1 The LORD said to Moses:	1 Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen, dicens :
2 "Speak to the Israelites and tell them: When a man (or a woman) solemnly takes the nazirite vow to dedicate himself to the LORD,	2 Loquere ad filios Israël, et dices ad eos : Vir, sive mulier, cum fecerint votum ut sanctificentur, et se voluerint Domino consecrare :
3 he shall abstain from wine and strong drink; he may neither drink wine vinegar, other vinegar, of any kind of grape juice, nor eat either fresh or dried grapes.	3 a vino, et omni quod inebriare potest, abstinebunt. Acetum ex vino, et ex qualibet alia potione, et quidquid de uva exprimitur, non bibent : uvas recentes siccasque non comedent
4 As long as he is a nazirite he shall not eat anything of the produce of the vine; not even unripe grapes or grapeskins.	4 cunctis diebus quibus ex voto Domino consecrantur : quidquid ex vinea esse potest, ab uva passa usque ad acinum non comedent.
5 While he is under the nazirite vow, no razor shall touch his hair. Until the period of his dedication to the LORD is over, he shall be sacred, and shall let the hair of his head grow freely.	5 Omni tempore separationis suæ novacula non transibit per caput ejus usque ad completum diem, quo Domino consecratur. Sanctus erit, crescente cæsarie capitis ejus.
6 As long as he is dedicated to the LORD, he shall not enter where a dead person is.	6 Omni tempore consecrationis suæ, super mortuum non ingredietur,
7 Not even for his father or mother, his sister or brother, should they die, may he become unclean, since his head bears his dedication to God.	7 nec super patris quidem et matris et fratris sororisque funere contaminabitur, quia consecratio Dei sui super caput ejus est.
8 As long as he is a nazirite he is sacred to the LORD.	8 Omnibus diebus separationis suæ sanctus erit Domino.
9 "If someone dies very suddenly in his presence, so that his dedicated head becomes unclean, he shall shave his head on the day of his purification, that is, on the seventh day.	9 Sin autem mortuus fuerit subito quispiam coram eo, polluetur caput consecrationis ejus : quod radet illico in eadem die purgationis suæ, et rursum septima.
10 On the eighth day he shall bring two turtledoves or two pigeons to the priest at the entrance of the meeting tent.	10 In octava autem die offeret duos turtures, vel duos pullos columbæ sacerdoti in introitu fœderis testimonii.
11 The priest shall offer up the one as a sin offering and the other as a holocaust, thus making atonement for him for the sin he has committed by reason of the dead person. On the same day he shall reconsecrate his head	11 Facietque sacerdos unum pro peccato, et alterum in holocaustum, et deprecabitur pro eo, quia peccavit super mortuo : sanctificabitque caput ejus in die illo :
12 and begin anew the period of his dedication to the LORD as a nazirite, bringing a yearling lamb as a guilt offering. The previous period is not valid, because his dedicated head became unclean.	12 et consecrabit Domino dies separationis illius, offerens agnum anniculum pro peccato : ita tamen ut dies priores irriti fiant, quoniam polluta est sanctificatio ejus.
13 "This is the ritual for the nazirite: On the day he completes the period of his dedication he shall go to the entrance of the meeting tent,	13 Ista est lex consecrationis. Cum dies, quos ex voto decreverat, complebuntur, adducet eum ad ostium tabernaculi fœderis,
14 bringing as his offering to the LORD one unblemished yearling lamb for a holocaust, one unblemished yearling ewe lamb for a sin offering, one unblemished ram as a peace offering, along with their cereal offerings and libations,	14 et offeret oblationes ejus Domino, agnum anniculum immaculatum in holocaustum, et ovem anniculam immaculatam pro peccato, et arietem immaculatum, hostiam pacificam,
15 and a basket of unleavened cakes of fine flour mixed with oil and of unleavened wafers spread with oil.	15 canistrum quoque panum azymorum qui conspersi sint oleo, et lagana absque fermento uncta oleo, ac libamina singulorum :
16 The priest shall present them before the LORD, and shall offer up the sin offering and the holocaust for him.	16 quæ offeret sacerdos coram Domino, et faciet tam pro peccato, quam in holocaustum.
17 He shall then offer up the ram as a peace offering to the LORD, with its cereal offering and libation, and the basket of unleavened cakes.	17 Arietem vero immolabit hostiam pacificam Domino, offerens simul canistrum azymorum, et libamenta quæ ex more debentur.
18 Then at the entrance of the meeting tent the nazirite shall shave his dedicated head, collect the hair, and put it in the fire that is under the peace offering.	18 Tunc radetur nazaræus ante ostium tabernaculi fœderis cæsarie consecrationis suæ : tolletque capillos ejus, et ponet super ignem, qui est suppositus sacrificio pacificorum :
19 After the nazirite has shaved off his dedicated hair, the priest shall take a boiled shoulder of the ram, as well as one unleavened cake and one unleavened wafer from the basket, and shall place them in the hands of the nazirite.	19 et armum coctum arietis, tortamque absque fermento unam de canistro, et laganum azymum unum, et tradet in manus nazaræi, postquam rasum fuerit caput ejus.
20 The priest shall then wave them as a wave offering before the LORD. They become sacred and shall belong to the priest, along with the breast of the wave offering and the leg of the raised offering. Only after this may the nazirite drink wine.	20 Susceptaque rursum ab eo, elevabit in conspectu Domini : et sanctificata sacerdotis erunt, sicut pectusculum, quod separari jussum est, et femur. Post hæc, potest bibere nazaræus vinum.
21 "This, then, is the law for the nazirite; this is the offering to the LORD which is included in his vow of dedication apart from anything else which his means may allow. Thus shall he carry out the law of his dedication in keeping with the vow he has taken."	21 Ista est lex nazaræi, cum voverit oblationem suam Domino tempore consecrationis suæ, exceptis his, quæ invenerit manus ejus : juxta quod mente devoverat, ita faciet ad perfectionem sanctificationis suæ.
22 The LORD said to Moses:	22 Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen, dicens :
23 "Speak to Aaron and his sons and tell them: This is how you shall bless the Israelites. Say to them:	23 Loquere Aaron et filiis ejus : Sic benedicetis filiis Israël, et dicetis eis :
24 The LORD bless you and keep you!	24 Benedicat tibi Dominus, et custodiat te.
25 The LORD let his face shine upon you, and be gracious to you!	25 Ostendat Dominus faciem suam tibi, et misereatur tui.
26 The LORD look upon you kindly and give you peace!	26 Convertat Dominus vultum suum ad te, et det tibi pacem.
27 So shall they invoke my name upon the Israelites, and I will bless them."	27 Invocabuntque nomen meum super filios Israël, et ego benedicam eis.
