1 Now, son of man, prophesy against Gog in these words: Thus says the Lord GOD: See! I am coming at you, Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal.	1 "Ora tu, figlio dell'uomo, profetizza contro Gog, di': Così dice il Signore Dio: Eccomi contro di te, Gog, principe di Ros, Mesech e Tubal.
2 I will turn you about, I will urge you on, and I will make you come up from the recesses of the north; I will lead you against the mountains of Israel.	2 Ti richiamerò, ti trascinerò, ti farò salire dall'estremo nord e ti condurrò sui monti d'Israele.
3 Then I will strike the bow from your left hand, and make the arrows drop from your right.	3 Colpirò l'arco nella tua sinistra e farò cadere le frecce dalla tua destra.
4 Upon the mountains of Israel you shall fall, you and all your troops and the peoples who are with you. To birds of prey of every kind and to the wild beasts I am giving you to be eaten.	4 Cadrai sui monti d'Israele tu e tutte le tue schiere e i popoli che sono con te. Ti darò in pasto agli uccelli rapaci, uccelli d'ogni specie, e alle bestie della campagna.
5 On the open field you shall fall, for I have decreed it, says the Lord GOD.	5 Cadrai in aperta campagna. Sì, ho parlato, oracolo del Signore Dio.
6 I will send fire upon Magog and upon those who live securely in the coastlands; thus they shall know that I am the LORD.	6 Manderò il fuoco su Magog e sui regnanti dei lidi che sono al sicuro e riconosceranno che io sono il Signore.
7 I will make my holy name known among my people Israel; I will no longer allow my holy name to be profaned. Thus the nations shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.	7 Farò conoscere il mio santo nome in mezzo al mio popolo Israele; non lascerò più profanare il mio santo nome. Le genti riconosceranno che io sono il Signore, il Santo in Israele.
8 Yes, it is coming and shall be fulfilled, says the Lord GOD. This is the day I have decreed.	8 Ecco che è giunto e si compie, oracolo di Dio, mio Signore, il giorno di cui ho parlato.
9 Then shall those who live in the cities of Israel go out and burn weapons: (shields and bucklers,) bows and arrows, clubs and lances; for seven years they shall make fires with them.	9 Gli abitanti delle città d'Israele usciranno, bruceranno e incendieranno gli armamenti, scudi grandi e piccoli, arco e frecce, mazze e lance; avranno da bruciare per sette anni.
10 They shall not have to bring in wood from the fields or cut it down in the forests, for they shall make fires with the weapons. Thus they shall plunder those who plundered them and pillage those who pillaged them, says the Lord GOD.	10 E non dovranno prendere legna dalla campagna, non ne taglieranno dai boschi perché ne avranno da bruciare con gli armamenti: saccheggeranno i loro saccheggiatori e deprederanno i loro depredatori, oracolo di Dio, mio Signore.
11 On that day I will give Gog for his tomb a well-known place in Israel, the Valley of Abarim east of the sea (it is blocked to travelers). Gog shall be buried there with all his horde, and it shall be named "Valley of Hamon-gog."	11 Allora darò a Gog come sepolcro in Israele un luogo rinomato: la valle di Abarìm, a oriente del mare: essa sbarra il passaggio; vi seppelliranno Gog e tutta la sua moltitudine e la chiameranno Valle dell'armata di Gog.
12 To purify the land, the house of Israel shall need seven months to bury them.	12 La casa d'Israele, per purificare la terra, dovrà seppellire per sette mesi.
13 All the people of the land shall bury them and gain renown for it, when I reveal my glory, says the Lord GOD.	13 Tutta la popolazione si darà a seppellire: il giorno della mia glorificazione diverrà per essi famoso, oracolo di Dio, mio Signore.
14 Men shall be permanently employed to pass through the land burying those who lie unburied, so as to purify the land. For seven months they shall keep searching.	14 Gli uomini del tamîd sceglieranno quelli che devono percorrere il paese, seppellendo chi è rimasto sulla superficie della terra, per purificarla. Andranno in ricognizione per sette mesi.
