Hasonló a kovászhoz, amelyet fogott az asszony, belekeverte három mérő lisztbe, amíg az egész meg nem kelt.«
22 He passed through towns and villages, teaching as he went and making his way to Jerusalem.	22 Ezután bejárta a városokat és falvakat, és tanított, Jeruzsálem felé haladva.
23 Someone asked him, "Lord, will only a few people be saved?" He answered them,	23 Közben valaki megkérdezte tőle: »Uram! Kevesen vannak-e, akik üdvözülnek?« Ő ezt felelte nekik:
24 "Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I tell you, will attempt to enter but will not be strong enough.	24 »Igyekezzetek a szűk kapun bemenni, mert mondom nektek: sokan akarnak majd bemenni, de nem tudnak.
25 After the master of the house has arisen and locked the door, then will you stand outside knocking and saying, 'Lord, open the door for us.' He will say to you in reply, 'I do not know where you are from.'	25 Amikor a családapa már felkel és bezárja az ajtót, ti kívül állva zörgetni kezdtek az ajtón, és azt mondjátok: ‘Uram! Nyisd ki nekünk!’ Ő ezt feleli majd nektek: ‘Nem tudom, honnan valók vagytok.’
26 And you will say, 'We ate and drank in your company and you taught in our streets.'	26 Akkor ti ezt kezditek majd mondogatni: ‘Előtted ettünk és ittunk, és a mi utcáinkon tanítottál.’
27 Then he will say to you, 'I do not know where (you) are from. Depart from me, all you evildoers!'	27 Ő erre azt feleli nektek: ‘Nem ismerlek titeket, hogy honnan valók vagytok! Távozzatok tőlem mindnyájan, ti gonosztevők!’
28 And there will be wailing and grinding of teeth when you see Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God and you yourselves cast out.	28 Lesz majd sírás és fogcsikorgatás, amikor látni fogjátok Ábrahámot, Izsákot és Jákobot és az összes prófétát Isten országában, magatokat pedig kirekesztve.
29 And people will come from the east and the west and from the north and the south and will recline at table in the kingdom of God.	29 Jönnek majd napkeletről és napnyugatról, északról és délről, és letelepszenek az Isten országában.
30 For behold, some are last who will be first, and some are first who will be last."	30 Mert íme, vannak utolsók, akikből elsők lesznek, és vannak elsők, akikből utolsók lesznek.«
31 At that time some Pharisees came to him and said, "Go away, leave this area because Herod wants to kill you."	31 Még abban az órában odajött hozzá néhány farizeus, és azt mondta neki: »Menj el, távozz innen, mert Heródes meg akar ölni.«
32 He replied, "Go and tell that fox, 'Behold, I cast out demons and I perform healings today and tomorrow, and on the third day I accomplish my purpose.	32 Ő azt mondta nekik: »Menjetek, mondjátok meg annak a rókának: Íme, ördögöket űzök és gyógyítok, ma és holnap, és harmadnap befejezem.
33 Yet I must continue on my way today, tomorrow, and the following day, for it is impossible that a prophet should die outside of Jerusalem.'	33 De ma, holnap és a következő napon úton kell lennem; mert nem lehet, hogy próféta Jeruzsálemen kívül vesszen el.
34 "Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how many times I yearned to gather your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but you were unwilling!	34 Jeruzsálem, Jeruzsálem! Te megölöd a prófétákat, és megkövezed azokat, akiket hozzád küldtek! Hányszor akartam egybegyűjteni fiaidat, mint a tyúk a csibéit a szárnyai alá, de ti nem akartátok.
35 Behold, your house will be abandoned. (But) I tell you, you will not see me until (the time comes when) you say, 'Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.'"	35 Íme, elhagyatott lesz a házatok. Mondom nektek, nem láttok engem, amíg el nem jön az idő, amikor majd ezt mondjátok: ‘Áldott, aki az Úr nevében jön’« .
