1 Hear this word, O men of Israel, that the LORD pronounces over you, over the whole family that I brought up from the land of Egypt:	1 Слушайте слово сие, которое Господь изрек на вас, сыны Израилевы, на все племя, которое вывел Я из земли Египетской, говоря:
2 You alone have I favored, more than all the families of the earth; Therefore I will punish you for all your crimes.	2 только вас признал Я из всех племен земли, потому и взыщу с вас за все беззакония ваши.
3 Do two walk together unless they have agreed?	3 Пойдут ли двое вместе, не сговорившись между собою?
4 Does a lion roar in the forest when it has no prey? Does a young lion cry out from its den unless it has seized something?	4 Ревет ли лев в лесу, когда нет перед ним добычи? подает ли свой голос львенок из логовища своего, когда он ничего не поймал?
5 Is a bird brought to earth by a snare when there is no lure for it? Does a snare spring up from the ground without catching anything?	5 Попадет ли птица в петлю на земле, когда силка нет для нее? Поднимется ли с земли петля, когда ничего не попало в нее?
6 If the trumpet sounds in a city, will the people not be frightened? If evil befalls a city, has not the LORD caused it?	6 Трубит ли в городе труба, --и народ не испугался бы? Бывает ли в городе бедствие, которое не Господь попустил бы?
7 Indeed, the Lord GOD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants, the prophets.	7 Ибо Господь Бог ничего не делает, не открыв Своей тайны рабам Своим, пророкам.
8 The lion roars-- who will not be afraid! The Lord GOD speaks-- who will not prophesy!	8 Лев начал рыкать, --кто не содрогнется? Господь Бог сказал, --кто не будет пророчествовать?
9 Proclaim this in the castles of Ashdod, in the castles of the land of Egypt: "Gather about the mountain of Samaria, and see the great disorders within her, the oppression in her midst."	9 Провозгласите на кровлях в Азоте и на кровлях в земле Египетской и скажите: соберитесь на горы Самарии и посмотрите на великое бесчинство в ней и на притеснения среди нее.
10 For they know not how to do what is right, says the LORD, Storing up in their castles what they have extorted and robbed.	10 Они не умеют поступать справедливо, говорит Господь: насилием и грабежом собирают сокровища в чертоги свои.
11 Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD: An enemy shall surround the land, and strip you of your strength, and pillage your castles,	11 Посему так говорит Господь Бог: вот неприятель, и притом вокруг всей земли! он низложит могущество твое, и ограблены будут чертоги твои.
12 Thus says the LORD: As the shepherd snatches from the mouth of the lion a pair of legs or the tip of an ear of his sheep, So the Israelites who dwell in Samaria shall escape with the corner of a couch or a piece of a cot.	12 Так говорит Господь: как [иногда] пастух исторгает из пасти львиной две голени или часть уха, так спасены будут сыны Израилевы, сидящие в Самарии в углу постели и в Дамаске на ложе.
13 Hear and bear witness against the house of Jacob, says the Lord GOD, the God of hosts:	13 Слушайте и засвидетельствуйте дому Иакова, говорит Господь Бог, Бог Саваоф.
14 On the day when I punish Israel for his crimes, I will visit also the altars of Bethel: The horns of the altar shall be broken off and fall to the ground.	14 Ибо в тот день, когда Я взыщу с Израиля за преступления его, взыщу и за жертвенники в Вефиле, и отсечены будут роги алтаря, и падут на землю.
15 Then will I strike the winter house and the summer house; The ivory apartments shall be ruined, and their many rooms shall be no more, says the LORD.	15 И поражу дом зимний вместе с домом летним, и исчезнут домы с украшениями из слоновой кости, и не станет многих домов, говорит Господь.