15 When they pass through, should they see a human bone, let them put up a marker beside it, until others have buried it in the Valley of Hamon-gog.	15 Gli incaricati percorreranno il paese e, vedendo ossa umane, ne faranno dei mucchi ai lati, finché i seppellitori le seppelliranno nella Valle dell'armata di Gog.
16 (Also the name of the city shall be Hamonah.) Thus the land shall be purified.	16 Il nome della città sarà Amonà: così purificheranno il paese.
17 As for you, son of man, says the Lord GOD, say to birds of every kind and to all the wild beasts: Come together, from all sides gather for the slaughter I am about to provide for you, a great slaughter on the mountains of Israel: you shall have flesh to eat and blood to drink.	17 A te, figlio dell'uomo, dice Dio, il Signore Dio: Di' ai volatili d'ogni specie e a tutti gli animali della campagna: Radunatevi e venite, raccoglietevi da ogni parte sul sacrificio che immolo per voi, sacrificio grande sui monti d'Israele. Mangerete carne e berrete sangue:
18 You shall eat the flesh of warriors and drink the blood of the princes of the land (rams, lambs, and goats, bullocks, fatlings of Bashan, all of them).	18 mangerete carne di eroi e berrete sangue di prìncipi della terra: sono tutti capri e agnelli e montoni, giovenchi e animali grassi di Basan.
19 From the slaughter which I will provide for you, you shall eat fat until you are filled and drink blood until you are drunk.	19 Mangerete grasso a sazietà e berrete sangue fino all'ebbrezza dal sacrificio che ho immolato per voi.
20 You shall be filled at my table with horses and riders, with warriors and soldiers of every kind, says the Lord GOD.	20 Alla mia tavola vi sazierete di cavalli e di cavalieri, di eroi e di ogni tipo di soldato. Oracolo del Signore Dio.
21 Thus I will display my glory among the nations, and all the nations shall see the judgment I have executed and the hand I have laid upon them.	21 Manifesterò la mia gloria tra le genti; tutte le genti vedranno la condanna che ho eseguito e la mano che ho calcato su di essi.
22 From that day forward the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD, their God.	22 Quelli della casa d'Israele riconosceranno che io sono il Signore, il loro Dio, da allora in poi.
23 The nations shall know that because of its sins the house of Israel went into exile; for they transgressed against me, and I hid my face from them and handed them over to their foes, so that all of them fell by the sword.	23 Le genti riconosceranno che fu per le loro colpe che quelli della casa d'Israele andarono in esilio; siccome avevano commesso infedeltà contro di me, ho distolto la mia faccia da loro, li ho dati in balìa dei loro oppressori e sono caduti di spada.
24 According to their uncleanness and their transgressions I dealt with them, hiding my face from them.	24 Li ho trattati secondo le loro impurità e le loro rivolte, distogliendo la mia faccia da loro.
25 Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD: Now I will restore the fortunes of Jacob and have pity on the whole house of Israel, and I will be jealous for my holy name.	25 Perciò così dice Dio, mio Signore: Ora muterò la sorte dei prigionieri di Giacobbe e mi lascerò commuovere, per tutta la casa d'Israele, e sarò geloso del mio santo nome.
26 They shall forget their disgrace and all the times they broke faith with me, when they live in security on their land with no one to frighten them.	26 Sì, scorderanno la loro vergogna e le loro infedeltà commesse contro di me, quando abiteranno al sicuro nel loro paese e nessuno li farà più tremare.
27 When I bring them back from among the peoples, I will gather them from the lands of their enemies, and will prove my holiness through them in the sight of many nations.	27 Li toglierò via dai popoli e li raccoglierò dai paesi dei loro nemici e sarò riconosciuto santo per mezzo loro al cospetto di molte genti.
28 Thus they shall know that I, the LORD, am their God, since I who exiled them among the nations, will gather them back on their land, not leaving any of them behind.	28 Riconosceranno che io sono il Signore, il loro Dio, per averli condotti in esilio presso le genti e averli riuniti nel loro paese senza lasciarne alcuno laggiù.
29 No longer will I hide my face from them, for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, says the Lord GOD.	29 Non distoglierò più la mia faccia da essi; perché spanderò il mio spirito sulla casa d'Israele, oracolo di Dio mio Signore".
