1 On the tenth day of the month beginning the twenty-fifth year of our exile, fourteen years after the city was taken, that very day the hand of the LORD came upon me and brought me	1 Il venticinquesimo anno della nostra deportazione, sul cominciar dell'anno, ai dieci del mese, quattordici anni dopo la rovina della città, in quel medesimo giorno, la mano del Signore fu sopra di me e mi condusse là.
2 in divine visions to the land of Israel, where he set me down on a very high mountain. On it there seemed to be a city being built before me.	2 In visioni divine mi condusse nella terra d'Israele, e mi pose sopra un monte altissimo, sul quale appariva costruita una città volta a mezzogiorno.
3 When he had brought me there, all at once I saw a man whose appearance was that of bronze; he was standing in the gate, holding a linen cord and a measuring rod.	3 Mi fece entrar dentro, ed ecco un uomo che aveva nell'aspetto l'apparenza del bronzo, ed aveva in mano una cordicella di lino e una canna per misurare. Egli stava sulla porta.
4 The man said to me, "Son of man, look carefully and listen intently, and pay strict attention to all that I will show you, for you have been brought here so that I might show it to you. Tell the house of Israel all that you see."	4 Questo medesimo uomo mi disse: « Figlio dell'uomo, mira coi tuoi occhi, ascolta coi tuoi orecchi, ed applica il tuo cuore a tutte le cose che io ti farò vedere, essendo tu condotto qui perchè ti siano mostrate; e tutto quello che vedi annunzialo poi alla casa d'Israele ».
5 (Then I saw an outer wall that completely surrounded the temple. The man was holding a measuring rod six cubits long, each cubit being a cubit and a handbreadth; he measured the width and the height of the structure, each of which were found to be one rod.)	5 Ed ecco che un muro esterno circondava da ogni parte la casa e l'uomo, che aveva in mano una canna della misura di sei cubiti, e un palmo, misurò la larghezza dell'edificio, che era di una canna, e l'altezza, che era pure di una canna.
6 Then he went to the gate which faced the east, climbed its steps, and measured the gate's threshold, which was found to be a rod wide.	6 Poi venne alla porta che guardava la via orientale, ne salì gli scalini, e misurò la soglia della porta, che era una canna in larghezza, cioè ogni soglia era larga una canna.
7 The cells were a rod long and a rod wide, and the pilasters between the cells measured five cubits. 16 Within the gateway on both sides there were splayed windows let into the cells (and into their pilasters); likewise, within the vestibule on both sides there were windows. The pavement was laid all around the court, and the chambers, which were on the pavement, were thirty in number.	17 Poi mi condusse nell'atrio esteriore, e vidi delle camere, e nell'atrio il pavimento era lastricato a pietre tutt'all'intorno e vi erano trenta stanze intorno al pavimento.
18 The pavement lay alongside the gates, as wide as the gates were long; this was the lower pavement.	18 E il pavimento di faccia alle porte era più basso, secondo la lunghezza delle porte.
19 He measured the width of the court from the front of the lower gate to the front of the inner gate; it was one hundred cubits between them. 26 It was ascended by seven steps; its vestibule was toward the inside; and it was decorated with palms here and there on its pilasters.	26 Vi si saliva per sette gradini ed aveva di faccia il vestibolo, e nella sua facciata v'eran di qua e di là delle palme scolpite.

28 Then he brought me to the inner court by the south gate, where he measured the south gate. Its dimensions were the same as the others;	28 Poi mi condusse nell'atrio interiore alla porta del mezzogiorno, e misurò la porta, che aveva le medesime misure come sopra.
29 its cells, its pilasters, and its vestibule were the same size as the others. The gate and its vestibule had windows on both sides; and it was fifty cubits long and twenty-five cubits wide.	29 La sua camera, la sua facciata, il suo vestibolo avevan le medesime misure. 40 Along the wall of the vestibule, but outside, near the entrance of the north gate, were two tables, and on the other side of the vestibule of the gate there were two tables.	40 E dal lato esteriore, che sale all'ingresso della porta che guarda a settentrione, v'eran due tavole, e dall'altro lato, davanti al vestibolo della porta, due tavole.
41 There were four tables on either side of the gate (eight tables), on which the sacrifices were slaughtered.	41 Così ai lati della porta v'eran quattro tavole da una parte e quattro tavole dall'altra, otto tavole sulle quali immolavano.
42 There were four tables for holocausts, made of cut stone, one and a half cubits long, one and a half cubits wide, and one cubit high.	42 V'erano pure quattro tavole per l'olocausto, fatte di pietre quadrate, lunghe un cubito e mezzo, larghe un cubito e mezzo ed alte un cubito, per mettervi sopra i vasi usati nell'immolare l'olocausto e la vittima.
43 The ledges, a handbreadth wide, were set on the inside all around, and on them were laid the instruments with which the holocausts were slaughtered. On the tables themselves the flesh was laid.	43 E avevano tutt'all'intorno delle cornici che si ripiegavano verso la parte interiore, e sopra le tavole eran poste le carni dell'oblazione.
44 He then led me to the inner court where there were two chambers, one beside the north gate, facing south, and the other beside the south gate, facing north.	44 E fuori della porta interiore v'eran le camere dei cantori, nell'atrio interiore che era a lato della porta settentrionale: le loro facciate guardavano una dalla parte del mezzogiorno, l'altra dalla parte della porta orientale che guardava settentrione.
45 He said to me, "This chamber which faces south is for the priests who have charge of the temple,	45 E mi disse: « Questa camera che guarda mezzogiorno sarà pei sacerdoti che vegliano a guardia del tempio;
46 and the chamber which faces north is for the priests who have charge of the altar. These are the Zadokites, the only Levites who may come near to minister to the LORD."	46 invece la camera che guarda a settentrione sarà pei sacerdoti che vegliano al servizio dell'altare: questi sono i figli di Sadoc, i quali, tra i figli di Levi, si avvicinano al Signore per servirlo ».
47 Then he measured the court, which was a hundred cubits long and a hundred cubits wide, a perfect square. The altar stood in front of the temple.	47 Poi misurò l'atrio, che era quadrato, cento cubiti in lunghezza e cento cubiti in larghezza. L'altare era davanti alla facciata del tempio.
48 Then he brought me into the vestibule of the temple and measured the pilasters on each side, which were five cubits. The width of the doorway was fourteen cubits, and the side walls on either side of the door measured three cubits.	48 Poi m'introdusse nel vestibolo del tempio, e misurò il vestibolo, cinque cubiti da un lato e cinque cubiti dall'altro, e la larghezza della porta era di tre cubiti da una parte e di tre cubiti dall'altra.
