1 The LORD said to Moses:	1 Yahvé dit à Moïse:
2 "Speak to the Israelites and tell them: When a man (or a woman) solemnly takes the nazirite vow to dedicate himself to the LORD,	2 “Voici ce que tu diras aux Israélites: Quand un homme, ou une femme, voudra se consacrer à Yahvé par le vœu de naziréat,
3 he shall abstain from wine and strong drink; he may neither drink wine vinegar, other vinegar, of any kind of grape juice, nor eat either fresh or dried grapes.	3 il s’abstiendra de vin et de boisson fermentée, il ne boira pas de vinaigre de vin, ni de toute autre sorte de vinaigre. Il ne boira pas de jus de raisin, il ne mangera ni raisin frais ni raisin sec.
4 As long as he is a nazirite he shall not eat anything of the produce of the vine; not even unripe grapes or grapeskins.	4 Tout le temps que durera son naziréat, il ne mangera rien de tout ce qui vient de la vigne, depuis les pépins jusqu’à la peau.
5 While he is under the nazirite vow, no razor shall touch his hair. Until the period of his dedication to the LORD is over, he shall be sacred, and shall let the hair of his head grow freely.	5 Tout le temps que durera sa consécration, il ne se rasera pas la tête; jusqu’au jour où s’achèvera le temps de sa consécration, il sera consacré et laissera pousser librement ses cheveux.
6 As long as he is dedicated to the LORD, he shall not enter where a dead person is.	6 Durant tout le temps de sa consécration à Yahvé, il ne s’approchera pas d’un mort,
7 Not even for his father or mother, his sister or brother, should they die, may he become unclean, since his head bears his dedication to God.	7 que ce soit même son père, sa mère, son frère ou sa sœur. En un mot, il ne se rendra pas impur si ceux-ci viennent à mourir, car il porte sur sa tête la consécration de son Dieu.
8 As long as he is a nazirite he is sacred to the LORD.	8 Tout le temps de son naziréat, il est consacré à Yahvé.
9 "If someone dies very suddenly in his presence, so that his dedicated head becomes unclean, he shall shave his head on the day of his purification, that is, on the seventh day.	9 Si quelqu’un tombe mort subitement à côté de lui et rend ainsi impure sa tête consacrée, il se rasera la tête le jour-même où il se purifiera, et il la rasera encore au septième jour.
10 On the eighth day he shall bring two turtledoves or two pigeons to the priest at the entrance of the meeting tent.	10 Le huitième jour il apportera au prêtre deux tourterelles ou deux jeunes pigeons à l’entrée de la Tente du Rendez-Vous.
11 The priest shall offer up the one as a sin offering and the other as a holocaust, thus making atonement for him for the sin he has committed by reason of the dead person. On the same day he shall reconsecrate his head	11 Le prêtre offrira le premier en sacrifice pour le péché et le second en holocauste, et c’est ainsi qu’il fera le rite de l’expiation pour l’impureté que cet homme a contractée à cause du mort. Ce jour-là le nazir consacrera de nouveau sa tête,
12 and begin anew the period of his dedication to the LORD as a nazirite, bringing a yearling lamb as a guilt offering. The previous period is not valid, because his dedicated head became unclean.	12 il se consacrera à Yahvé pour toute la durée de son vœu de nazir, en offrant un agneau d’un an, en sacrifice de réparation. Les jours précédents ne seront pas comptés puisque son vœu de nazir a été interrompu.
13 "This is the ritual for the nazirite: On the day he completes the period of his dedication he shall go to the entrance of the meeting tent,	13 Voilà la loi concernant les nazirs. Le jour où le nazir aura accompli le temps de sa consécration, on le fera venir à l’entrée de la Tente du Rendez-Vous.
14 bringing as his offering to the LORD one unblemished yearling lamb for a holocaust, one unblemished yearling ewe lamb for a sin offering, one unblemished ram as a peace offering, along with their cereal offerings and libations,	14 Là il offrira à Yahvé un agneau d’un an sans défaut pour l’holocauste, une brebis d’un an sans défaut pour le péché, un bélier sans défaut pour le sacrifice de communion.
15 and a basket of unleavened cakes of fine flour mixed with oil and of unleavened wafers spread with oil.	15 Il apportera aussi une corbeille de pain sans levain, des gâteaux de fleur de farine pétris dans l’huile, et des galettes sans levain arrosées d’huile, avec l’offrande et les libations habituelles.
16 The priest shall present them before the LORD, and shall offer up the sin offering and the holocaust for him.	16 Le prêtre les présentera devant Yahvé et offrira le sacrifice pour le péché, ainsi que l’holocauste.
17 He shall then offer up the ram as a peace offering to the LORD, with its cereal offering and libation, and the basket of unleavened cakes.	17 Il offrira à Yahvé le bélier du sacrifice de communion à Yahvé avec la corbeille des pains sans levain, puis il fera l’offrande et la libation.
18 Then at the entrance of the meeting tent the nazirite shall shave his dedicated head, collect the hair, and put it in the fire that is under the peace offering.	18 Alors le nazir se rasera à l’entrée de la Tente du Rendez-Vous; prenant sa chevelure consacrée, il la déposera sur le feu où brûle la victime du sacrifice de communion.
19 After the nazirite has shaved off his dedicated hair, the priest shall take a boiled shoulder of the ram, as well as one unleavened cake and one unleavened wafer from the basket, and shall place them in the hands of the nazirite.	19 Le prêtre prendra l’épaule du bélier lorsqu’elle sera cuite; il prendra également un gâteau sans levain dans la corbeille, une galette sans levain, il les déposera dans les mains du nazir, après que celui-ci aura rasé sa tête consacrée.
20 The priest shall then wave them as a wave offering before the LORD. They become sacred and shall belong to the priest, along with the breast of the wave offering and the leg of the raised offering. Only after this may the nazirite drink wine.	20 Le prêtre les balancera devant Yahvé; cette part consacrée reviendra au prêtre en plus de la poitrine qui a été balancée et du gigot que l’on a déjà mis à part. Après cela, le nazir pourra boire du vin.
21 "This, then, is the law for the nazirite; this is the offering to the LORD which is included in his vow of dedication apart from anything else which his means may allow. Thus shall he carry out the law of his dedication in keeping with the vow he has taken."	21 Voilà la loi relative au nazir lorsqu’il paye son vœu à Yahvé à l’occasion de son naziréat, en plus de ce qu’il peut faire par ailleurs. La loi des nazirs lui demande d’accomplir les vœux qu’il a faits.”
22 The LORD said to Moses:	22 Yahvé dit encore à Moïse,
23 "Speak to Aaron and his sons and tell them: This is how you shall bless the Israelites. Say to them:	23 pour qu’il le répète à Aaron et à ses fils: “Voici comment vous bénirez les fils d’Israël. Vous direz:
24 The LORD bless you and keep you!	24 ‘Que Yahvé te bénisse et te garde!
25 The LORD let his face shine upon you, and be gracious to you!	25 Que Yahvé fasse briller sur toi son visage, qu’il te prenne en grâce!
26 The LORD look upon you kindly and give you peace!	26 Que Yahvé tourne vers toi son visage et te donne la paix!’
27 So shall they invoke my name upon the Israelites, and I will bless them."	27 C’est ainsi qu’ils mettront mon Nom sur les fils d’Israël, et moi, je les bénirai.”
